Jalsa 2020: Special Address

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim

My dear disciples,

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, it gives me great pleasure to join the Jalsa Salana International along with that of the Kerala Jamaat on this blessed day, 19th December 2020. Despite the overall COVID-19 situation prevailing, we are able to hold our Jalsa Salana in respect of the Islamic guidance as well as the government protocols in our respective countries. Bear in mind that the pandemic will become all the more serious in the coming year. Even though Mauritius is more or less free from the pandemic, in respect of local contaminations, I pray for all my disciples who are found in India and elsewhere in the world where the COVID-19 situation has become very serious. May Allah bless you all, protect you from every harm, and grant you such grace which will suffice for you in this world and the life to come. May Allah bless all my companions who are working day and night to further the cause of Islam around the world and enable them to march towards the victory of Islam through the guidance of Allah and His Khalifatullah of this era. Ameen.

The Jalsa Salana (that is, the Annual Gathering [of the Believers]) which was initially instituted by the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), be it held in flesh and blood or through the online platform is very important as it has the purpose to increase your knowledge of the Deen-i-Islam and to strengthen ties of brotherhood and sisterhood. The prevailing and serious case of the Coronavirus and its evolution and mutation is a menace for mankind, but as true believers in Allah and all the pillars of Islam, i.e. the true faith, you should submit yourselves wholly to the will of Allah and seek His help at every step of the way.

Recently, I have been doing a series of sermons on the revealed prayers since the time of our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) and those revealed to this humble self [the Khalifatullah] in this era of Divine Manifestation. Prayers are vital for the believers, and act as the true shield, and as a sharp weapon against the enemies of faith. When I say enemies of faith, its meaning is vast. The enemies of faith can be your own selfish selves who prioritise the world over Allah. The enemies of the true faith can be the people of other religions who harbour hatred against you because of your faith in Islam. The enemies of faith can be so-called Muslims who despite saying that they belong to Islam, yet they turn its teachings upside down.

So, at each step of the way, you, my disciples – in the Kerala Jamaat and elsewhere in the world, you – should strive to combat the evils which are inherent in you. To every human is a share of good and evil. Now, it is up to us to control the evils within us and to get rid of it. This is the true Jihad that we have to wage and master for true victory lies in conquering the evils within our own weak selves.

Since the advent of Islam up till now, Allah has revealed many invocations for your own good. There are prayers of protection at every step of the way to enable you to become Muslims in the real sense of the word, not just as mere lip-profession. So, you should learn these prayers and make them part and parcel of your lives and recite them as often as possible to be able to derive its benefits.

The face of the world is fast changing, and only Allah can give you the zeal and ability to adapt to the new changes which are overcoming the world and to help build it with the baggage of Islam, i.e. the training which Islam has given you through its perfect commandments and guidance. Whatever Islam has taught us; these teachings are evergreen and can never be obsolete. The Holy Quran is a Living Book and its laws shall be applicable for all times to come. Those who stick to the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) will never go astray. By this I mean, a true implementation of the Quranic teachings and the practices of our beloved prophet Muhammad (pbuh). It is not sufficient to say that you are Muslims, or followers of the Khalifatullah of this era, and not put into practice whatever Allah, His Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and His Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim have said. This is not true devotion. True devotion as a Muslim is when you comply with all the sayings of Allah and His chosen messengers. It is when you devote your time for the propagation of the Deen of Allah.

In the Holy Quran, Allah says: And who can be better in speech than the one who calls towards Allah, and acts righteously and says, “I am one of those who submit themselves (to Allah)?” (Fussilat 41: 34)

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, Allah has chosen us for this noble work in this era. The Khalifatullah (atba) along with his disciples and followers, those who truly submit to Allah’s will and are true Muslims at heart and in practice, we are the ones who shall, Insha-Allah, march towards the construction of a better world which will be filled with Tawheed (that is, the Unicity of Allah). Insha-Allah, through your call - your invitations - to Islam, many people will recognise and accept the truth of Islam, and admit the oneness of God Almighty and serve Him alone, without ascribing any partners with Him in His worship.

Now, you need to keep making the necessary efforts in this direction, and Insha-Allah, the day is not far when your efforts shall bear fruits. Keep striving in the way of Allah. Don’t fear the people, but fear Allah alone. Put your trust in the Ever-Living God and seek Him in your prayers and devotion. Your Deen works are highly important for this blessed achievement. Each of you has an inherent talent and ability which Allah has instilled in you. Each and every one of my sincere disciples has the ability to “move mountains” if he or she desires. You can achieve a lot when you put your mind to it and pray for Allah’s help in the accomplishments of your tasks for His cause.

Never despair of the help and promise of Allah. Allah will always help those who help His Khalifatullah towards the re-construction of Islam. This is essential for true spiritual advancement and to gain proximity to Allah. Fortunate are you who have, during your lifetime, believed in a Messenger of Allah who has come with the Holy Spirit (Ruh’il Quddus) to guide you on the Right Path. You have not just believed, but you have come forward and lent your support and help for the advancement of Islam, Sahih al Islam, Masha-Allah, Alhamdulillah. This is the true spirit which a believer must inculcate in himself and translate it into action.

May Allah bless you all, and bless your Jalsa Salana with exceptional blessings. May the angels greet you with peace and may Allah grant you your pious prayers for your own welfare, for the welfare of your respective families as well as the welfare of our whole Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in Kerala and around the world. Insha-Allah, Ameen.

Thank you for your kind attention.

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.
