Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- South Kerala
organized its Seventh Jalsa Salana at
Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra, 22-23 December 2017. Brothers from Alappuzha,
Kaliyikkavila and also from Delhi, reached ahead of the commencement of the
two-day programme.
The first day of the
Jalsa, 22nd December 2017, all brothers and sisters collectively
offered the Tahajjud prayers and it
was followed later by the Namaz-e-Fajr.
Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb conducted a Dars-e-Qur’an,
immediately after the Fajr Namaz.
At 11.00 a.m, the
members assembled for the Inaugural Session, with Hazrat Mukarram Fazil Jamal
Saheb delivering a speech “on the importance of Jalsa Salana”. The discourse
was based on a sermon delivered
originally at the opening session of the Mauritius Jalsa earlier this year, by
our beloved Imam Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba), containing useful advices to
think through our spiritual duties and practical ways to create a new world of
spirituality with the advent of the new Divine Manifestation.
After the inaugural session,
members assembled for the Jumu’ah. Mukarram
Amir Jamaluddin Saheb took up for the Jumu’ah discourse a special sermon of Huzur
(atba) from the past that fervently appealed for unity and collective action within
the framework of the Jamaat. At 4.00 pm, when the members reassembled after
lunch and rest, Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Sahib gave a lecture based on a
special message sent by Hadhrat Saheb (atba) on the occasion of the spiritual
get- together at the same venue in May 2015.
An Ahmadi brother, Muhammad Ismail Ibrahim saheb (brother-in-law of
Sulfikar Ali Saheb), also attended this session.
After the Maghrib Namaz, the Amir Saheb offered
another discourse on the theme of “the Qur’an as a Perfect Book”. The speech
was inspired by the recent series of Friday sermons given by Hadhrat Saheb
(atba) on the issue.
Naib Ameer Sadqi Ali Saheb and senior member K.Saleem Saheb were looking after the Langar-Khana during the two days of the Jalsa. They ensured that all members had food and water to drink, Alhamdulillah.
On 23rd
December, Day-2 of the Jalsa, members performed the Tahajjud prayers. Later, Namaz-e-Fajr
was offered at 5.15 am. This was followed by the Tilawat-ul-Qur’an session with Sulfikar Ali Sahib reciting (in
translation) Surah Taha. After breakfast, the brothers gathered again
at 11.00 a.m. Hazrat Mukarram Fazil Jamal Saheb explained to the gathering the
discourse of Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) entitled “Reform of the Youth”, originally delivered at the final session of
Mauritius Jalsa earlier this year. At 11.45a.m,
Mukarram Amir Saheb gave a speech on the importance of learning the Holy Qur’an.
He based his observations mainly on the recent Friday sermons of the
Khalifatullah (atba) on the topic. After the Session Namaz-e- Zuhar was followed by collective Lunch and rest.
On the occasion of
the Jalsa Salana, the SIRAJ MAKIN sisters held a separate meeting of
their own, on the afternoon of 23rd December: 2.30 pm- 3.30 pm. In the meeting, the Sadr Saheba
of the Siraj Makin, Kerala spoke on the importance of being spiritually aware
and the need for collective efforts in pursuit of common objectives of the
Jamaat. To develop a basic understanding of religion and its precepts, the Sadr
Saheba exhorted the women and girls of the Jamaat to carefully study the
Syllabus of the Study Circle prepared by the respected International Sadr
Saheba, Ummul Mu’mineen Fazli Amena Varsally Saheba after much deliberation and
consultation with our beloved Imam Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba). When the
meeting ended, all members left it with a hunch that each one would need to
devote more time and attention to own learning and also for the training of
children within the families. Alhamdulillah, each member hopes to make
good progress by the time they return to the meeting in the near future, Insha Allah, Aameen.
At 6.30 pm, the Final
Session of the Jalsa Salana started. Recitation of the Holy Qur’an and
Translation was done by brother D.A. Zainul Abdin Saheb.
This was followed by a
speech by K. Salim Sahib on the subject of a sacred tradition of the Holy
Prophet (sa). The Hadith pertains to the importance of offering Salat on the Holy Prophet (sa).
This was
followed by a discourse by Hazrat Mukarram Fazil Jamal Saheb summarizing the Friday
Sermon of December 22, 2017 delivered by Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) on the
importance of abstaining from sinful merry-making/ “end-of-the year
festivities” in our times.
The three children
of the Jamaat who were present on the occasion – Zachariah Ibn Zain, Zaki
Mubarak Aziz Raother and Munir Ahmad Azim- were given the opportunity to recite
the Holy Qur’an- Surah Al Fatihah and
the shorter Surahs, and also the Azaan.
The brothers in the gathering
encouraged the children and the Mukarram Amir Saheb offered them a cash prize
as a token of appreciation of their noble endeavours to comprehend the basics
of the Faith, Masha Allah.
Library prints of three books of Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) were also unveiled on the occasion. The first book is a compilation of four sermons (in Malayalam translation) of Hadhrat Saheb (atba) on “Revealed Duahs”. The second book is a compilation of the sermons (in Malayalam translation) on the topic “The Qur’an- a Perfect Book”. The third Book is the print of the recent Book “Dhu’l Qarnayn”. Our brothers, DA Zainul Abdeen saheb, K. Saleem Saheb and Sadiq Ali Saheb respectively received the books for the Library, from the Amir Saheb on the occasion.
The special Message
of the Khalifatullah (atba) for the Jalsa Salana was read out, along with its
simultaneous translation in Malayalam, by Hazrat Mukarram Fazil Jamal Saheb.
Mukarram Amir Saheb offered the closing remarks
by stressing on the need for upholding ‘faith and its requirements’ over all
