A Celebration of Spiritual Revival in this
Era
A Celebration of Spiritual Revival in this
Era
The Messiah’s Promised Son
When we study the Holy Quran, we find that
Allah has honoured the Ummah of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) with an exceptional
distinction: Allah Himself established Islam as His perfect religion and named
it Islam. Within Islam, unlike the nations of the past where Allah’s messengers
and prophets were sent only to their respective peoples, we see that for Hazrat
Muhammad (pbuh) and all his spiritual progeny, this favour continues until the
Day of Judgement. Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) and his spiritual descendants, the
prophets of Allah from his Ummah, were sent not only for the people among whom
he was born but for all of humanity.
On the 'Mahdi'
Bear in mind that “Mahdi” is derived from the
word, “Haadi”, which means “to guide” and “Massih” means “the
Anointed One”. Now, the term “anointed” refers to the ritual act of pouring or
rubbing oil on a person as a sign of sanctification. In a broader sense, it
signifies being chosen or set apart for a special purpose or role. We use “anointed”
not just for prophets but for kings as well when they are chosen to rule over
their kingdom.
When we study the information on Mahdi, we notice that he is not directly and clearly mentioned in the Holy Quran as well as the two most authentic Books of Hadiths in Islam, i.e. Sahih Al-Bukhari and Muslim. There are many narrations on Mahdi, the larger part of them being qualified as weak (Da’if) or not so authentic by the Muslim Ummah. But then, if Mahdi is not plainly mentioned in Quran and both Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim have avoided mentioning him in their respective Sahihs, how then to be sure that one Hadith which the Muslim Ummah regards as weak (Da’if) can actually be powerfully true and be fulfilled in this era?
The Messengers of Allah are spiritual treasures sent by Allah to humanity to bring a divine freshness into the world. Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, Allah has chosen me, His humble servant who stands before you today, as one of His Messengers in this century, not to abolish the Islamic law, but to reinforce this greatest law and ensure that people of my time and those who come after hold firmly to it.
It has been 21 years since Allah raised me as the Revivifier (Reviver) of this century (Muhyiuddin). Allah has so imbued me with His light and made me understand that in respect of the enormous work in this century, on a global level, He has granted me a degree of superiority in the work that Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as), the Promised Messiah of the past century (Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad), had to do. This became clear to me in September 2010, when He then also granted me the title, honour, and task of the “Massih Ma’ud [Promised Messiah] of this century.”
I must clarify that my coming does not diminish the value and honour of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). On the contrary, I emanate from him and am his spiritual son. But it is in the aspect of the work that Allah has given me, where Allah has placed immense responsibilities on my shoulders in this century, where by His grace, I am succeeding worldwide. As the Musleh Ma’ud, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra) said, if even one person follows him and becomes Deewana (Wholesomely Dedicated) in the path of Allah, it would be enough to bring about a revolution in the world, where the divine message spreads to all corners of the world.
‘Those who believed and kept to righteousness, for them are the glad
tidings in the present life and also in the Hereafter.’ (10: 63-64)
‘As for those who say, ‘Our Lord is Allah’, and then remain steadfast,
the angels descend on them saying: ‘Fear you not, nor grieve; and rejoice in
the Garden that you were promised. We are your friends in this life and in the
Hereafter. Therein you will have all what your souls will desire, and therein
you will have all that you will ask for. An entertainment from the Most
Forgiving, the Ever Merciful’ (41: 31- 33).
Imam-
Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir
Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius is a servant of the Faith of Islam in this era. Specially
chosen and elected by the God Almighty with His nearness and communion; just
like the Israelite prophets and divine messengers mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and also as the Book of God promises true believers in every era,
Hazrat Azim (aba) is bestowed with sublime communications from the Unseen known
in Islamic terminology as Divine revelations. Although not trained in any secular,
modern University or other religious/ theological institutions, Hazrat Azim (aba)
is blessed with a deep understanding of the language of heavenly birds. A treasure trove of spiritual perception and practical knowledge emanates from the communications he shares with the world. Indeed, the angels descend on him with an abundant of Divine messages containing purified wisdom for
the betterment of human beings in this era, Subhaan
Allah, Alhamdulillah, Allah-u-Akbar!
The highest purpose of religion is to lead the devotee to the state of Divine communion and the pure pleasure of Divine converse. Prophets and elects of God attain this stage of spiritual development. In a recent message, Imam Azim (aba) gave a profound insight into his intimate spiritual world where Allah (swt) speaks with His chosen servant- teaching him religious understanding and practical wisdom, and through him guiding souls choosing to follow this sublime path of pure Divine communion and converse. Citing the example of Hazrat Bilal (ra), the great companion of the Holy Prophet (sa); Hazrat Saheb (aba) points to the path of sincere Faith and pure commitment and devotion against all challenges in this mundane world, and the resulting opening up of the path of Jannat of Divine nearness in this very world for the true believer, Insha Allah.
To
protect people of the Faith from doctrinal confusion and Satanic deviations
and to preserve and guide them in the subtle and abstruse path of pure
spirituality, Islam offers the prospects of perpetual Divine guidance through
the advent of Divinely- imbued souls as servants of Faith in every era of
Islam. In spiritual terminology, the Divinely-raised Reviver of the
Faith is a true son, spiritual heir and successor to the Holy Prophet
(sa), and he renews the true teachings of the Faith as it were in the days of
the Prophet (sa) in a new century of Islam. Indeed, an appointed one of God
when he is commissioned by the Lord Almighty with a spiritual mission of
renewal and reform of the Ummah is known as a ‘Muhyiuddin’,
‘Mujaddid’, ‘Khalifatullah’, ‘Waliullah’, ‘Ma’mur-min-Allah’, ‘Ummati- Nabi’,
‘Imam Mahdi’, etc.
The Messengers of Allah
Alhamdulillah Summa Alhamdulillah, I resume
my sermon on the subject I discussed last week regarding the creation of Adam
(as).
So, we see that just as the angels submitted to the will of Allah when He created Adam (as), and accepted His will as His law without finding within themselves the idea to revolt against Allah’s will, and where they [i.e. not just the messengers but the angels as well] said: ‘We have heard and obey,’ similarly, all souls, even before the creation of Adam (as), whom Allah had decreed to send to earth, all of them – including us – submitted to Allah’s will when Allah decreed our coming into this world, and where He placed us among the descendants of our ancestor Adam (as) who contained within him the divine essence. Therefore, the human race also bore witness that we would be obedient to Allah and submit to His will. We must be very aware that all prophets and messengers are also included, because we too (the Messengers) must believe in the Messengers who came before us. We have the duty to confirm the coming of the prophets and messengers before us, and we also announce the coming of the prophets after us, until the final limit of the end of the world where it is in Allah’s decision to destroy the earth and create other creations, because nothing is impossible in His power.
'The Messenger believes in what has been revealed to him from his Lord, and so do the believers. They believe in Allah, His angels, His Books, and His messengers. (They proclaim) “We make no distinction between any of His messengers.” And they say, “We hear and obey. (We seek) Your forgiveness, our Lord! And to You (alone) is the final return.” (Al-Baqara 2: 286)
Alhamdulillah, Summa
Alhamdulillah, Allah has done a
great favour to mankind, and in the past to every nation of the world, whereby
sometimes He sends one, two or sometimes even four prophets at the same time
with the same message, i.e., to preach: “Laa Ilaaha Illallah” (There is
no one to worship but Allah).
Even today, Allah continues to pour down His favours and has chosen you, in this century to witness the advent of one of His Elects and Messengers, this humble servant to show and guide you to Allah, and to manifest such positives changes in you to enable you to see the divine light.
Alhamdulillah, Summa
Alhamdulillah, today I have
chosen to talk about the messengers of Allah. First of all, when we talk about
the Messengers of Allah, it is very important that we are aware that the
Islamic conception regarding the role and function of the prophets is different
from the conception of the Jews and Christians. In Islam, the word “Nabi”
(prophet) or even “Rasul” (Messenger) is not reserved for only the
Elects of Allah who have received divine revelations as divine laws to share
with their peoples. When we talk about prophets before the coming of Hazrat
Muhammad (pbuh), we are talking about prophets whose message was limited to
their own people, while Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) and all those who come and will
come as his followers-prophets, will be prophets who cannot bring any new law,
where they must base themselves only on the Holy Quran and the information of
the Ghayb (Invisible) that Allah shows them.
And so, this brings us to the question, can a prophet come after Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh)?
Proof of the Existence of God Almighty
Is there conclusive evidence that God exists? Is the existence of God a fact that can be proven like any other scientific fact that can be proven in a laboratory?
It is surprising that atheists and believers today share the same belief regarding one of the attributes of God that provides conclusive proof of His existence. In today’s world, it is a fact that everyone agrees upon, both atheists and followers of the various religions of the world, that God has stopped talking.
‘Allah has Seventy Thousand Veils of Light and Darkness; if He were to remove them, the radiant splendours of His Face would burn up whoever (or ‘whatever creature’) was reached by His Gaze.’- Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), the tradition is cited from Imam Al Ghazzali's Mishkat Al Anwar, p. 157].
‘My Lord, grant me complete severance of
my relations with everything else and total submission to You. Enlighten the
eyes of our hearts with the light of their looking at You to the extent that
they penetrate the Veils of Light and reach the Source of Grandeur, and let
our souls get suspended by the glory of Your sanctity.’
[Duah of Hazrat Ali (ra)]
'Inna lillahi la-sabina alfa hijabin min nurin wa zulmatin'
Everyone who turns often to God and keep Him in mind, and who comes before Him with a heart turned to Him in devotion; such devoted servants shall find that the Ever-Living, All Knowing and All Hearing, Allah (swt) responds to their sublime invocations and fervent prayers, Insha-Allah, Aameen. Like Allah (swt) tells the Holy Prophet (sa) in the Holy Qur’an: ‘And when My servants ask you concerning Me (tell them), I am nearby indeed, I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he prays to Me, so they should respond to My call, and believe in Me (that I possess all these attributes) so that they may proceed in the right way’. [2:187]
In a message
to disciples and followers in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in India, on the occasion of a special
Tarbiyyat meeting organized by the Delhi Jamaat in association with the Tamil
Nadu and Kerala Jamaats on Sunday, 19 May 2024; Hazrat Imam Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah
Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius reflects profoundly on his spiritual mission
of the last two decades and more, emphasizing the need for all believers to rise up to their individual duties and collective responsibilities, and to meet the inevitable and unavoidable trials of Faith and related challenges in everyday life- with Taqwah, refined appreciation of Islamic teachings on what is right and wrong, absolute trust and reliance on Allah (swt) while striving hard to implement and establish Tawheed in their own settings so as to attract Divine mercy and pleasure, both in this world and in the world to come, Insha Allah, Aameen.
Read the special message Below:
Bismillahir Rahmanir
Rahim
My dear disciples,
Assalamu
Alaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.
The times of a
Messenger of Allah is a unique one, and you are most fortunate that you are
witnessing such times. These times are not just a time of divine blessings but
also of great trials. As we are all witnessing, the world has been seized by a
deep convulsion, where disasters of all kinds, divinely-sent ones as well as
man-made ones are destroying the world cubit by cubit. The lives of the Muslim
believers are endangered.
I advise my sincere disciples to always remain on the right path, to be ever courageous in times of difficulties, to be strong to fight all injustices on earth through valid arguments from the Holy Quran and Sunnah of our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh).
Today, 19 April 2024, marks the 21st anniversary of the first Bai’at [the covenant of repentance with God] initiated and accepted by Hazrat Amir-ul-Mu’mineen Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Al Mahdi Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius on 19 April 2003. On that day in 2003, soon after the demise of the fourth caliph of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Mirza Tahir Ahmad Saheb [1928-2003] in London [UK], Hazrat Amir-ul-Mu’mineen (aba) received the Divine instruction to accede to the request of Muslim brothers and sisters in Mauritius to receive Bai’at in the Hand of Allah (represented by the hand of Hazrat Imam (aba)]; marking an important milestone in the sacred history and trajectory of Islamic renewal over the centuries. Accordingly, the first Bai’at was held that evening in the house of Hazrat Ummul Mu'mineen Fazli Amena Saheba on the second storey, at Louvet Avenue, Quatre-Bornes, Mauritius. From that momentous occasion, over the last two decades, the spiritual mission of Hazrat Khalifatullah Al Mahdi (aba) has been, and is, thriving by the grace and blessings of Allah (swt). And for true spiritual seekers- those who have eyes to observe, ears to listen and hearts to understand-, the support and help of God is clearly evident in the progressive trajectory of the Divine Manifestation of our era, Subhaan Allah, Alhamdulillah, Allah-u-Akbar!
It is absolutely certain that Hazrat Imam Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius has appeared as a servant of Faith in our midst with proof from Allah the Almighty. The divine revelations vouchsafed to Hazrat Saheb (aba) comprises matters of the unseen and prophecies with regard to the future, acceptance of prayer, revelation in various languages, and revelation of points of wisdom and divine truths- exactly like in the times of the promised messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian [1835-1908]. Since all this is divine testimony, it is the duty of everyone who possesses faith to accept his claim as the servant of God in this era, the Divinely-raised ‘Muhyiuddin’/ ‘Mujaddid’/ ‘Khalifatullah’/’ Dhul Qarnain’/ ‘Imam Mahdi’- all being spiritual titles bestowed by the Lord Himself upon His servant of this era.
Bai'at: In Covenant with God
‘Prophet, when believing women come and pledge to you
that they will not ascribe any partner to God, nor steal, nor commit adultery,
nor kill their children, nor lie about who has fathered their children, nor disobey you in any righteous thing, then you should accept their
pledge of allegiance and pray to God to forgive them: God is most forgiving and
merciful.’ (60:13)
‘Those who pledge loyalty to you [Prophet] are actually pledging loyalty to God Himself– God’s hand is placed on theirs––and anyone who breaks his pledge does so to his own detriment: God will give a great reward to the one who fulfils his pledge to Him.’ (48:11)
Based on Divine revelations received on Thursday, 18 January 2024 after Namaz Maghreb at around 7.25 pm, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius states:
‘Allah said to me:
O Messiah of this Era,
Beware of losing Me,
For if you lose Me, you will
have lost everything, and
If you do not lose Me, you will have lost nothing.’
For common Jamaat members like this humble writer, it was a day of gratefulness and thanksgiving to Allah (swt). As Muslims who follow the timeless teachings of the Holy Qur’an, and the deep insights of the Holy Prophet’s sacred practice as the correct and straight path- the religion of Allah; we recognize that the raising of an Elect of God among the people is an enduring Divine practice, a Sunnat Allah, in every era. Allah (swt) granted us a practical role model and exemplar of the spiritual Way, especially in an era and at a time when most people grope in the darkness of ignorance, misbeliefs and superstitions, doubts, and despair. Hence, the raising of a Mujaddid in our troubled times is an example of pure Divine grace and mercy in our perspective. And He granted us an extraordinary blessing by enabling us to recognize His chosen manifestation in our midst, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.
'Everyone on earth perishes; all that
remains is the Face of your Lord, full of majesty, bestowing honour'. (55: 27-28)
'Do not call out to any other god beside God, for there is no god but Him. Everything will perish except His face. His is the judgement and to Him you shall all be brought back.' (28:89)
People love the fleeting life: family and children, wealth and riches, power and authority, fame and grandeur, etc. They forget God and ignore His commandments when they chase transient pleasures here at the cost of enduring blessings in the Hereafter. Hence, elects of God appear with a mission- to call our individual and collective attention to the true purpose and correct values of life; inviting us to choose wisely in our time in this transient world; urging us in the strongest terms to do good and resist evil, and recognize the impermanence of earthly life, so as to benefit us in the world to come.
As the Divine Manifestation of our times in the person of Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius completes 23 years this month, the Divinely-inspired messages shared with the world by the Mujaddid of the 15th Century of Islam renews the enduring Highway to God, providing spiritual guidance and enlightenment to seekers of higher wisdom and true values of life. Reproduced Below is such a Divinely-inspired message received by Hazrat Munir A. Azim (aba) on 14 May 2002 at 8.45 pm (Zikr Time):
This universe is unstable and perishable. It is continually changing. It will not be tomorrow as it is today. There is no stability in this world and in Jamaat-Ahmadiyya worldwide. It is the land of death, and like a house of sand it can be destroyed at any time.
