'Eid Ul Adha' at Mathra Masjid

Alhamdulillah, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Kerala celebrated the Eid Ul Adha festival at the Noor’ul Islam Masjid – Mathra with a spiritual retreat of its members on 05-08 June 2025. Summa Alhamdulillah, most members of the Jamaat made it convenient to reach the Masjid venue ahead of time, and participated wholeheartedly in the pure celebration of spiritual blessings over the four days of the Eid.

In this era, a spiritual gathering of disciples and followers of a Divinely-raised reformer assumes importance. In an era in which truth and falsehood has become mixed and blurred; the lawful has become unlawful, and the unlawful has become lawful; and the religion of prophets has become a plaything at the hands of power-hungry politicians; restoration of spirituality is impossible without Divine manifestation: the advent of a heavenly- raised messenger is a great blessing on troubled humanity. Indeed, only a Divinely-imbued soul can reclaim the spirit of Faith among the believers through the practice of virtue and the preaching of holy wisdom in these complicated times, Insha-Allah, Aameen.

Just like God Almighty raised spiritually-inspired souls as prophets and messengers and reformers and spiritual leaders in other turbulent eras for the guidance of the people, it should not be and it is not a matter of wonder when God Almighty turns in mercy to mankind and invokes His perennial practice – Sunnat Allah- of raising an Elect among them for their own sake. Indeed, we believe that Allah (swt) has sent His special Elect as the Muhyiuddin and Khalifatullah of this era in the person of  Hazrat Imam Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius for the spiritual guidance of humankind, Subhaan Allah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar!

Hajj & 'Eid Ul Adha'

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

Eid Mubarak!

When we speak of Hajj, we commemorate the immense sacrifice of two prophets in human history who attained the highest level of love for Allah. These prophets are Ibrahim (as) and Isma’il (as).

The sacrifice of our forefather Hazrat Ibrahim (as) and his only son at the time – Hazrat Isma’il (as) – [before the birth of Ishaq (as)] is a central event in Islamic history. It is remembered every year during Eid-ul-Adha. Allah tested Ibrahim’s faith and devotion by commanding him in a dream to sacrifice his son Isma’il (as). This event is mentioned in the Holy Quran:

“Then when (the child) reached the age to walk with him, (Ibrahim) said, ‘O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. See then what you think.’ He replied, ‘O my dear father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, among the steadfast.’” (As-Saffat, 37: 103)

'Ilhaam' : 14 Shawwal 1446 AH

For anyone who is a devout Muslim, willing and able to exercise his spiritual intellect and common sense; the Signs of the times cannot be mistaken.  There is little doubt that the Ummat-e-Muhammdiyya is passing through a time of all-round turbulence and turmoil; there is a dire need today, perhaps more than at any other point in Islamic history,  for social reforms and spiritual renewal through a Divinely-imbued and inspired soul; a time when Islam has been reduced to the bare text of the Qur’an and the books of traditions; even as they followed the symbols and rites of religion, the Muslims have forgotten the substance and spirit of faith: without clear guidance and pure example through a living exemplar. Instead of holding on to the rope of Allah in quest of Divine help and succour, the search for respite has taken the Ummah to the doors of false gods and evil minds that only misguide and deviate them.

Against this dismal backdrop of overall spiritual darkness in the world of Islam today, true and devout Muslims ought to embrace the Divine manifestation of our times:  for those who are not yet aware of, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius is a living Saint in this 15th century of Islam. Over the last two decades, Allah the Almighty has bestowed upon him several titles of exceptional rank and spiritual distinction, such as ‘Muhyiuddin’, ‘Mujaddid’, ‘Khalifatullah’, Imam Mahdi, ‘Musleh Maoud’, ‘Dhul Qarnayn’, etc. This humble servant of the Islamic Faith, the chosen elect of God in this era, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) brings the light of pure guidance with the help of the Roohul Qudus, renewing the spirit of Tawheed and Tawakkul amidst the trials and struggles of life for the illumination of all lost souls.

On 14 Shawwal 1446 AH~ 14 April 2025, Hazrat Saheb (aba) conveyed to his disciples and followers about a special, mystical experience of sublime spiritual quality that he experienced: indeed this living saint, like so many of the great pious souls who passed away in the Islamic tradition over the centuries, experiences Divine communion and conversations with Allah (swt). The riches of 'Sabr'

Alhamdulillah, on the blessed occasion of the 8th Jalsa Salana of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- Tamil Nadu (India), International Sadr of the Siraj Makin [- the women’s wing of the Jamaat] Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen Fazli Amena Varsally Saheba of Mauritius addressed the spiritual gathering at the historic Sirajum Munir Masjid through a special message on 29 December 2024. For the benefit of our readers, we reproduce below the Text of the Speech:

‘My dear Spiritual Children,

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakaatuhu.

You all need to bear in mind the riches of Sabr (Patience). Life on earth is a temporary abode which only the Sabereen (those endowed with patience) know how to tread upon and live it.

Allah says in the Holy Quran: 'And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.' (Surah Hud,  11, Verse 116)

A true believer makes countless efforts to remain on the right path. The right path is not an easy path. It is filled with all kinds of turns and obstacles and trials, but it is only those who persevere and remain true and sincere to Allah and strive through steadfastness and trust in Allah to continue on their way shall be victorious.

Faith, Peace, Happiness

As the world is engulfed in multiple crises leading to all round restlessness, humanity is in grave danger. Preoccupied with lopsided pursuits, man is on the verge of losing himself to sheer madness. Conflicts and chaos stare him at all levels of human relationships: neither in the global order nor in his national life, there is harmony and tranquillity. Be in inter- community relations, or in the intimate space of family, there is no peace, nor any happiness. Hence, the question of inner and outer peace suggests itself as an urgent concern for humanity at large in our times.

In the last week of December 2024, the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- India held its annual conferences in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Al Mahdi Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius addressed the gatherings of his disciples and followers in India on 29 December 2024. In this special discourse, Hazrat Saheb (aba) addresses himself on how Islamic values promote tranquility and happiness in all realms of human relationships.

Jalsa Message 2024

Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- India organized its annual spiritual conferences recently in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, providing a special opportunity for members to come together and partake of the rich spiritual foods on offer- thanks to the living presence of a Divinely-raised soul among us in the person of our beloved Imam Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of MauritiusAlhamdulillah. Indeed, the Jalsa Salana discourses remind us about the larger purpose of life in this world. To learn about the ways of achieving nearness to Allah the Almighty; to  purify the self of its 'longings'; spiritual seekers have a long way to go. Elects of God are the exemplars of the spiritual path, capable of leading souls on the enlightened way of the Prophets and the saints. By striving to follow various Divine commandments that enjoin goodness, the seeker struggles against the temptations of evil in all its diverse settings in contemporary world, focussing exclusively on soulful worship of the Divine while serving humanity. When a community of such devote Muslims assemble together for spiritual benefit and solidarity, they resemble the Jalsa of the Sahihis, Summa Alhamdulillah.

In Kerala, Amir- Jamaat Kerala south, Mukarram R Jamaluddin Saheb of Mathra; DA Zainul Abdeen Saheb, K Saleem Saheb of Alappuzha, Sulfikar Ali Saheb, Sadiq Ali Saheb, Nasruddin Saheb, Muhammad Sabir Saheb of Palakkad, Abid Saheb, Abu Zaahidah, Zachariah Ibn Zain, Munir Ahmad Azim, etc. were among those who participated in the Jalsa programs, on 25-27 December 2024. A number of brothers and families who could not make it to the venue of the Jalsa at Noor’ul Islam Masjid- Mathra joined the proceedings through online platforms, Alhamdulillah.

A Message to Disciples

These are the verses of the wise Scripture, [with] guidance and mercy for those who do good, who keep up the prayer, pay the prescribed alms, and are certain of the Hereafter: these are rightly guided by their Lord, and it is they who will prosper.’ (31:3-7)

‘Those who pray humbly, who shun idle talk, who pay the prescribed alms, who guard their chastity except with their spouses…who are faithful to their trusts and pledges and who keep up their prayers, will rightly be given Paradise as their own, there to remain.’   23: (2-12)

When you follow the Mujaddid [Reformer of the Faith] of your times, accept the revelations and guidance he brings in from the Divine waters, and act upon the same with a sincere heart, you become a true Muslim: you can attain righteousness and become virtuous in life. Indeed, Allah (swt) is with the virtuous; a Divine Elect [Khalifatullah Al Mahdi ] guides us on the straight path or on ways that lead to good and to Divine Succour. When we follow the Muhyiuddin among us with sincerity, and we strive with our very souls against Shaytan; against our own lower selves; we will be guided to Almighty Allah (swt).

In recent messages to all disciples in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, including women members of the Jamaat around the world, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Al Mahdi Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius underscores the significance of reforming moral and spiritual standards within so as to collectively rise as a community standing up for the values of true Faith with a pious disposition. Hazrat Saheb's sincere advices when followed by persons with a pure heart can lead to incremental benefits, and overall advancement, whatever be the life situations, both individually and as a community, Insha Allah

A ‘Mujaddid’ in Islam Today

‘You are the best people raised for the good of mankind; you enjoin what is good and forbid evil and believe in Allah. And if the People of the Book had believed, it would have surely been better for them. Some of them are believers, but most of them are disobedient.’ (Holy Quran, 3:111)

Allah mentions in His divine scriptures that this Muslim community is the best community among all. However, whether the contemporary Muslim community is deserving of this distinction is, unfortunately, a bitter truth to the contrary.

This noble community, which is meant to guide other societies, is now under the influence of Mullahs who propagate misleading interpretations. Consequently, Islam, which is fundamentally a path of peace, is portrayed as a ruthless and violent ideology.

‘Being Fair in Family Relations’

‘Truly many intimate partners/close associates transgress against one another, save those who believe and perform righteous deeds. And yet, how few are they!(Holy Qur’an, 38:25)

'The just will be on platforms of light in the presence of God; those who are just in their decisions, with their families, and with what they are in charge of.' --Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa).

The structure of a Muslim family, in general, at the minimum, involves the husband and wife, their children and their parents. Within this basic social unit, the dynamics of family/household relations can test the best of men and women, especially when mother-in law and the daughter-in law in the family do not get along well. With different temperaments and inclinations, preferences and prejudices; conditions and circumstances emerge on aspects of everyday life whereby differences of opinion lead to conflictual positions.  If not handled with care with wisdom respecting the emotions of all involved in a fair way in quick time [before the hardening of feelings among the persons concerned]; inexorably and inevitably, the issues can lead to simmering tensions, even domestic abuse and violence. And when the discord becomes irreconcilable, the very breaking up of family relations ensue- as it happens these days with so many families in our societies.

An anecdote from early Muslim history suggests that during the time of the second caliph Hazrat Umar (ra), he apparently wrote to his governors saying: ‘Tell relatives to visit one another, and not to live next to one another.’ Commenting on Hazrat ‘Umar’s words, Imam Al-Ghazzali said:  ‘He said that because living next to one another may lead to conflicts and may lead to alienation and severing of ties.’ [Ihya’ ‘Uloom al-Deen (2/216)]. According to another saintly figure in Islam, ‘If you live further away from one another you will have greater love for one another.’

Palestine: 'The Blood of Sacrifice'

THE CRY FOR PEACE

Secluded from the World,

I hear the cry of Innocence,

Being stripped of Life,

Heart-wrenchingly calling for Help;

Enough, Enough, Enough!

No more pain, please!

Like animals to Almighty God’s Altar,

Their blood has become

The Blood of Sacrifice;

Martyrs they have become,

For the Love of Truth & Justice;

'Nabi' and 'Rasul' in Islam

'Rasulan Nabiyan'  (Messenger & Prophet)

The Messenger believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. They believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, and His messengers. (They proclaim) “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and obey. (We seek) Your forgiveness, our Lord! And to You (alone) is the final return.” (Al-Baqara 2: 286)

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, today I have chosen to talk about the messengers of Allah. First of all, when we talk about the Messengers of Allah, it is very important that we are aware that the Islamic conception regarding the role and function of the prophets is different from the conception of the Jews and Christians. In Islam, the word “Nabi” (prophet) or even “Rasul” (Messenger) is not reserved for only the Elects of Allah who have received divine revelations as divine laws to share with their peoples. When we talk about prophets before the coming of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), we are talking about prophets whose message was limited to their own people, while Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) and all those who come and will come as his followers-prophets, will be prophets who cannot bring any new law, where they must base themselves only on the Holy Quran and the information of the Ghayb (Invisible) that Allah shows them.

And so, this brings us to the question, can a prophet come after Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh)?

‘Tarbiyyat’ Lessons- 6

A God-centric approach can enable and empower us to deal with shifting fortunes in personal and social life. As humans, our hearts experience a range of emotions in the varied settings of life. Hence, we encounter both moments of ecstasy and agony; of fortune and misfortune; of happiness and sadness; of hope and despair. Islam prescribes temperamental moderation and a well-balanced approach to issues that affect the individual at the deepest level; teachings that are essential for personal mental health and emotional stability, and for collective well-being of the community at large. It envisages that in times of ease and comfort, we should remain grateful to God for all the blessings of life, and remain within the bounds of Shari’ah, and not commit excesses while taking our fill of pleasure. Likewise, we should turn to our Creator and invoke His sublime attributes in our low moments: times when we experience misfortune and sorrow; feel a huge void at the loss of a dear one, or feel sad and depressed after a sincere relationship falls apart. Indeed, at such emotionally-vulnerable points, to find the inner strength to cope with the vagaries in our fortunes; we could and should rely entirely on God’s mercy and hope for His grace through spiritual invocations and Duahs.

In a recent series of messages with his spiritual disciples and followers, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius provides fascinating insights on human emotions and related Islamic teachings on Divine remembrance to empower people struggling with emotional burdens in vulnerable situations.

The Sheikh on Life Lessons- 4

June 2024: Allah's Message

Islam teaches us to recognize our true Lord, and strongly urges us to worship only the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe: Exclusively, turn to God Almighty. To the exclusion of all other visible and ‘manufactured’ deities/ ‘idols’ that many take as lords besides the Lord, we should hold the Most Gracious in awe, though He is Invisible and Unseen. Allah (swt) created humans, and ‘He is closer to man than his jugular vein’: He knows what our souls whisper to us; He knows what our thoughts and intentions are, according to the evocative words of the Holy Qur’an.

Everyone who turns often to God and keep Him in mind, and who comes before Him with a heart turned to Him in devotion; such devoted servants shall find that the Ever-Living, All Knowing and All Hearing, Allah (swt) responds to their sublime invocations and fervent prayers, Insha-Allah, Aameen. Like Allah (swt) tells the Holy Prophet (sa) in the Holy Qur’an: And when My servants ask you concerning Me (tell them), I am nearby indeed, I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he prays to Me, so they should respond to My call, and believe in Me (that I possess all these attributes) so that they may proceed in the right way’. [2:187]

The Sheikh on Life Lessons- 3

Those who learn the history of Islam will be astonished by facts that speak for themselves- the great role women believers [Sahabiyat] performed around the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) and the early Muslim community in Makkah and Madinah. Look at certain facts: the first person to embrace Islam was a woman – Hazrat Khadijah (ra); the first person to die for Islam was a woman- Hazrat Sumayya (ra). The greatest scholar of lslam was a woman – Hazrat Aisha (ra). The person who loved the Holy Prophet (sa) the most was a woman– Hazrat Fatimah al Zahra (ra). The person who made the biggest sacrifice for lslam in one day was a woman – Hazrat Khansaa (ra). One of the greatest fighters in Islamic history was a woman – Hazrat Khawla Bint Alazwar (ra); Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

The 'Sheikh' on Life Lessons

In times of chaos and confusion in some place in the Universe when ethics and morals decline and irreligion advances, Allah (swt) sends someone with the Rooh’il Quddus- to repair and restore the path of Truth corrupted by the hands of men. With the help of divine revelations, the chosen servant of God re-establishes Tawheed back on earth: through setting standards of just conduct and practical wisdom, and by becoming a moral exemplar for the people of the times. As per Sunnat Allah, and the great Promise contained in the sacred books of the Muslims, God Almighty raises a noble soul with the light of guidance; a high representative and true successor to the spiritual throne of the Holy Prophet (sa) is sent in every era; ‘Khalifatullah’ who preaches pure scripture and practical wisdom appears in every century of Islam. Indeed, this is the true concept of 'Divine Khilafat' in the Holy Qur'an [24:56].

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, the holy founder of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International, Hazrat Imam Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius, is the Divinely-raised Mujaddid of the 15th century of Islam, and this great spiritual mentor of our times speaks with the help of Rooh’il Quddus. While speaking to his disciples and followers, the Sheikh-ul-Islam (aba) famously stated once: ‘I give not lectures but mixtures for your mental health and moral invigoration. So take my words as medicines necessary for your health...

Man of God, or a ‘Madman’?

Over the last two decades, the holy founder of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Imam Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Al Mahdi Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius has acknowledged the Divinely-inspired nature of his spiritual mission- to revive spiritually ‘dead’ hearts with inner virtues, and thereby renew the true spirit of Islam among the believers in this era. In support of his lofty mission in service of the Faith, Hazrat Azim (aba) cites the Holy Qur’an, the prophetic traditions, the experience of the great saints who preached pure teachings of Islam in the centuries gone by, and the fact that he himself is a direct recipient of divine revelations from the Almighty through Holy Spirit [Rooh’il Qudus].

Hence, like a Mughal Sultan with an imperial standard/ Royal Titles who presided over a large nation, the spiritual king of this era could also be easily recognized provided you have the spiritual lens to appreciate Divine Signs. By the grace of Allah (swt), to make it easy for people to recognize the mission of this humble servant of God, several special designation titles have been divinely-bestowed upon him in this era: ‘Hazrat’, Amir-ul-Mu’mineen, Muhyiuddin, Mujaddid, Khalifatullah, Muslih Maoud, Massih Maoud, and 'Dhulqarnain', i.e., 'the one who arrives at the cusp of two epochs'. Is it a mere coincidence that Hazrat Saheb (aba) began his spiritual mission around 2001?
