Kerala Jalsa 2023: Announcement

In a recent communication with members, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- Kerala officially announced the reception of approval for the forthcoming 14th Jalsa Salana programme at the historic Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra on December 26, 27, 28 & 29. In a recent letter to the Amir-Jamaat, Mukarram R. Jamaluddin Raother Saheb, Imam-Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius also agreed to address the gathering via YouTube on the last day of the Jalsa programme, i.e., Friday, the 29th December 2023, Insha Allah.

The formation of the Kerala Jamaat, as well as the annual Jalsa programme at the Noor’ul Islam Masjid-Mathra has vital importance in the spiritual lives of the believers in India. For in the annals of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International, the Kerala Jamaat is one of the early Jamaats to evolve among the believers outside of Mauritius. With the official establishment of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in the year 2008 after a few years of shaping up in the island-nation, the light of Tawheed emanating from the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius spread in the Indian state of Kerala; a number of brothers courageously declared their intention to recognize the spiritual claims of Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) and took the Bai’at at Alappuzha, Alhamdulillah. 

Khalifatullah at Mathra Masjid

Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius, and the International Sadr of the Siraj Makin Djawaharatul Kamal- the women’s wing of the Jamaat- Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen Fazli Amena Varsally completed a historic visit to India between 16 January and 10 February 2023, Alhamdulillah. As reported earlier,  during this all-India visit, Hazrat Saheb (aba) and team found time to meet with disciples and followers in various parts of the country: visiting Tamil Nadu and Kerala in the south, and also in the north of India, visiting places such as Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla, and Mumbai. 

One of the highlights of the nearly-month long holy visit was the time spent at the Noor'ul Islam Masjid- Mathra, 21-28 January 2023, Alhamdulillah. By the grace and blessings of Allah (swt), this is the third visit of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) to the historic Masjid in Kerala in the last decade, Summa Alhamdulillah. Members of the Jamaat in Kerala still fondly remember Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) and members of the pious household visiting the Mathra Masjid in January 2017, and also later in December 2018: both journeys took place under the will and pleasure of Almighty Allah. Indeed, the Jalsa (spiritual get-together that took place with the arrival of the Khalifatullah (aba)] at the Masjid brought so much joy and happiness to all disciples and followers present on these occasions, Masha Allah, Allah-u-Akbar!

Prophetic teachings note the significance of maintaining mutual relationships and beneficial exchanges: “Visit each other periodically. It will increase your love. Exchange gifts, you’ll grow to love one another.” Once again, by the immense grace and blessings of Allah (swt), the visit of the Khalifatullah (aba) and Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen Sadr Saheba to the Noor’ul Islam Masjid at Mathra- along with, and accompanied by, scores of disciples and followers from Tamil Nadu-, virtually created an atmosphere of spiritual festival (Jalsa) for all humble devotees and servants of God in this part of the world.

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim

My dear disciples,

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

 

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, it gives me great pleasure to join the Jalsa Salana International along with that of the Kerala Jamaat on this blessed day, 19^th December 2020. Despite the overall COVID-19 situation prevailing, we are able to hold our Jalsa Salana in respect of the Islamic guidance as well as the government protocols in our respective countries. Bear in mind that the pandemic will become all the more serious in the coming year. Even though Mauritius is more or less free from the pandemic, in respect of local contaminations, I pray for all my disciples who are found in India and elsewhere in the world where the COVID-19 situation has become very serious. May Allah bless you all, protect you from every harm, and grant you such grace which will suffice for you in this world and the life to come. May Allah bless all my companions who are working day and night to further the cause of Islam around the world and enable them to march towards the victory of Islam through the guidance of Allah and His Khalifatullah of this era. Ameen.

‘Darsul Qur’an’ in Malayalam

Qur’an for Soul Illumination

As the religion established by the Creator Himself, Islam’s teachings display an inherent awareness about human nature. It shows an intuitive understanding about the sublime heights to which a humble soul can soar high- or rather, be lifted up by the Heavenly Grace. It also indicates the darker depths to which the arrogant self would be brought down by the raging fires of Hell within when it moves away from its truer moorings. 'Did We not give him two eyes, a tongue, two lips, and point out to him the two clear ways (of good and evil)?' (HQ, 90: 9-11). 'Truly We guided him upon the way, be he grateful or ungrateful' (76: 4).   

According to the Book of God, what lays ahead for the human soul as well as for the wider fortunes of a nation is entirely based on the choices they prefer; the informed decisions they make concerning their own material and spiritual futures. Indeed, the God-gifted free will allows the humans to choose their life journeys: both the highways of righteousness and moderation, and of evil and injustice are open for selection by individuals and their communities and nations. The Holy Prophet (sa) clearly advised, 'O people! There are only two highways: the highway of good and the highway of evil. Make not the highway of evil more beloved to you than the highway of good'. Whether to become a people of moral responsibility and ethical restraint, who prefer racial and religious amity, tolerance of other ways of life, compassion for the less privileged, and show residual goodwill for all fellow beings- including animals and nature; or to become a society of maniacs who thrive on conquest, disorder and triumphalism- each could pursue what one prefers in this world for as long as Allah (swt) wills it so. After all, the final outcome or the eventual judgement of all matters are in the Hands of Allah (swt).   

In the perplexing surroundings of life on earth, the human soul craves for pure guidance: it is to aid and help in this latent human quest for illumination that Allah (swt) sends His messages through His chosen representatives in every era- a sublime act of mercy for His earthly creatures. Indeed, the advent of the Holy Prophet (sa) and the exemplary model of patience and steadfastness and Divine consciousness he left behind as his life in this world is a perennial source of inspiration for all those who are at crossroads of life, but remain in awe of God at all times: 'The Messenger of God is an excellent model for those of you who put your hope in God and the Last Day and remember Him often' (HQ, 33:22). 

Indeed, the Book of God left behind by the Prophet (sa) provides all encompassing guidance to the human soul, illuminating the correct and straight path to tread in the contingent circumstances of our earthly life. According to the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), there are over 700 verses of clear rulings in the Holy Qur’an and it is only by being aware of, and following them in full measure, that we become believers. Hazrat Mirza (as) wrote:

 ‘...beware and do not take a single step contrary to the teaching of God and the guidance of the Quran. I tell you truly that anyone who disregards even a small injunction of the seven hundred commandments of the Quran, shuts upon himself the door of salvation’.(Noah’s Ark, p. 42, UK edition, 2018). 

Promised Messiah and Imam Azim- I

In a recent essay in Malayalam, the respected Amir of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in South Kerala, Mukarram R. Jamaluddin Raother Saheb of Mathra, compiles together some very important extracts from the writings of the Promised Messiah Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian (1835-1908). These writings of the Promised Messiah (as) clearly establish that the descent of Divine revelations among human communities is a Sunnat Allah- a perennial practice of Allah (swt). From the times of Hadhrat Adam (as) onwards, God’s covenant with the Prophets included the duty on believers in every era to help and assist in the establishment of Tauheed on earth, by believing and following in the footsteps of the Divine Elects raised amongst them (Holy Qur'an, 03:82; 33:08, 02:39; 07:36). 

The Promised Messiah (as), through his writings, points out that the door of Divine revelations shall remain open till the Day of Judgement, and that the sincere and steadfast servants of God in every era shall have the opportunity to receive the special blessing and favours of God, like Allah (swt) bestowed upon His perfect devotees in the past- the Prophets; the Truthful in their belief, words and deeds; the Bearers of Testimony to the truth of the religion of Allah  by their words and deeds,; the Martyrs and the Righteous who stick to the right course under all circumstances (HQ, 01: 06-07; 04:70).

‘Do not think that God’s revelation is a thing of the past (The Holy Quran has perfected the Law of God, but this has not brought an end to revelation, for it is the life of a true religion. Any religion which is devoid of ongoing divine revelation is dead and forsaken by God) and that the Holy Spirit can no longer descend as it did so in previous times. 

I tell you truthfully that all doors may close—but the one from which the Holy Spirit descends, never shuts. Open the doors of your hearts so that the Holy Spirit may enter it. By closing the window from which the ray of light enters, you distance yourself from this sun of your own accord. Unenlightened ones! Come forth and open this window so that the sun might itself enter you. God has not closed the paths of His worldly blessings in this age. Rather, He has increased them. Do you then think that the paths of the blessings of heaven, which you sorely need at this time, have been closed by Him? Most certainly not! Rather, this door is wide open. In Surah Al-Faatihah God has taught that the door to every single blessing of the past has been opened for you. Why then do you refuse to accept them?...’

Qur'an and Imam Azim (atba)

Imam-Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (atba) of Mauritius is a servant of God in our turbulent times. Deeply attached to the faith of ISLAM from his early childhood, Hazrat Azim (atba) devoted himself to a life of spiritual contemplation and preaching, helping people appreciate the beauty and merits of the correct and straight path in life to tread on. Even as he guided hundreds of people in different nations in the Indian Ocean Island States to embrace Islam through his preaching efforts in the 1990's,  as he turned 40 years of age in the year 2000-01 Allah (swt) took him under the wing of His Mercy, giving him scores of spiritual titles, and inspired him with special Messages for the attention of all humanity. Alhamdulillah,  the Divine Mission of Imam Azim (atba) now enters its glorious twentieth year of existence, Summa Alhamdulillah.   

When a servant of God appears on the spiritual horizon and begins his sublime preaching, it is only natural that the Holy Qur'an will emit a glorious light of its pristine teachings in support of such Divinely-inspired claims. Indeed, the whole Qur'an will testify to the veracity of the Elects of God, for both the 'word' of God- Qur'an- and the 'act' of God- raising of His representatives- cannot be incompatible. Kerala Jalsa 2019: A Report

JAMAAT UL SAHIH AL ISLAM-Kerala (South) organized its Ninth Jalsa Salana at the historic Noorul Islam Masjid, Mathra, 22-23 December 2019. Alhamdulillah, in addition to the members in Mathra; brothers from Alappuzha and Karunagappally, also could reach the Mosque venue ahead of the commencement of the two-day programme. As a community of people with shared interests and concerns, common goals under the banner of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and the Imamat of the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius, the members of the Jamaat listened to speeches and engaged with one another in extended conversations, discussing the finer points of being a believer in Tawheed in these times. 

The brothers and sisters who participated in it viewed the get-together as an opportunity for soul-searching and critical self-reflection on our collective faith in the Islamic Way and all that it entails in our private lives and public conduct. They recognize that these are challenging times, a time when the world around is dangerously indulgent in a destructive trajectory of life, whereas the ethical and spiritual outlook is beckoning to a radically-moderate transformation in our whole outlook on all spheres of life. All of us also agree that even when the society around is largely indifferent, and in certain cases, actively hostile to all that we stand for; it is our duty as the party of believers to stand up with spiritual courage and sublime patience, perseverance and steadfastness on our truths, against all odds and at all costs. 

Eid-ul-Adha 2019 @ Mathra: A Report

Alhamdulillah, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha 2019, members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- South Zone- Kerala (India) celebrated this major Islamic festival in a unique and memorable way: early morning, the members performed Divine invocations, Eid Namaz and listened to the Eid Khutba at the historic Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra on 12 August 2019 ~ (10 Dhul Hijjah 1440 AH).

After the solemn Eid prayers at the Masjid in the morning, the Jamaat members took the initiative on the occasion to organize a social outreach/ community lunch Programme in the village’s Old Age Home, Summa Alhamdulillah.

Along with the lunch meeting with the mothers and sisters at the Meera Charitable Trust, Mukarram Amir Jamaat, Jenab R. Jamaluddin Raother Saheb also conducted an interactive session with students and other guests who were present on the occasion at the venue. 

Naib Sadr of the Siraj Makin, Fauzia Jamal-Zain Saheba also joined the Amir Saheb in the conversations with the young women and men, and they interacted on a range of significant issues that confront every human in this world: the purpose of life; true goals of education; our social responsibilities; the role of spirituality in shaping our ethical frameworks, etc. These conversations apparently opened up a world of thought  for the non-Muslim audience who were unfamiliar to many of those Islamic precepts. Indeed, the presentation of Prophetic traditions and Islamic perspectives for the betterment of all humans, including the duty to care for the indigent and socially marginalized, was deeply appreciated by those who listened to our members, Alhamdulillah. 

A Visit to Tamil Nadu Jamaats

Ever since the formal establishment of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in Tamil Nadu, especially with many of our brothers and sisters from the  neighbouring State joining Imam-Jamaat Hadhrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius and the respected and honoured members of the holy family for the Kerala Jalsa Salana at the Noor’ul Islam Masjid at Mathra last December; it has been the ardent wish of the members of the South Kerala Jamaat to go and meet our brothers in their own villages. Alhamdulillah, by the Grace and blessings of Allah, Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb of the South Kerala Jamaat; accompanied by Naib Amir Sadiq Ali Saheb, Secretary Tabligh Sulfikar Ali Saheb, and this humble blogger- recently had the opportunity to visit our brothers in Tamil Nadu- at Kottar and at Meleppalayam/Tirunelveli, and also to visit the site of the proposed first Mosque of the Jamaat in Tamil Nadu, the Siraj-um-Munir Masjid Project near Papanasam; 15-17 June 2019, Soumma Alhamdulillah.

As part of the first-leg of the tour, the south Kerala Jamaat team reached Kottar, a small-town near Kanya Kumari, the southern- most point in mainland India. Having met some of our Jamaat members at Kottar; the Team extended the journey to Meleppalayam/Tirunelveli Jamaat as well. Since two of the team members had not yet been there, the journey was also extended to include the proposed Siraj-um-Munir Masjid site near Papanasam, Alhamdulillah.

'Haqiqatul-Wahi' in Malayalam

Last month, the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International announced the publication of the first part of ‘Haqiqatul-‘Wahi’ (The Philosophy of Divine Revelations) in Malayalam. This classic of Ahmadiyya spiritual literature, written by the Promised Massih (as) in the last century was long available only in its original Urdu and Arabic editions, and the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya has finally unveiled an English edition of the work last week, almost 110 years after the Book was originally published. The Malayalam translation of the Book from the Arabic was accomplished by Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Raother Saheb of the South Kerala Jamaat, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

Reproduced below is the text of the Introduction to the Malayalam Translation:

“Haqiqat-ul-Wahi” is one of the most remarkable works of the Promised Massih and Mahdi Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian (1835-1908 CE). Written in May 1907 in Urdu and Arabic; the Book in many ways consolidates the saintly author’s life time of engagement with, and profound study of, the spiritual phenomenon of Divine revelations. In the social and religious context (of India and elsewhere) where dreams and other psychic phenomenon that the humans experience often confuse common people about the true nature of spiritual illumination and mislead them into giving credence to psychic illusions and there is a crying need for clear guidance on how to distinguish between false claimants and the Divinely-imbued souls in the path of the Exalted Being; the Promised Massih (as) makes this important contribution to our collective understanding on mystical realities surrounding dreams, visions and revelations.

Eight Years of the Jamaat in India

A Divine Elect in our Times

The Holy Founder and Imam of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International, Hadhrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) belongs to, and lives in, the Indian Ocean- island State of Mauritius. For close to two decades now, this devout servant of Islam has been proclaiming through all means available that he has a Divinely-inspired mission: of reclaiming and revitalizing the enduring message of Tawheed-thereby helping people appreciate the correct spiritual path; strengthening them morally and spiritually in these bewildering times. Like all men of God throughout history, Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) preaches Divine Love. Sharing pure Divine Messages coming from the Unseen, Hadhrat Saheb (atba) invites people to recognize the advent of his humble self in our midst as an Elect of God and consider the extraordinary possibility of acceding to the Divine countenance in this era as well by following his personal example. 

Those familiar with the profound history of Islamic spirituality over the last millennium and more- that witnessed the appearance of so many Divinely-imbued souls as the Pole Stars of the Religion and the Way- would not be surprised by the claims and arguments of Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) in our times. 

Like the Promised Massih Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian noted in the previous era, perfect followers of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) have always been blessed with Divine converse and guidance, all through Islamic history. The Promised Massih (as) referred to this special Divine phenomenon in many of his writings, when he stated: 

“Of all the leaders of Tasawwuf that there have been till the present day, not even one has disagreed with the point that in this religion the path to become the likes of prophets is open, as the Holy Prophet Muhammad has given the glad tidings for spiritual and godly learned persons that ‘the Ulama of my nation are like the Israelite Prophets’. 

‘Days of Noah’ over Kerala

"And indeed, We sent Moses with Our signs: Bring out your people from the depths of darkness into light. Remind them of the Days of God:" (Surah Ibrahim, 14: 5). 

Less than a year back, at the beginning of the present Islamic year AH 1439, Imam Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Hadhrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius made a Divinely-inspired Sermon, cautioning the peoples everywhere about the impending calamities that are about to strike around the world, including the Indian Ocean region. In that Friday Sermon of 29 September 2017, Hadhrat Saheb (atba) specifically cautioned against the dangers from looming calamities such as devastating floods in our times:

“Today is the 8th of Muharram of the year 1439 AH… I ask you to listen to all that I am telling you. From this Muharram 1439 AH to the next Muharram 1440 AH - believe me brothers and sisters - there are a lot of happenings/ events/ catastrophes which shall occur: earthquakes, floods, lots of people shall lose their lives, atrocious crimes, wars/ fights (nations against nations), blood of innocents shall be shed... 

I ask you to take this into consideration and start counting - from the 1st Muharram of this New Year 1439 AH till its end. Write down all that which shall happen throughout the world and even small islands and even all that which is found in the Indian Ocean (and its vicinity) shall not be spared from divine punishment, in the form of earthquakes, floods, great wars which shall be very difficult to stop.

Believe in what I am saying. O Muslims and Humanity at large. Take precautions and stock your food- buy, keep, preserve….”

Speaking against the backdrop of the deluge in Mauritius earlier this year, Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) further repeated the Divine reminder: 

“O all of you, you are not safe. No country in the world will be spared, even you who live on the islands. No divinity of your imagination can help you. I see with the eye of my Lord (Allah) many terrifying things that will seize this world....O humanity, the decrees of God will be inevitably executed, and you will see the coming days as the days of Noah...” (Friday Sermon of 26 January 2018---08 Jamad'ul Awwal 1439 AH).

The Kerala Floods

Nature's fury in the form of torrential rains has engulfed most parts of Kerala this week. The land and its people are in profound pain, perplexed by the sudden hardships enveloping them. The magnitude of the disruption of everyday life in the otherwise scenic Indian State is mind-numbing. As one scribbles down this note, the “God’s own country” (as Kerala is known), is battling one of the worst floods in all of its modern history. 

With the India Meteorological Department predicting heavy rains for the next two days as well, the ground situation is being viewed as extremely grave. With heavy rainfalls in the catchment areas of major reservoirs across the State and the opening of all shutters of all major dams including Mullaperiyar, Cheruthoni, part of Idukki reservoir, and Idamalayar, lives of people in downstream areas have been severely affected, for areas and villages where floods had never occurred are witnessing inundation. 

Heavy water-logging has disrupted the road, rail traffic across the State, and even flight operations at the Kochi airport will remain suspended for the next 10 days. With telecommunication lines down, and electricity transmission cut off, thousands of flood victims remain marooned in their own residences/places without access to essential help. The death toll in the ongoing rain-and flood-related incidents (including landslips) has already crossed 150, with more than 2,23,000 people shifted to over 1550 relief camps across the State. Rescue operators fear that due to the heavy inflow of water, the death toll would go up.

Shareefa Beevi Saheba (1951-2018)

Shareefa Beevi Esmail Saheba, the respected wife of Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb of the Kerala South Jamaat, passed away on the early morning of Thursday, the 10^th of May, 2018---23 Shabaan 1439 AH. Innal-Lilaahi wa inna ilayhi raajiuun.

Born in October 1951, Shareefa Saheba was 67 years of age at the time of her death. She was not keeping well for some months now, and the end came while she was sleeping peacefully at home. Indeed the angels came home to call her back to Allah (swt), like the Qur’an attests about the Divine decree regarding the course of all human souls: “Allah takes the souls at the time of their death; and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought” (39:43).

At home, daughter Fauzia Jamal Saheba led the other women of the family in giving a proper bath to the dead body as per Islamic rites. The funeral prayer (Salaat al-Janazah) was performed under the leadership of her husband Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb of the Kerala South Jamaat after their son Fazil Jamal and family reached home from Delhi in the late afternoon. Remaining members of the family, members of the South Jamaat, close relatives and even other Muslims outside of the Jamaat also joined the Janaza prayers at the historic Noor'ul Islam Masjid, Mathra and soon thereafter, the dead body was buried at the burial space enclave adjacent to the Masjid complex before sunset. May Allah (swt) illumine her tomb, Aameen.  

Musings from a ‘Da’wah’ Journey

Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius, the Divinely-raised renewer of spirituality in our times (Muhyi-ud-Din/Mujaddid),  and the Holy Founder of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, often goes on Da’wah journeys to distant places in various countries. The purpose of these spiritual voyages is to convey the essence of the Sublime message being vouchsafed to him from the Unseen through pious dreams, true visions and Divine revelations. Like all Divine servants who preceded him throughout Islamic history, Hadhrat Saheb’s mission- the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- strives to urge people to embrace a life in awe of the Exalted Almighty, the unique and singular God through finding the beauty of equity and virtuosity in all spheres of everyday life; performing good deeds in service of fellow beings, regardless of their station and status in society. 

Inspired by this personal example of their beloved Imam (atba), Hadhrat Saheb’s disciples in India also go on Da’wah journeys, whenever opportunities present themselves. In a recent such episode, Mukarram Amir R. Jamaluddin Saheb of the South Kerala Jamaat, accompanied by brothers Sulfikar Ali Saheb and Sadiq Ali Saheb of Kaliyikkavila, visited the border areas of Kerala-Tamil Nadu and went all the way to Kanya Kumari, the southernmost tip of the Indian peninsula. The present writer had the pleasure and privilege of accompanying this band of Divine servants on trip, Alhamdulillah. From the sights and sounds we encountered and through the conversations and interactions we have had with a number of people during the journey, it is humbling to realize that we became far more self-aware, Soumma Alhamdulillah.  

7th Jalsa Salana in Kerala: A Report

Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- South Kerala organized its Seventh Jalsa Salana at Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra, 22-23 December 2017. Brothers from Alappuzha, Kaliyikkavila and also from Delhi, reached ahead of the commencement of the two-day programme.

The first day of the Jalsa, 22^nd December 2017, all brothers and sisters collectively offered the Tahajjud prayers and it was followed later by the Namaz-e-Fajr. Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb conducted a Dars-e-Qur’an, immediately after the Fajr Namaz.

At 11.00 a.m, the members assembled for the Inaugural Session, with Hazrat Mukarram Fazil Jamal Saheb delivering a speech “on the importance of Jalsa Salana”. The discourse was based on  a sermon delivered originally at the opening session of the Mauritius Jalsa earlier this year, by our beloved Imam Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba), containing useful advices to think through our spiritual duties and practical ways to create a new world of spirituality with the advent of the new Divine Manifestation.

On Spirituality and Social Service

Street Light Foundation, a Kuwait-based NGO of concerned Indians from Kerala, organized a local community function at Mathra with a view to spread goodwill, empathy and understanding among people on the Indian festival season of Diwali, the Festival of Lights. The event was held at the Old-Age Home (being run by the Meera Charitable Trust ), Mathra (Kerala, India) on October 18, 2017. 

The Amir of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Kerala- South Zone (India), Mukarram R. Jamaluddin Saheb, was among the speakers on the occasion. In his speech, the Mukarram Amir Saheb shared the perennial, sublime spiritual message of all Elects of God all through history- Sri Ramchandran ji, Sri Krishna ji, Jesus Christ, Prophet Muhammad (sa)- the essence of which is to lead a good life in service of fellow humans. 

Emphasizing on the common ground of all religious traditions and spiritual messages from the past,  the Amir Saheb urged the audience to gaze at the universality of spiritual consciousness and our common humanity as the foundational bases for building solidarity with the less privileged and to do service to fellow men and women in our (local and global) communities. He emphasized that a life well-lived is one that is dedicated to the service of fellow beings. Indeed,  such service is a noble path to realize the ultimate purpose of life in this fleeting world: Worship of the Divine, Alhamdulillah, Soumma Alhamdulillah. 

Charitable Giving (Sadaqah)

Four members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- Kerala visited the Old-Age Home at Mathra, being maintained by Mrs. Jameela Rajagopalan of the Meera Charitable Trust in service of destitute, old women, on Friday, October 13, 2017. The Jamaat delegation consisted of  Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb, Naib Amir Sadiq Ali Saheb, Secretary-Tabligh Sulfikar Ali Saheb and this humble blogger. The visiting delegation offered a Sadaqah in the name of our senior member Shareefa Beevi Esmail Saheba, who has age-related ailments now;  the Sadaqah was in the  form of providing Breakfast for all the inmates of the Institution, Alhamdulillah, Soumma Alhamdulillah.
