'Salaat-ul-Wustaa': An Interpretation

What is Salaat?

Haafizuu alas Salawaati was Sala atil wustaa: wa quumuu lillaahi qaani-tiin.

“Secure your Salaat [God will guarantee your protection]. Observe the middle prayer strictly, and stand before Allah in submission.” (Al-Baqara, 2: 239)

The etymological and semantic approach teaches us that, in the context of the aforementioned verse, it is grafted on the primary meaning of Haafizuu (protect, secure or rigorously observe), the idea of constancy and of fighting against an opposing force in the dynamic of protection.

Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad, second caliph of the Ahmadiyya Movement and Musleh Ma’ud (ra), has explicitly evoked the game of reciprocity to indicate that protecting (observing) the Salaat would be equivalent to benefiting in return of the protective umbrella of the Salaat.

Innas-Salaata tan-haa anil-fahshaaa-i wal-munkar [The Salaat prevents turpitude and reprehensible acts] and “Wasta-iinuu bis-Sabri was-Salaah” [And seek help in steadfastness and prayer] state and delve into the same subject. In other words, all the characteristics inherent in Salaat, as mentioned in the Holy Quran, will work together to ensure your protection forever. This gives an even larger dimension to the act of Salaat.

Regarding the Middle Salaat [Salaat-ul-Wustaa], the opinions of commentators on the Holy Quran vary depending on the subjective criteria they set for themselves. For some, chronologically speaking, the Salaat-ul-Asr would be the Middle Salaat. For others, in terms of importance, it would be more the Salaat-ul-Tahajjud.

With the advent of a new era of Divine Manifestation and my coming as a Reviver of Faith, it is my duty to clear up with the help of Allah the confused points that divide the Ummah.

Poem: 'The Wondrous Qur'an'

Listen dear people! Without the Quran,

Man never reaches God.

Whoever is unaware of this light,

Is not fit for the eyes of the Friend.

The Furqan [the Holy Quran] has a wonderful effect,

In that it makes one a lover of the true Beloved.

It gives us authentic tidings of the One,

Whose name is the Greatest, the Almighty.

It draws man towards the abode of the Beloved,

And then it shows him signs beyond his ken.

It fills the heart with light divine,

And cleanses the breast thoroughly.

What more of its excellences should I describe,

Suffice it to say that it gives a new life to life.

Fixing Our Broken Politics

Towards a Political Revivification-III

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, I continue my Friday Sermon today on the subject of fraud and corruption in politics. I still take Mauritius as an example, for in the world today, Mauritius has exceeded all limits [as the last straw which breaks the camel’s back]. With its entry into the blacklist, thus revealing a very large black hole in the management of the country as a whole, Mauritians have realized that our beautiful island is now the prey of power-thirsty sharks, who instead of watching over the welfare of the people and the good reputation of the country, they insist on becoming notorious for their mismanagement by placing incompetent people in key positions in the country, those who are the protected people and even the puppets of the present government. And this practice has existed all the time, not only during the mandate of this government. We all know that as soon as a government [of several countries and even Mauritius] takes charge of the country, it puts [in key positions] the people who are in its favour, and these people become puppets in its hand.

All Mauritians know very well that the proceedings of the elections of November 07, 2019 are unheard of [have never occurred before in the country]. Never before has the vote count continued until the wee hours of the morning (the next day) - going until 3.00-4.00 a.m. Many misdemeanours took place where original ballot papers were found in sugarcane fields and many Mauritians found themselves off the electoral list, thus unable to vote. Instead of the Mauritians, there are foreign workers who have received the approval of the authorities (the government - since its first term) to vote. In light of recent evidence [which has made the news], election expenses for some political parties have exceeded allowable limits.

There are a lot of frustrations expressed by the Mauritian people. Mauritians revolted against these injustices, not only in Mauritius but in other countries as well.

I cite a few examples of the tragedies that took place in Mauritius during the COVID-19 containment. There is too much to say, but I will only name a few that have made a strong impression on Mauritians and Mauritius’s reputation at the global level.

Poem: ‘A Transient Life’

Beware! O ye who are so watchful and by nature pure

In your greed for this world, do not ruin your faith.

Do not tie your heart to this transitory abode,

For underneath its pleasure lie hidden hundreds of woes.

If only you had the ears to hear;

You would catch the voice from the grave singing:

 'O my would-be prey;

Do not agonize over the sordid affairs of this world'.

Plunder and Apathy in Covid Times

Towards a Political Revivification- II

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah,  continue on the subject of fraud and corruption in politics, in a national and even international society that calls itself democratic and liberated, especially in terms of freedom of expression. Much has happened since the discovery of the new type of coronavirus, COVID-19 [and quite recently another type which appeared in England] which has wreaked havoc in terms of contamination and deaths since December 2019. The economy of the world, that of large super powered countries and even small islands like Mauritius have found themselves affected by this virus not only in terms of human physical health, but also in terms of the economic health of our island and the world in general.

This is no secret for us members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam because Allah has already made us understand how man destroys himself by doing experiments, whether biological or atomic [or even nuclear etc.] to conquer territories or as a means of revenge on others by starting wars of this kind. COVID-19 is certainly a divine punishment, for Allah uses the demonic inventions of man and turns them against him. But at the same time many innocent lives find themselves touched by the calamity, like a scene from Doomsday. Therefore, all men will be raised [after death] and will be accountable to Allah for the actions they have committed. The innocent and the pious will be saved from eternal punishment while the guilty will be condemned for eternity or for as long as Allah wants them to suffer punishment.

In my previous sermons we saw how divine vengeance comes to save believers and cleanse the world of the impious [those who goes against/ blaspheme the religion of Allah], and to revive this same world and give men the opportunity to seriously reflect on whatever comes across them. We have seen how Muslims, because of their faith in Islam, in Allah the Unique, in Muhammad (pbuh) and in all the chosen prophets of Allah, as well as in the book of Allah - the Holy Quran, have been trampled on, whether, in Palestine, Iraq, France, the United States, Burma and even China. The atrocities committed against the pure religion of Allah - Islam and the persecutions of innocent believers [such as the Palestinians, as well as the Royingyas, and Uyghur Muslims, and Islam as a whole] are the last straw that broke the camel’s back. Allah is neither deaf nor dumb. He listens and sees everything and He is not indifferent to what is going on in the world He created with His own hands. He certainly hears the cry of the innocent and that of His Khalifatullah.

The Ethics of Democratic Renewal

 Towards a Political Revivification-I

The Muslim world discovered over the 15th century of the Hegira, especially during the last fifteen years, a political revival. This is evident, at least in form, both internationally and locally. From Baghdad (in Iraq) to Beirut (in Lebanon) via Riyadh (in Saudi Arabia) and Ramallah (in Palestine), the time seems to have come, or will come, for the people to verily choose, the democratic process that is still in its infancy [as we say in Creole, it is still in ‘kindergarten’, in a trial and error course], as if the heads of state, the leaders do not want the people to come up front to practice true democracy. The free practice of democracy is not yet fully liberated.

For example, Palestine till today does not have a democratic system where people can freely elect their President. From the start of Yasser Arafat’s reign in 1989 until his death in 2004, and now even after his death after Mahmoud Abbas became the ruler of the country, it is a small group of people who elect the President and in all these offices / political positions, it is Mahmoud Abbas himself who is the President, and thus he can do whatever he wants to do, without having to account for his actions to the people, and then this tradition that they have, to keep the power to govern for them [i.e. the heads of state], is perpetuated.

Democracy, the democratic process is certainly present at least on the lips, but in truth it is an autocracy [or authoritarianism], a terrible dictatorship, especially in the Muslim countries that reign there. But despite this, in the global aspect, in the world despite the trial and error stage of this democracy and the time it takes to be fully practiced, but it cannot be denied that there is an evolution where, previously, the Authoritarianism, if not dictatorship, was the only mode of operation. But the question arises: Does this really mean that democracy will solve all problems?

Tamil Nadu Jalsa: Special Message

[On the occasion of the Tamil Nadu State Jalsa in India, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) of Mauritius addressed the gathering of believers on the morning of 27 December 2020. Reproduced below is the extracts from the Text of the Special Message]:

May the peace and blessings of Allah be with you all!

We must first of all thank Allah (twa) infinitely because, by His great Kindness, He granted to the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam of Tamil Nadu as well as the Jamaat of Kerala the honour and the privilege of organising the Jalsa Salana 2020 despite the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. I must say, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

The whole world appears to be in turmoil and even the islands are not spared with the coronavirus/ COVID-19 which is wreaking havoc across the globe. Millions and millions are contaminated with COVID-19 and there more than a million have died from it around the world. In addition, there is the global economic crisis, loss of jobs, corruption, also drought (even here in Mauritius), social problems, drugs, and floods and many other forms of calamity. It is therefore incumbent upon us to pray for the safeguard and advancement of Islam - Sahih al Islam, as well as humanity throughout the world. The length of life on earth is unknown to us. We cannot know how many will have already died. Our duty is to warn people of the fragility of this time. Allah (twa) has informed me several times that this time will be even more dangerous and will herald the approach of Qiyamah (The Last Day).

Dues of God and Our Attitudes

'Be Truly Muslim'

Who can be guilty of a greater wrong than one who forbids Allah’s name being glorified in His mosques and seeks to bring about their ruin? It behoves not such to enter therein except in fear of Allah. For them is disgrace in this world and a great chastisement in the next. (Al-Baqara 2: 115)

This has reference to the misconduct and disorderliness of the Christians who failed in the matter of due veneration of the Holy City and brought about its ruin in arrogant pride. For those who were guilty of such arrogance, disgrace in this life and a severe chastisement in the hereafter is pronounced.

Allah says in the Holy Quran: “To Allah belong the East, and the West; whether so ever you turn, there is the countenance of Allah. Surely, Allah is All-Pervading, All-Knowing.” (Al-Baqara 2: 116).

“Never will the Jews be pleased with you, (O Prophet), nor the Christians until you follow their way. Say: ‘Surely Allah’s guidance, is the [true] guidance.’ Should you follow their desires disregarding the knowledge which has come to you, you shall have no protector or helper against Allah.” (Al-Baqara 2: 121).

The only true guidance is the guidance sent by Allah.

'Obey and Follow the Messenger'

Obedience to Allah & the Khalifatullah

“And whoso obeys Allah and His Messenger, and fears Allah, and is mindful of Him, it is they who will be successful.” (An-Nur 24: 53)

The responsibility of the Messenger of Allah, the Khalifatullah is so great and vast and frightening that it reminds one of the commandments of Allah and His Messenger Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) to obey Allah and the divinely-appointed Messenger and to fear Allah and to obey Him in everything He has said and to regulate and live our lives as per His Instructions, in the Holy Quran and in the practices (Sunnah) and sayings or teachings (Hadiths) of His noble prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh).

Allah (swt) appoints His own representative (Khalifa). I have always believed in this, because the first Khalifatullah whom Allah (swt) sent was Hazrat Adam (as) with the Ruh’il Quddus (Holy Spirit) and by the grace of Allah this has been continued throughout the eras and Allah appointed Hazrat Dawud (as) as the Khalifatullah of his era, and this kind of divine appointment to caliphate is a continuous process for as long as humans exist on earth. So, I always believed that such divine-appointed and divinely-guided caliphs will come to guide men in the right path.

The Importance of Prayer -III

When we are praying, i.e., when we are performing our Salat, duahs, the Darood Sharif and other prayers, they are mainly in Arabic, but it is not forbidden to submit your prayers (invocations) in your own language as well. Without this, you cannot progress! The Arabic as well as a good understanding of the Arabic is vital for the believer needs to know what he is saying and asking of God Almighty.

Prayers, which are submitted in humility and with full dedication, are accepted by Almighty Allah and the sins of such people are forgiven. God Almighty says: “Innal hasanaati yudhhib nas-say-yi aati.” (Surah Hud 11: 115) - i.e., Good deeds wipe out bad deeds. The real impact of the state of humility can only be achieved in one’s own language. So, now and then, do pray in your own language. The best prayer is Surah Al-Fatiha because it is a very comprehensive prayer. When a farmer is aware of farming tricks, then he always achieves a good crop. So, you should look for the Straight Path to Almighty God and pray: “O my Lord! I am a sinner, in deep trouble. Show me the right path.”

Minor and big matters, all, should be submitted without any hesitation to God. He is the only One Who can forgive. Pious are those who pray, and pray a lot. If you knock at a miser’s door constantly, even he is bound to listen to you one day. So, how is it possible that the Gracious and Merciful God will not reward you? A good beggar always manages to get the reward in the end. The second name of Salat is prayer. As God Almighty says:

“Wa idha sa alaka ibadi anni, fa inni qareeb. Ujeebu da’watad daa’ee idha da aaani, fal yasta jeebuulee, wal yuminuu-bee, la allahum yarshuduun.”

“When My servants ask you concerning Me, (tell them) I am very close and always listen to those who call upon Me; so they should answer My call too, and believe in Me, so that they may be guided aright.” (Al-Baqara 2: 187).

Jalsa 2020: Special Address

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim

My dear disciples,

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, it gives me great pleasure to join the Jalsa Salana International along with that of the Kerala Jamaat on this blessed day, 19th December 2020. Despite the overall COVID-19 situation prevailing, we are able to hold our Jalsa Salana in respect of the Islamic guidance as well as the government protocols in our respective countries. Bear in mind that the pandemic will become all the more serious in the coming year. Even though Mauritius is more or less free from the pandemic, in respect of local contaminations, I pray for all my disciples who are found in India and elsewhere in the world where the COVID-19 situation has become very serious. May Allah bless you all, protect you from every harm, and grant you such grace which will suffice for you in this world and the life to come. May Allah bless all my companions who are working day and night to further the cause of Islam around the world and enable them to march towards the victory of Islam through the guidance of Allah and His Khalifatullah of this era. Ameen.

Qur'anic Commandments- 3

In times like ours, the world of ‘religion’ resembles every other arena of human affairs: a fertile field full of thieves, scamsters, fraudsters, scoundrels and speculators! Wishful thinking, metaphysical speculation and theological conjecture seem to ‘thrive’ on the bazaar of religions today. For instance, in our country (India) today, countless ‘godmen’ (and ‘godwomen’) literally capitalize on the ignorance and stupidity of gullible masses. Out to exploit the emotions and devotional sentiments of the people who flock to them, the religious fraudsters confuse and deviate the ignorant folks who come to seek respite from their everyday problems. Through deceitfully claiming nearness to God or presenting themselves as no less than 'Avtaar', promising welfare and spiritual salvation; the religious thugs rob the poor of their precious financial savings, and what not! It is as though a Qur’anic warning has come alive: “many rabbis and monks wrongfully consume people’s possessions and turn people away from God’s path.” (9:35). In South Asia and elsewhere, the moral decadence and corruption among the chiefs and the priests is found widely among all communities of the land- Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, and the Muslims- today.

Fortunately, Islam has a way  for reclaiming its original spiritual moorings even when its true legacy is twisted and corrupted at the hands of lesser men who "consume people’s possessions and turn people away from God’s path” (9:35). Muslims could go back and rediscover the spiritual treasures of their religion by seeking to know and understand the framework of Qur'anic ethics. To put at rest the metaphysical speculations and theological conjectures widely seen among other peoples- practices that have deviated the peoples from the correct appreciation of their own true spiritual doctrines-, the Qur'an emphatically declares that in ‘religion’, true guidance is the guidance of God. Whenever men interpret religion to suit their own whims and vanities (Bid'ah), as they will in every generation, there is a need for a stream of Divine Elects, to teach the Scripture and wisdom, and to purify the people morally and spiritually, through their own exemplary lives. The roots of the Islamic concepts of spiritual renewal, moral awakening of the Ummah, true succession to the Prophetic heritage, etc.- represented in the august spiritual office of 'Mujaddid', 'Muhyi-ud-Din', 'Khalifatullah', etc. claimed by Divine savants throughout the history of Islam-  can be traced back to the very philosophy of religion that Islam espouses. Whenever corruption and evil stalk the land, believers can be reassured by the fact that Allah (swt) will raise High representatives (24:56) to reclaim the True Legacy of Divine worship among the humans.

Indeed, the Book of Revelations, sent by God Almighty through His chosen messenger(s), set the criterion for distinguishing between good and evil. Inspired by the Holy Spirit (Roohul Quddus), the Heavenly-imbued souls who teach the Holy Book to their own people after their Prophet(s), strive to illumine the correct and straight path of life for the benefit of all around them. Most certainly, Divine guidance is built on solid foundations, and the Arc of the Prophets is firmly anchored on Divine waters. It is the obligation of the believers, individually and collectively, to implement the spirit of the Divinely-ordained code of conduct in their everyday life- be it in private and family spaces; in professional and social life; in community and national practices; in the rules and regulations a people abide by in the global comity of nations. Hence, it is important for the believers to be aware of Divine commandments and expectations so as to guard against evil, and to remain on the path of God- consciousness and prudence in life.

The Importance of Prayer- II

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, Allah (swt) has given me this opportunity to continue my sermon on the Importance of Prayer. So, it is said in the Holy Quran: “O God, give us in this world that which will help us hereafter also, and save us from the suffering of hell.”

So, your daily duty is to pray to God. This is your real work. Never ponder whether or not your prayer has been heard in the Court of God. That is His prerogative. Our prayers should be in harmony with the will of God, and we should feel happy in whatever He wills.

To pray effectively, it is necessary that we should conduct our life as desired by the Master, and that we should experience happiness in the remembrance of God Almighty.

Qur’anic Commandments-II

A TREASURE TROVE of practical wisdom, beneficial to humans in their every day individual and community life, are preserved in the Holy Qur'an in the form of Divine Commandments. Long before the advent of the Holy Prophet of Islam (sa) in Arabia, God's Prophets addressed their own communities on good and evil, on right living and right conduct, and on how to avoid wrongdoing and mischief in the land, and to preserve justice and peace among different communities in society. Thanks to the Divine Blessing of the advent of the Holy Prophet (sa) and the Holy Qur'an, we have access to those timeless teachings- the universal wisdom of the Ages- originally addressed by Allah (swt) to the ancient communities through their own messengers.

The pearls of practical advice, recorded in a succinct way in the Book of God, invite every human to lead a life in profound awareness of the Oneness of God, the Creator, the Controller and Fashioner of our destinies in the world; a life of ethical moderation and spiritual contemplation where a Seeker trains his soul to leave behind the temptations and evil impulses of earthly existence, so as to embrace its heavenly destiny in remembrance of, and nearness to, God.

The spiritual guideposts encourage one to adopt the virtues of modesty and balance in personal habits and temperament, beginning from the food we eat and the provisions we seek. We should cultivate humility and the spirit of accommodation as personal qualities in our relations with others. We should neither be domineering, nor high-handed in our engagements involving fellow beings. We should seek to avoid discord in relations with spouses, with the rest of the family, and within the wider community and society. Put differently, strive to be fair and just in fulfilling all your responsibilities; respect the rights and free choices of others; discharge your duties towards relatives as well as strangers, and try to avoid all that can lead to discord and conflicts in social and community relations. Learn to forgive and forbear in times of differences with others. Indeed, Qur'anic ethics, when practiced by real men and women, will lead to both inner peace, community solidarity and social tranquillity.

The Divine Law warns against injustice and domineering attitudes in society as it can lead to disputes and violence and anarchy, destroying the whole edifice from within. Reminding us about those who sold their souls for cheap victories in this life at the price of the Hereafter, the Heavenly Light strongly urge us to consider, prefer and embrace truly-rewarding choices, in weighing the priorities in our moment in this world. Indeed, Qur'an's discerning teachings could work as foundational basis for anyone who seeks to construct a life rooted and nurtured in spiritual values; a life of prayer and utter devotion to God, and of performing good works and of sacrificing and giving for the benefit of fellow beings.

The Importance of Prayer- I

Prayer is such a medicine that it can turn a dry wood into a green branch and can fuse life into (spiritually) dead people. It has unlimited credentials. If someone is in an unresolved situation, the prayer only can save him.

A materialist considers this life to be a machine, the parts of which are being run by the blind forces of cause and effect, and he does not admit that there is an ultimate Being who is directing it. But one who knows the reality, while agreeing that the law of cause and effect is working, further knows that this is being done under the orders and directions of a Supreme Being. He, therefore, while keeping an eye on the causes and their effects, appeals to the Creator of the universe, the Supreme Cause for help, and surrenders gladly to His will and pleasure. God [Allah], the Creator of the Universe, may do whatever is good for him, for it is only the Lord (God) who knows what is good for him.

Qur’an: Guiding Souls

Our life on earth is a gift from God, the Lord and Master of the Universe. It is our solemn duty to learn and recognize the Way of Life ordained by our Sustainer. For, His laws and commandments throw clear light on life’s complex crossroads so that we  find right directions and always remain on the correct path, the Way of the Righteous (Muttaqin). Indeed, a Muttaqi, even when bruised by the complicated trajectories of earthly trials, in submitting to the Divine expectations and regulations, will invariably find sprouting signs of  mercy, grace and infinite kindness of God around her.

Moreover, to help and guide the deeply-flawed and evil-prone humans in every day life, our Creator and True Friend has sent down the Book of revelations (Kitaab) with practical wisdom (Hikmah) through the sublime blessing of Prophecy (Nubuwwah). Likewise, Sunnat Allah has established Wilayah/ Khilafa -the Divine practice of  raising holy men as an unbroken chain in every age in the Ummah to preserve, sustain and to renew the spiritual highway for all times. It is by accepting the Divine revelations and messages as well as by following in the noble footsteps of the Divinely-inspired men when they arrive that we can remain on the Way of Divine Pleasure, so as not to be lost or drowned, or be confused, in the difficult journey of earthly life. The ringing words of the Qur'an is as follows:  ‘When guidance comes to you from Me, as it certainly will, there will be no fear for those  who follow My guidance, nor will they grieve’----(2:39)

'Duah': Invocations to Allah- XXI

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, I continue, by the grace of Allah, The Possessor of Majesty, Honour and Glory [Dhul Jalali wal Ikram] my 21st and final sermon in this series of sermons centred on duahs. This subject is certainly very vast and we can never stop talking about the subject of duahs; I cannot put before you [in these few sermons] all the duahs that Allah revealed to His Messengers, Messiah and the Khalifatullah of the time.

Rabbi atinee milladunka ansaaran fee deenika wa adh-hib annee huznee wa asli lee shaanee kullahu laa ilaaha illa anta.

O my Lord! Grant me helpers to assist me in Your religion, and take away my worries and make me succeed in my efforts; there is nobody else to help except You.

Wamaa taufeeqee illa billaahi, rabbi’an-tiquaa bil-haqqi waksif’-alainal haqqa wahdinaa ilaa haqqin mubeen.

I am not in a position to achieve anything without the favour of Almighty God. O my Lord, help me to speak truth, reveal truth to us and guide us to righteousness.

Bismillah-illazi laa yazwurru ma’asmihi shay-unn fil ardzi wa laa fis-samaa’a-ee wa huwa sami’-ul ‘aleem.

In the name of Allah, the name of Whom none in this world and in the heavens can do any harm, and He hears all and knows all.

Rabbin surrni ‘alal qawmil-mufsideen.

O my Rab, help me against the people who are creating havoc.

Wa laa tousmitbi aduwan wa laa laasedan.

Let not any jealous or enemy humiliate me.

Rabbi kullu shay-inn khaadimuka; Rabbi faahfazna wan surna war hamna.

My Rab, all things are Your servant; My Lord protect us and guide us and have pity on us.

'Duah': Invocations to Allah- XX

First of all, I must thank my Rab for giving me such golden opportunities to make up to now, twenty sermons on the subject of “duahs” (invocations) for the benefit of all my sincere disciples, the seekers of truth and all our other Muslim brothers, sisters and children, and also for humanity at large.

As you are aware, humanity is in danger; so we need to pray a lot. Only Allah (swt) will save us from all kinds of difficulties, dangers, sicknesses, viruses, crimes, economic problems, etc. Insha-Allah.

In this era, you all people are very fortunate to have a Messenger of Allah among you but alas few of you heed the message. Most people turn their backs to the divine message and blessings and scoff at the Messenger of Allah.

So fortunate are those who recognize the divine blessings and accept with full sincerity the Messenger of Allah. And I can assure these sincere disciples that Allah (swt) will bless you and you shall be always in the care of your Rab and in the hereafter you will receive, Insha-Allah, a great reward from your Creator and Allah (swt) will be pleased with you and you also will be pleased with Him. And all those sacrifices that you are presently doing for His cause in this temporal world shall be boundlessly magnified for you in the eternal world of Allah. Ameen.

Now, I put before you again some of the revealed duahs during this present Divine Manifestation (our era of great divine blessings):

Divinely-revealed Prayers- II

Duahs: Invocations to Allah- XIX

In all circumstances of our lives, we need to stay connected with Allah, for He alone is our Support System, the Mighty One. He alone has the capacity to bring to naught a danger, and to enhance the honour of anyone of His servants whom He wants. The Divine Manifestation began in this era to bring people to take conscience of the existence of God Almighty in their lives, as well as His importance. Without the support of Allah, without His mercy, and help, no one can ever make any progress in life, and cannot hope to attain to salvation. Allah is Himself Hope, He is everything a person should need. If we have Allah with us, then we are the richest creatures ever.

In the ups and downs of life, and especially the initial days of the Divine Manifestation, during the times of both the Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen and the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Allah has shown to His Khalifatullah and to His true and sincere followers the richness of the divine truth. And one of the treasures Allah bestowed upon us Muslims in this era, besides the Holy Quran and Sunnah, are the treasures of duahs that we need to recite to come closer to Allah and to seek Allah’s help for the ultimate victory of Islam. The victory of Islam does not mean victory for Muslims, but it denotes the victory of Allah for man has come to realise the truthfulness and light within the Reality of Allah and His Messengers and Revelations. Indeed, we seek Allah alone and to bring all people towards their Creator, our wonderful God, Who is Perfect in His Being and Who has no partner in His worship: ALLAH

Therefore, it is by the absolute grace of Allah - Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah - that I continue my sermon for today on the subject of the “revealed duahs” vouchsafed to this humble self, the Khalifatullah of this era.

Rabbi farriq bainas sadiqeen wal kazabeen, anta tara kulla musliheen was swadiqeen.

O my Rab [Lord], show the difference between truth and falsehood; You are the Knower of those people who are truthful and good.

Rabbana waj’alna menal mukremeen.

O my Rab! Count us among the honourable people.

Allahumma beka ohaweto wa beka osaweto, wa beka oqateho.

O Allah! With Your help do I strive, with Your help do I assail, and with Your help do I battle.

Allahumma jal hazal Jamaat, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, wal Jamaat’ul Muttaqi wal Jamaat’ul Mubarak.

O Allah, make this Jamaat – the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam – a Jamaat of Muttaqi (God-fearing/ Pious & Righteous people) and a blessed Jamaat.

Divinely-revealed Prayers

Invocations to Allah-XVIII

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah. It is by the grace of Allah that today I once again continue my sermon on the “revealed duahs”.

O Allah! You were with us (or: You were working on our behalf – for our own benefit) before We were with ourselves; also, be with us since we are, as You were before we were! Put on us the clothes of Your Benevolence (Lutfika) and Your Majesty (Janaabika). Bring out the darkness of self-will from our hearts and let shine in our secret (Sirr) the light of surrender (to You)!

Make us contemplate the merits of Your choices so that what You require and that You choose for us becomes more dear to us than the choices we could make for ourselves.

O Allah! May Your guarantees not distract us from what You have commanded us or from what You require! You have invited us to submit to You and to stand constantly in Your presence: yet we are incapable of all this, unless You give us the strength to do so; If You do not strengthen us, we will be too weak [to access Your desire].

What could we be, without you having previously formed us? What could we achieve without You getting us there? How would we have the strength to do anything without Your assistance? So facilitate for us what You have ordered us to do, and help us to avoid what You want to keep us away from.

O Allah! Lead us into the Gardens of Abandonment (Riyad-al-Tafwid) and Paradise of Submission (Jannaat al-Taslim).

Sirat-un-Nabi Speech 2020

In a special Speech delivered on 31 October 2020~15 Rabi’ul Awwal 1442 AH against the backdrop of Milad-e-Sharief/ Seerat-un-Nabi 2020, Imam-Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius provides an appealing portrait of the life and times and teachings of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa(sa). Appearing at a very critical moment in history when idolatry and inequity stalked the world in all its diverse regions, the Prophet of Islam devoted his life to re-establish Divine Unity and Heavenly Order (Tawheed) in the world. Through a perpetual struggle against evil in all its  settings and manifestations, the Holy Prophet (sa) stood up for justice and fairness, compassion and understanding, kinship and giving for all of humanity, beyond all racial, ethnic/tribal or other individual or national considerations and prejudices. Indeed, the Islamic Way celebrates the diversity in Creation- of races and languages, animals and plants, flowers and colours in nature and the environment as a wondrous sign of the Unique Creator and Master and Protector of the Universe. Through the advocacy of sublime, ethical teachings designed to truly benefit all humankind in their everyday lives, the Holy Prophet (sa) blazed the trail of a path of spiritual liberation from false deities and their misleading conjectures. Islamic teachings offer social emancipation for everyone in their specific contexts: men; women; the youth; the aged; the widows; the indigent, the enslaved, etc. By constantly reminding about the Day of Reckoning, Islam put the fear of God on the hearts of the rich and the powerful in their dealings with the rest of the society. Indeed, the Islamic social order recognizes specific rights and corresponding obligations on all members of human solidarity, and everyone stand to gain by observing the duties towards God and fellow humans. Indeed, the noble teachings as well as the exemplary personal record of the Holy Prophet (sa) in establishing an ideal way of life remains to this day as a glittering star to guide mankind for all times, notes Hazrat Saheb (aba) in the Speech

Read the Discourse Below:

My dear disciples, and my other brothers, sisters and children of Islam, I wish you all:

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu

In the context of the Sirat-un-Nabi, I have chosen to talk to you about several aspects of the life and personality of the Holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh), including the events preceding his birth.

'Duah': Invocations to Allah- XVII

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah I continue my sermon today on the “revealed duahs”. May Allah make our life better by giving us His proximity. May He show us the way to Him and the way to approach Him. Ameen, Summa Ameen.

Here are the duahs revealed from 01-04 April 2004 during the Safar Zikrullah:

O Allah! Make me love the faith and magnify it in my heart; Make me hate impiety, debauchery and disobedience. Make me one of Your enlightened servants.

O Allah! Spare me Your punishment on the day You resurrect Your servants.

O Allah! May my body, my life and my heart be offered in sacrifice only to You. As far as I know, there is no Beloved [but You]! May every part of my being be sacrificed to You.

O my Master! Grant me all the excellent blessings of this time.

O Allah! Deign to hear [Litt. Deign enquire about] this voice calling You. If You don’t become like a Friend to me, my head will be pulverized into dust. With the hand of Your grace, help me so that I can lead people to know You.
