YK Hariz Saheb [1953-2024]

Yusuf Khan Hariz Saheb of Alappuzha

[71 Years], senior member of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- Kerala, passed away on Friday, 26 April 2024.
Inna lillaahi wa inna ilayhi raaji’uun.

Nai’b Amir of the Kerala Jamaat, Hariz Saheb belongs to the first group of believers in India who recognized the spiritual claims associated with the advent of Hazrat Imam Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius as the Mujaddid of the 15th century of Islam, Alhamdulillah

In October 2010 when news reached the shores of India that, from among the ranks of African Ahmadi Muslims, Allah (swt) raised a servant of the Faith as a chosen messenger and reformer of spiritual morals in this era, and subsequently the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam was formally established in the Indian State of Kerala to share the great Divine message in this era among the people of the world; Haris Saheb and his respected wife Mahrooma Razia Beevi Saheba were among the pioneering group of believers who took Bai’at at the hands of Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

As fellow brothers in faith who worked with him in the Divine mission of the Khalifatullah of this era, we gratefully remember and record with deep appreciation Hariz Saheb’s active participation in the programmes of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in Kerala, and especially the guiding, mentor role that he undertook with much enthusiasm in the initial years of the Tamil Nadu Jamaat when it was formed in 2017-18. To many of the incoming brothers into the Tamil Nadu Jamaat at its formation, Hariz Saheb was among the elder members of the Jamaat who were present to share the message of Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah on that historic occasion.

Tests of faith and trials of shifting fortunes accompany true believers in the ebb and flow of life, and yet the believers turn to Allah (swt) at all times- both in times of happiness and in times of adversity, being content with what Allah (swt) has in store for them; even in times of misfortunes, they are resigned to the spiritual path of Divine remembrance, and they only await the rewards in the life to come in the garden of Divine nearness and pleasure in the Hereafter, Insha Allah, Aameen. In the last few years, illness took a toll on the physical health of our dear brother Hariz Saheb. Apart from personal health issues, the demise of his respected wife Razia Saheba in 2020 also impacted his emotional well-being. Moreover, as a father, he also witnessed the untimely departure of his estranged son last year. Confronted with the searing challenges of a mortal illness, and the loss of dear and near ones of the family, Hariz Saheb displayed comely patience and spiritual fortitude, and found solace in the words of Allah (swt) as found in the Holy Qur'an, and the sublime example of His prophet (sa), as well as in the long Duahs of Hazrat Amir-ul-Mu'mineen (aba) with whom he remained very attached and in communication until the final days in this world.

Hariz Saheb courageously upheld his spiritual convictions until the dying moment, remaining as a dear and respected disciple of the Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Al Mahdi of this era, Hazrat Imam Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius. Lesser men succumb to family feelings and social pressure in times of a Divine manifestation in the form of the appearance of a Prophet-Reformer, but not Hariz Saheb: his courage of conviction and spiritual resolve against all odds till the last breath of life on earth will remain a benchmark for all true believers in the times to come as well, Insha Allah.

Hariz Saheb's mortal remains were buried as per Islamic rites at Alappuzha, and members of the Jamaat from Kerala and Tamil Nadu participated in the Janaza Namaz. Senior Jamaat officials Janab K. Saleem Saheb of Alappuzha, DA Zainul Abdeen Saheb of Karunagappally, Mukarram Amir K.M. Saleem Saheb of Tiruchi, Janab Nazeer Saheb of Meleppalayam, Muhammad Basheer Saheb, Abdul Latheef Saheb, Shamsuddin Saheb, Mohiyudeen Saheb of Chennai, Rafi Saheb, and Zachariah Saheb were among those present on the occasion. May Allah (twt) in His infinite Grace accept his good deeds, forgive his bad deeds, and elevate the status of the departed soul in Jannat, Aameen
