The Second Coming of Isa (as)

The Messengers of Allah are spiritual treasures sent by Allah to humanity to bring a divine freshness into the world. Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, Allah has chosen me, His humble servant who stands before you today, as one of His Messengers in this century, not to abolish the Islamic law, but to reinforce this greatest law and ensure that people of my time and those who come after hold firmly to it.

It has been 21 years since Allah raised me as the Revivifier (Reviver) of this century (Muhyiuddin). Allah has so imbued me with His light and made me understand that in respect of the enormous work in this century, on a global level, He has granted me a degree of superiority in the work that Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as), the Promised Messiah of the past century (Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad), had to do. This became clear to me in September 2010, when He then also granted me the title, honour, and task of the “Massih Ma’ud [Promised Messiah] of this century.”

I must clarify that my coming does not diminish the value and honour of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). On the contrary, I emanate from him and am his spiritual son. But it is in the aspect of the work that Allah has given me, where Allah has placed immense responsibilities on my shoulders in this century, where by His grace, I am succeeding worldwide. As the Musleh Ma’ud, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra) said, if even one person follows him and becomes Deewana (Wholesomely Dedicated) in the path of Allah, it would be enough to bring about a revolution in the world, where the divine message spreads to all corners of the world.

We must all understand that the only person and prophet whom no one can surpass in any way—whether in rank or deeds—is our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). No one will come after him who should or would be invoked with Darood upon him. Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) is the sole “Haqdaar” of this (that is, who has this right). Allah brought Islam into the world through him. Therefore, I tell you that just as all prophets speak in parables, the second or third or even fourth coming of Hazrat Isa (as) in the world is purely spiritual. Sometimes people, if they do not properly phrase their question to a prophet, do not receive the answer they need to know. Regarding the second coming of Hazrat Isa (as), we must understand well that the same Isa of the Bani Isra'il who lived 2000 years ago is no longer alive with his earthly body, and he will never come in flesh and blood, and not even with his original Ruh (Soul) on this earth.

As Islam teaches us, we Muslims must believe in all the prophets of Allah. This forms the basis of our Iman (faith). The Isa Ibn Maryam that Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied is another Isa Ibn Maryam who would be born from his Ummah (Islam). First and foremost, it was Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) whom Allah raised as the first Isa Ibn Maryam of the Ummah of Islam. In my century, Allah has chosen this humble servant [Munir Ahmad Azim] to once again represent a manifestation of His [i.e. A Manifestation of Allah] in the world. And it is possible that Allah will raise another Isa Ibn Maryam who will come from me and be connected to me.

You must keep in mind that the original Isa Ibn Maryam himself explained that the second coming of a prophet in the world is purely spiritual, and this second coming resembles the original in spirit BUT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL. In the prophecies of the end times, there is mention that before the end of days, Allah will send the Prophet Elijah once again into the world.

In Malachi 4:5, there is a prophecy that God gave to Moses (Musa) on Mount Horeb: “I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and dreadful day of the LORD.”

And when Yeshua (Jesus), the son of Miriam (Mary/ Maryam), came, what did he say to the Jews when they were refusing to accept him as the Promised Messiah? Isa (as) said: “And if you are willing to accept it, he (referring to John [Yahya]) is the Elijah who was to come.” (Matthew 11:14)

And you will find references indicating that he pointed to John the Baptist (Yahya) as the promised prophet—Elijah—who would reappear as Yahya himself in Matthew 11:10-13. John had to come first, and then the Messiah. Therefore, we understand that Yahya had to come in the end times before the coming of the Messiah in fulfillment of this prophecy.

Thus, we find a resemblance to the era of the Jews who refused to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. Today, it is the Muslims who refuse to believe that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) came as the Messiah, because they hold the same belief as the Christians who are awaiting the original Jesus, son of Mary, to descend in flesh and blood in his original form to come in the period close to the end of the world.

Now, Muslims need to reflect on what Allah says in the Holy Quran and judge the Hadith of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) concerning the second coming of Hazrat Isa (as) in accordance with what the Quran says. In the Quran, Allah addresses Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) first and says: “We never granted immortality to any man before you. If you die, would they live forever?” (Al-Anbiya 21:35)

Then Allah says: “Every soul shall taste death. We test you with both good and bad as a trial. And to Us, you will all return.” (Al-Anbiya 21:36)

These verses are clear and unequivocal. Hazrat Isa Ibn Maryam indeed lived on earth and underwent a natural death just as everyone with a body of clay and a soul does. He successfully fulfilled his mission as a prophet and gatherer of the lost tribes of the House of Israel. He lived, preached, married, had children, and died a natural death.

Therefore, the prophecy of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) concerning his second coming is purely spiritual. As Allah indicated in the verse from the Quran I have recited before you, if even the greatest prophet, Rahmatul-lil-Aalameen (a mercy to the worlds), tasted death, then how could a prophet who came before him still be alive in the heavens with his earthly body? Otherwise, Allah would have told the prophet, “Wait, all those who came before you have tasted death, except Isa Ibn Maryam, who is alive in the heavens and will return!”

Therefore, let me make this clear to you. The erroneous beliefs of some Christians should not impact the pure belief of Islam. If Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) lived and died, then all prophets before him lived and died, and all prophets born from him will live, fulfill their mission, and die as well. No one will surpass Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) in superiority and honour!

If we look closely, the prophecies of the earlier prophets all foretold the coming of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). And now that he (pbuh) had come, what did Allah reveal to him in Surah Jumu’ah? That He (Allah) would send him again among the Aakhireen (those who will come after him - people of the last times).

As I was saying, the period of the end times is vast in human perception but very near in the perception of Allah. From the time Jesus came, that is, till Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) and all the Islamic prophets - we find that they all spoke of the end times and that they were living the last days/ era (of the end of the world). There is no doubt about this. The millennia from Jesus until now, we must say that we are immerse in the times of the end of the world. And I tell you, as Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied, the manifestations of the Messiah Isa Ibn Maryam will appear, and when they appear, they will certainly appear within the Ummah of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). And after the coming of the first manifestation of Isa Ibn Maryam, the Islamic Isa Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), it is only natural – like a chain of prophetic confirmations – that other manifestations of prophets will emerge from the community of believers who have believed in Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), a community that is not separate from Islam but has come to reinforce Islam when the Muslims of the last times have misinterpreted the verses of the Quran and the Hadith and followed the Jews and Christians in their approaches, just as Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied.

Just as Islam needed a revival through the coming of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam (as) in the past, similarly, now that the Muhammadan Ummah, including the Community of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) have deviated from the teachings of Islam, Allah has found it the right time to send this humble servant to strengthen the foundation of Islam, to repair the broken path that leads people to Allah, and to restore the true original teachings of Islam.

It has been 24 years since Allah began pouring down His revelations upon me, and gradually, He has raised me as the Promised Messiah of this era. Alhamdulillah. He has honoured me with titles such as Khwaja Nuruddin, Muhyiuddin, Qamaram-Munir, Siraj-um-Munir, Khalifatullah, Massih Ma’ud, Mujjaddid, as well as Mahdi, and Rasool-e-Nabi. People should not think that a Chosen Servant of Allah is thirsty for titles, riches, and earthly powers. Far from it! On the contrary, it is a very heavy responsibility that Allah places on His servant, and this servant, whether it is me, others before me, or those who will come after me, must bear it. With these blessings also come very great tasks.

That is why I say to all who have believed in me, do not think that you have done me a favour by accepting me as the prophet. No! It is not a favour you are doing to me, but a favour you are doing to yourselves! I am merely a bearer of good news and a warner. I can only preach and give you good advice. Those who heed my advice are the ones who will prosper. Remember that in Islam, in a community, in a Jamaat, there are many hypocrites, some with weak beliefs, but also those with firm beliefs. A true believer should not look at what his companion is doing wrong and leave him in his wrongdoings, or say, why does the prophet not say anything about this. Remember that a prophet has given his warning. Those who heed this warning are the ones who will prosper. Those who strive to excel in good deeds (Fastabikul Khairaat) in the path of Allah are the ones who will prosper. Remember that if you do not do the work Allah has given you, He can remove it and give it to another people.

Remember what Allah did when the original members of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen failed in their beliefs and duties. Allah has given this blessing to those who are now in Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, but if they do not recognize the priceless worth of these blessings Allah has granted them, they will lose them. Remember that each soul will bear its own burden. Do not look at others, but consider what you have prepared as baggage to take with you before Allah. Please Allah and be pleased with Him. Do not lose divine favours but work hard for the reconstruction of Islam in the world.

I hope that each of my true and sincere disciples meditates on what I say, and invites others towards Allah above all, towards Islam. Automatically, they will accept the Divine Manifestation of this era because it is through this present Divine Manifestation that Allah is sending His signs and revelations freshly from the heavens. Alhamdulillah.

May Allah keep you all on the “Siratwal Mustaqeen” (the straight path) and forgive your past faults and sins, strengthen your spirit and faith, and work hard for the Cause of Allah with zeal and love. Insha-Allah, Ameen.
