Delhi: A 'Tarbiyyat' Meeting

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, a special Tarbiyyat meeting was organized by the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- Delhi in association with the Tamil Nadu and Kerala Jamaats on Sunday, 19 May 2024.

The Amir of the Tamil Nadu Jamaat, Hazrat Mukarram KM Saleem Saheb and his respected wife Fatima Jasmine Saheba and their blessed children Iynul Misbha and Ata-us-Salam were the chief guests on the occasion. Delhi Jamaat members such as Abu-Zaahidah Saheb, Dr. Haseena Masood Saheba, and Zaki Mubarak Aziz Raother received them at the programme. By the grace of Allah (swt), several members of the Jamaat from different parts of the country could also participate in the blessed spiritual meeting through the Jamaat online web-link system, Subhaan-Allah, Alhamdulillah, Allah-u-Akbar!

The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Janab DA Zainul Abdeen Saheb of Karunagappally, and 'Duah’ was led by a senior companion of the Khalifatullah- Janab K. Saleem Saheb of Alappuzha. Janab Muhammad Sabir Saheb of Palakkad recited a
Nazm on the occasion. Abu- Zaahidah Saheb made welcome remarks for all those present at the meeting, one way or the other.

Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Raother Saheb of the Kerala Jamaat made a lengthy discourse exhorting members to transform themselves into refined spiritual beings whose beneficence should ideally reach and encompass whole humanity. To begin with, we should diligently understand and observe the rules, rites and rituals of Faith as practiced by the Holy Prophet (sa). Moreover, the larger moral vision of Islam as is being explained in our times by our beloved Khalifatullah (aba) should inspire us into greater action in service of fellow beings, especially the indigent, deprived sections of society. Likewise, we should care for the protection of birds and animals, and for the preservation of our human environment. The Amir Saheb encouraged young members of the Jamaat to be conscious of their fine opportunity, and also the duty to do good actions in the service of the Jamaat’s ideals: they should focus on education and training; equip themselves with both secular knowledge and spiritual perception, so as to benefit from divine mercy and grace in both the worlds, Insha Allah, Aameen.

Iynul Misbha and Fatima Jasmine Saheba recited a beautiful Nazm entitled ‘Rakh Pesh Nazar Wo Waqt Behen’, written by Hazrat Syeda Nawab Mubaraka Begum Saheba in the previous era. The poem is also of importance to members of the Jamaat in this era, as the poem, albeit with different words and additional verses, is revealed to our beloved Imam Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) in this era, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

In his special speech on the occasion, Mukarram Amir Saleem Saheb of Tamil Nadu spoke about the significance of ‘Tarbiyyat’ so as to equip our members to realize their true spiritual potential. He underscored that taking Bai’at at the hands of the Khalifatullah (aba) is a vital step, but only the first step in the long journey towards Allah (swt). Every believer ought to learn and absorb the light of spiritual lessons as much as possible through all means possible. Hence, all members should utilize the different resources available on the Jamaat network and study circles: Friday sermons and other discourses of the Khalifatullah (aba); Jamaat books, including different volumes of the Al Azim Tafsir-ul-Qur’an; special magazines published by the Jamaat, etc.

A special message of our beloved Imam Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius for the benefit of all members was also read out on the occasion. In this message to disciples and followers in India, Hazrat Saheb (aba) reflects profoundly on his spiritual mission of the last two decades and more, drawing vital insights for the spiritual welfare of everyone. Hazrat Saheb (aba) exhorts all believers- everyone who has taken Bai’at and joined the Jamaat as a disciple of the Khalifatullah (aba)- to rise up to their individual duties and collective responsibilities; to meet the inevitable and unavoidable trials of Faith and related challenges in everyday life- with Taqwah; keeping firmly in mind Islamic teachings on what is lawful and what is prohibited, and a refined appreciation of what is right and wrong; absolute trust and reliance on Allah (swt) while striving hard to implement and establish Tawheed in their own life-settings. To attract Divine mercy and grace and the pleasure of His nearness in this world and in the world to come, believers remain on the right path: keeping always in consideration the dictates of equity and ethical conduct; they are ever- ready to sacrifice personal wishes and desires for Divine pleasure and recompense, Insha Allah, Aameen.   [To read the full text of the Message, click here].

Dr Haseena Masood Saheba, Sadr- Siraj Makin, Kerala/ Delhi also addressed the gathering; emphasizing the need for sincere striving to gain spiritual progress. Thanks to internet in this era, it has become possible for us all to assemble for divine remembrance at short notice; and may we always utilize technology in a good way for Jamaat’s onward march towards the victory of Islam, Insha Allah, Aameen.

The recently published book on “Qur’anic Commands” and the earlier-published volume entitled ‘Khalifatullah: Reframing Ahmadiyya Doctrines’ were unveiled by Mukarram Amir Saleem Saheb, and Dr Haseena Saheba gifted the books to Iynul Misbha and Ata-us-Salam on the occasion.

The special Tarbiyyat meeting ended with a vote of thanks for everyone by Abu-Zaahidah Saheb, and the final ‘Duah’ led by Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.
