Celebrating 'Sirat-un-Nabi'

Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (sa), the holy founder of Islam and the greatest Prophet of all times,  left behind enduring teachings for the benefit of humankind for all times.  The Qur’an, and the sacred Prophetic Sunnah remain amongst us, to guide us from the darkness of selfish pleasures to the illumination of souls in remembrance of God. It is by striving to follow in the footsteps of the holy Prophet (sa) that true believers can lead a life that attracts the approval and pleasure of Allah (swt); a  balanced life that recognizes our duties to Allah (swt) and the responsibilities we owe to fellow human beings in society, pursuing goodness in this world and the world to come, Insha Allah.

The Holy Prophet (sa) had penetrating insights into the future conditions of the world, especially of the events that will unfold among his people, the Muslims of the Later Days. A close reading of sacred Ahadith would leave no one in doubt about the fulfilment of those Prophetic words in the stark realities being obtained in our own times-in many different ways. While warning the Ummah about the times in which knowledge of Deen will be taken away from the society of the Muslims, it was also reassured that to renew the spiritual path of Islam, true heirs of the Holy Prophet (sa) would be raised by Allah (twt) Himself. Among the believers, it was foretold, there would be one or more savants of Faith- the pole stars of the Faith in morally-darkened times, and that these individuals and their followers would seek to revive and renew the values of Islam and Prophetic Aqidah in turbulent times.

‘Tarbiyat’ Meetings in Jamaat

'O my dear son, associate with the Learned and sit respectfully in their presence. For, Allah gives life to hearts by the light of His wisdom, as He revives the dead-earth by life-giving rain from the heavens'---Luqman, the Wise.

With the Holy and august presence and continuous guidance of Khalifatul Muslemeen Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius,  the Jamaat ul Sahih Al Islam International today seeks to revive and renew amongst its members the great Islamic tradition of learning and seeking wisdom in the company of the Righteous. In this context, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- India organized a number of Tai’lim/ Tarbiyat/ Study-Circle meetings in recent weeks for the benefit of its members in Tamil Nadu, and also in Kerala, including by women’s wing of the Jamaat, Siraj Makin Djawaharatul Kamal. In view of the continuing (Covid- 19 related) restrictions on physical meetings in several places, the Jamaat members have used both Online and Offline methods of collective learning, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

In Tamil Nadu, Tarbiyat meetings were organized in Kottar and Melappalayam in the last week of September 2021. Brothers such as Khalil Rahman Saheb, Suleiman Samil Saheb, Sheikh Malukar Saheb, and Muhammad Nabil Saheb led the discussions at the meetings- exchanging views on important spiritual themes such as dietary practices of the Holy Prophet (sa); the Promised Messiah (as)’ views on ‘Ilm-ul-Yaqeen’; Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba)’s perspectives on Ghibbat -the sins of thinking and speaking ill of others, backbiting, etc.

Likewise, on 26 September 2021, a Tarbiyyat meeting was organized at the Melappalayam Masjid under the Chairpersonship of Mukarram Noor-ud-Din Saheb, the respected Tarbiyyat Secretary of the Jamaat in Tamil Nadu. Janab Sabeer Saheb recited the Holy Qur’an; Sofiya Banu Saheba recited a Nazm  from the blessed pen of our beloved Imam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) of Mauritius. Different speakers such as Muhammad Rafi Saheb, Naseer Saheb and the Chair of the session Noor-ud-Din Saheb covered important topics for expanding the spiritual knowledge and awareness levels of fellow brothers and sisters in the community. The holy teachings of Islam as taught by Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) and the Imam-e-Inquilab Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) were broadly explained by the discussants on the occasion, Alhamdulillah.

Kerala Majlis-e- Amila 2021

Alhamdulillah, the recently re-unified Kerala Jamaat’s Majlis-e- Amila [Central Committee & Branch Presidents and other office bearers] now stands established for a period of three years (2021-24) through a Divinely-inspired, spiritual democratic process of election and nomination, with the permission and approval of Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Khalifatullah Al Mahdi Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba), Summa Alhamdulillah.

While making the official proclamation on the list of office bearers of the Kerala Jamaat, Hazrat Khalifatullah (atba) reflected positively on the decade-long work of the pioneers of the Jamaat in the State, in helping to spread the message of Sahih Al Islam in this country and beyond. Hazrat Saheb (aba) also recommended to the brothers  now taking responsibility to preserve this legacy and expand on this good work so as to serve the larger causes of the Jamaat of Allah (swt) in this era.  At the same time, it was also noted that ‘office’ entails “a trial for all those who have been elected, selected and approved so that they may serve the cause of Allah with fear of Allah, and not with greed for power, honour or any material gain.”

When responsibilities fall on the shoulders of a person, he develops the ability to reflect and think over certain matters. By the grace of Allah, He has established the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam with a view to create a sense of responsibility in its members. Hence, some holds important offices of Amir, a General Secretary, Financial Secretary, Tarbiyyat Secretary, Tabligh Secretary, etc. Any failure in this respect may bring about the reverse consequences”, notes and cautions Hazrat Saheb (aba).

May Allah (swt) enable all office-bearers at all levels to bear the burden on their shoulders- of serving the Jamaat with Taqwah, Aameen, Summa Aameen Ya Rabbi’l Alameen.

‘Dawah’ Magazine 2021

The Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International (Mauritius) has just unveiled a new publication, entitled ‘Sahih Al Islam Photo Magazine: Basking in the Light of Memories Past, 2015-2020.’  Originally published in January 2021, the Book is a solemn tribute to Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) on the happy occasion of his 60th (Janam Din) Birthday. Indeed, this year also marks the completion of the first two decades of steadfast preaching of the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius. Compiled by the dedicated Jamaat team in Mauritius and edited by Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen Sadr Saheba International Fazli Amena Varsally, the book captures stunning images from the last half a decade of Jamaat activities, chronicling historic moments, International Dawah Missions and other social events of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) along with his disciples, both at home (Mauritius), and abroad.

The present Book, in many ways, carries forward the work already done by the Jamaat team when “Light-Giving Moon” was published in 2016, providing an accessible glimpse into the family and spiritual background and important Dawah missions of Hazrat Saheb (aba) through Photo Essays for the period up to 2015. During the last five years, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam activities have increased exponentially, and the record of very important activities indeed needed to be preserved for posterity, and the present Book goes a long way in celebrating some of the historical events of the Jamaat during this period, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

Jalsa 2020: Special Address

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim

My dear disciples,

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, it gives me great pleasure to join the Jalsa Salana International along with that of the Kerala Jamaat on this blessed day, 19th December 2020. Despite the overall COVID-19 situation prevailing, we are able to hold our Jalsa Salana in respect of the Islamic guidance as well as the government protocols in our respective countries. Bear in mind that the pandemic will become all the more serious in the coming year. Even though Mauritius is more or less free from the pandemic, in respect of local contaminations, I pray for all my disciples who are found in India and elsewhere in the world where the COVID-19 situation has become very serious. May Allah bless you all, protect you from every harm, and grant you such grace which will suffice for you in this world and the life to come. May Allah bless all my companions who are working day and night to further the cause of Islam around the world and enable them to march towards the victory of Islam through the guidance of Allah and His Khalifatullah of this era. Ameen.

Remembering Hamza Saheb

Hamza Ibrahim Saheb,
one of the senior-most members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam-India, passed away in Kerala this week. He was 74 years old and has had certain age-related health concerns for some time now. Possibly, he was waiting for the ongoing Covid-related public health emergency in the State to subside so as to go for a thorough medical check-up, when the death came of heart failure on the evening of 18 October 2020, around 5.30 pm, Innallillahi wa inna ilayhi raajeeoune.

Hamza Ibrahim Saheb worked with the judicial department of the Kerala government, in the administrative/clerical side of the subordinate courts system, until retirement from service almost two decades ago. After retirement from job, he continued to be active in striving to be a good Muslim in life, as he understood it. It was this life-long commitment to the Prophetic Way that induced him to keep his mind and intellect open to spiritual perceptions until his last breath in this world. He did not hesitate to follow his heart in recognizing the Truth as he perceived it- even when such spiritual explorations and interests took him away from conventional wisdom and the prevailing orthodoxies of his social environment. Born and brought up in a traditional Muslim household in Alappuzha, Hamza Saheb displayed spiritual conviction and courage in embracing the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya in 1979. Subsequently, he got married among the Ahmadis of Karunagappally, and came to live in the region. While remaining an Ahmadi Muslim, he came to hear, learn about and went on to recognize the spiritual station and Divine mission of Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius in 2010- indeed, he was one among the first group of believers in Kerala. In his death, he leaves behind his biological family (wife and two grown-up sons and relatives), and the spiritual commune (Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam-Kerala) of the last 10 years of his life.

‘Darsul Qur’an’ in Malayalam

Qur’an for Soul Illumination

As the religion established by the Creator Himself, Islam’s teachings display an inherent awareness about human nature. It shows an intuitive understanding about the sublime heights to which a humble soul can soar high- or rather, be lifted up by the Heavenly Grace. It also indicates the darker depths to which the arrogant self would be brought down by the raging fires of Hell within when it moves away from its truer moorings. 'Did We not give him two eyes, a tongue, two lips, and point out to him the two clear ways (of good and evil)?' (HQ, 90: 9-11). 'Truly We guided him upon the way, be he grateful or ungrateful' (76: 4).

According to the Book of God, what lays ahead for the human soul as well as for the wider fortunes of a nation is entirely based on the choices they prefer; the informed decisions they make concerning their own material and spiritual futures. Indeed, the God-gifted free will allows the humans to choose their life journeys: both the highways of righteousness and moderation, and of evil and injustice are open for selection by individuals and their communities and nations. The Holy Prophet (sa) clearly advised, 'O people! There are only two highways: the highway of good and the highway of evil. Make not the highway of evil more beloved to you than the highway of good'. Whether to become a people of moral responsibility and ethical restraint, who prefer racial and religious amity, tolerance of other ways of life, compassion for the less privileged, and show residual goodwill for all fellow beings- including animals and nature; or to become a society of maniacs who thrive on conquest, disorder and triumphalism- each could pursue what one prefers in this world for as long as Allah (swt) wills it so. After all, the final outcome or the eventual judgement of all matters are in the Hands of Allah (swt).

In the perplexing surroundings of life on earth, the human soul craves for pure guidance: it is to aid and help in this latent human quest for illumination that Allah (swt) sends His messages through His chosen representatives in every era- a sublime act of mercy for His earthly creatures. Indeed, the advent of the Holy Prophet (sa) and the exemplary model of patience and steadfastness and Divine consciousness he left behind as his life in this world is a perennial source of inspiration for all those who are at crossroads of life, but remain in awe of God at all times: 'The Messenger of God is an excellent model for those of you who put your hope in God and the Last Day and remember Him often' (HQ, 33:22).

Indeed, the
Book of God left behind by the Prophet (sa) provides all encompassing guidance to the human soul, illuminating the correct and straight path to tread in the contingent circumstances of our earthly lifeAccording to the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), there are over 700 verses of clear rulings in the Holy Qur’an and it is only by being aware of, and following them in full measure, that we become believers. Hazrat Mirza (as) wrote:

‘...beware and do not take a single step contrary to the teaching of God and the guidance of the Quran. I tell you truly that anyone who disregards even a small injunction of the seven hundred commandments of the Quran, shuts upon himself the door of salvation’.(Noah’s Ark, p. 42, UK edition, 2018).

Living Signs of Divine Favours

In his Friday Sermon of 17 July 2020~ 25 Dhul-Qaddah 1441 AH, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hadhrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius narrated a number of interesting, pure dreams made by devout members of the Jamaat in recent times. These dreams, in their own different ways, confirm the validity, power and blessings of prayers in the Divine Way. When believers remain true to the covenant of the Faith, observe the moral teachings of the Holy Prophet (sa) by following in the footsteps of the Khalifatullah (aba) of their times, and show sincerity of purpose in utter self-surrender to the Will of God amidst the trials of earthly circumstances; the Divine gaze keeps such humble ones relatively safe even in times of grave dangers, and elevates them morally and spiritually that they become blessed with countless favours of the Divine. Indeed, the light of Divine mercy and grace embrace and illumine them and their surroundings in myriad ways that they become living signs of pure Faith, notes Hadhrat Saheb (aba) in the discourse.

Read the Extracts from the Friday Sermon Below:

'...I tell you about an amazing dream that one of my followers in Kerala, Sulfikar Ali Sahib saw last week.

This dream is based on the importance of duahs and trust in Allah that Allah will grant [realise] these duahs, and it is an extraordinary sign that this dear disciple saw this dream on 05 July 2020, and since a long time, Allah had already helped me to prepare these series of sermons on the theme of duahs, and last week Allah inspired me to start my Friday sermons on the subject of invocations, without me being aware of this dream. It was not until after the sermon last Friday that I learned of this dream. So this is by no means a coincidence. The ways of Allah are truly extraordinary.

So the dream (which he saw around 3:00 a.m.) is as follows: He found that he was in the company of a few people, making fervent invocations to Allah (swt), a lot of Duahs ... yet, he thought there was no way his duahs would be accepted and was on the verge of despair. Then the person who was with him, told him not to despair, but to increase his invocations because Allah (swt) listens to the prayers of His servants in distress ... he advised him to repent a lot, to seek Istigfaar and to continue with his prayers so that Allah the Most Merciful will listen to him. So he continued his prayers ... in abundance. Eventually, he reached a space where he understood that he was meeting Allah. Appearing in the form of a person ... the being said to him: “Your prayers are accepted, you are going to be granted Jannat (paradise)”.

Promised Messiah and Imam Azim- I

In a recent essay in Malayalam, the respected Amir of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in South Kerala, Mukarram R. Jamaluddin Raother Saheb of Mathra, compiles together some very important extracts from the writings of the Promised Messiah Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian (1835-1908). These writings of the Promised Messiah (as) clearly establish that the descent of Divine revelations among human communities is a Sunnat Allah- a perennial practice of Allah (swt). From the times of Hadhrat Adam (as) onwards, God’s covenant with the Prophets included the duty on believers in every era to help and assist in the establishment of Tauheed on earth, by believing and following in the footsteps of the Divine Elects raised amongst them (Holy Qur'an, 03:82; 33:08, 02:39; 07:36).

The Promised Messiah (as), through his writings, points out that the door of Divine revelations shall remain open till the Day of Judgement, and that the sincere and steadfast servants of God in every era shall have the opportunity to receive the special blessing and favours of God, like Allah (swt) bestowed upon His perfect devotees in the past- the Prophets; the Truthful in their belief, words and deeds; the Bearers of Testimony to the truth of the religion of Allah  by their words and deeds,; the Martyrs and the Righteous who stick to the right course under all circumstances (HQ, 01: 06-07; 04:70).

‘Do not think that God’s revelation is a thing of the past (The Holy Quran has perfected the Law of God, but this has not brought an end to revelation, for it is the life of a true religion. Any religion which is devoid of ongoing divine revelation is dead and forsaken by God) and that the Holy Spirit can no longer descend as it did so in previous times.

I tell you truthfully that all doors may close—but the one from which the Holy Spirit descends, never shuts. Open the doors of your hearts so that the Holy Spirit may enter it. By closing the window from which the ray of light enters, you distance yourself from this sun of your own accord. Unenlightened ones! Come forth and open this window so that the sun might itself enter you. God has not closed the paths of His worldly blessings in this age. Rather, He has increased them. Do you then think that the paths of the blessings of heaven, which you sorely need at this time, have been closed by Him? Most certainly not! Rather, this door is wide open. In Surah Al-Faatihah God has taught that the door to every single blessing of the past has been opened for you. Why then do you refuse to accept them?...’

---[Noah’s Ark by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, UK: Islam International Publications Ltd; 2018 edn,  pp 39-40].

Qur'an and Imam Azim (atba)

Imam-Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (atba) of Mauritius is a servant of God in our turbulent times. Deeply attached to the faith of ISLAM from his early childhood, Hazrat Azim (atba) devoted himself to a life of spiritual contemplation and preaching, helping people appreciate the beauty and merits of the correct and straight path in life to tread on. Even as he guided hundreds of people in different nations in the Indian Ocean Island States to embrace Islam through his preaching efforts in the 1990's,  as he turned 40 years of age in the year 2000-01 Allah (swt) took him under the wing of His Mercy, giving him scores of spiritual titles, and inspired him with special Messages for the attention of all humanity. Alhamdulillah,  the Divine Mission of Imam Azim (atba) now enters its glorious twentieth year of existence, Summa Alhamdulillah.

When a servant of God appears on the spiritual horizon and begins his sublime preaching, it is only natural that the Holy Qur'an will emit a glorious light of its pristine teachings in support of such Divinely-inspired claims. Indeed, the whole Qur'an will testify to the veracity of the Elects of God, for both the 'word' of God- Qur'an- and the 'act' of God- raising of His representatives- cannot be incompatible. A recent article, prepared and published by Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Raother Saheb of the  Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- South Kerala explains 10 verses of the Holy Qur'an that provides evidences in favour of the spiritual claims of Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (atba).

Look at the spiritual titles given by Allah (swt) to Imam Azim (atba):

Amir'ul Mu'mineen (19 January 2003); Hazrat (25 July 2003); Muhyi-ud-Din (06-07 December 2003); Musleh Maoud (20 February 2004); Khalifatullah (26-27 May 2008); Imam-e-Inquilaab (26-27 May 2008); Massih Maoud (10 September 2010); Mujaddid (10 September 2010); Rasulullah (October 2010); Nabiullah (October 2010).

'Daughters, Work for Divine Approval'

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, the Siraj Makin- women’s wing of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- in Kerala recently organized a Deen-i-Ta’lim programme, the second of a series of study-circle meetings being planned for the year. The Sadr of the Kerala Jamaat, Rajeena Sadiq Ali Saheba, and Na’ib Sadr Fauzia Jamal Saheba led the meeting proceedings and several activities at the historic Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra on Saturday, 07 March 2020.

In a special message on the occasion, International Sadr of the Siraj Makin Hadhrat Ummul Mu'mineen Fazli A. Varsally Saheba encourages women comrades of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam to transform themselves into inspirational role models for all true devotees and lovers of God Almighty. Critical to bringing about this profound change at the personal level is the individual believer's ability to identify with, and to renew in their own lives and social circles, the extraordinary legacy of the early Muslim women who sacrificed their all for their faith/convictions- seeking only the pleasure of God, notes Hadhrat Saheba in this discourse.

'Siraj Makin': The Road Ahead

In a special message on the occasion, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hadhrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (atba) of Mauritius underscores the importance of taking personal reform and religious duties seriously. 'When you become a light of Allah, you would be able to enlighten the whole world', notes Hadhrat Saheb (atba) in the discourse.

'Siraj Makin': Tasks of Faith

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, the Siraj Makin- women’s wing of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- in Kerala recently organized a Deen-i-Ta’lim programme, the first of a series of study-meetings being planned by the women's wing for the year ahead. The newly appointed Sadr of the Kerala Jamaat, Rajeena Sadiq Ali Saheba, and Na’ib Sadr Fauzia Jamal Saheba led the meeting proceedings and several activities at the Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra on Friday, 07 February 2020

In a special message on the occasion, International Sadr of the Siraj Makin Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen Fazli Amena Varsally Saheba reminds the gathering of women believers about the duties of Faith, and what it implies for their/our everyday lives. Bearing true allegiance to Faith primarily entails a commitment to personal reform to grow spiritually, to recognize the vital presence of God in our moment in this world. Along with offering regular prayers and observing the rites of Faith, bearing witness to the sublime values of Islamic life, in one's own personal settings, true devotees of God also have an equal obligation to reach out to fellow humans- 'Muslim' and 'non-Muslim', to exhort one another to a truer and purposeful living. Recognizing the dues of God include respect for the interests and equal rights of His creations. Hence, preaching the message of Divine Unity is to construct a good social order as well. The larger tasks of Dawa/ Tabligh- inviting people to a richer, ethically-aware, spiritual way of liferequire sacrifice and hard work- financial, time, travels, meetings; prudent co-option of communication channels, including social media,  in the cause of Faith and Divine Light. Women believers could and should play a critical role in projecting and disseminating the Divine Messages of our times being vouchsafed through our Imam/Jamaat Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (atba), exhorts Hazrat Saheba in this important discourse.

Kerala Jalsa 2019: A Report

JAMAAT UL SAHIH AL ISLAM-Kerala (South) organized its Ninth Jalsa Salana at the historic Noorul Islam Masjid, Mathra, 22-23 December 2019. Alhamdulillah, in addition to the members in Mathra; brothers from Alappuzha and Karunagappally, also could reach the Mosque venue ahead of the commencement of the two-day programme. As a community of people with shared interests and concerns, common goals under the banner of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and the Imamat of the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius, the members of the Jamaat listened to speeches and engaged with one another in extended conversations, discussing the finer points of being a believer in Tawheed in these times
The brothers and sisters who participated in it viewed the get-together as an opportunity for soul-searching and critical self-reflection on our collective faith in the Islamic Way and all that it entails in our private lives and public conduct. They recognize that these are challenging times, a time when the world around is dangerously indulgent in a destructive trajectory of life, whereas the ethical and spiritual outlook is beckoning to a radically-moderate transformation in our whole outlook on all spheres of life. All of us also agree that even when the society around is largely indifferent, and in certain cases, actively hostile to all that we stand for; it is our duty as the party of believers to stand up with spiritual courage and sublime patience, perseverance and steadfastness on our truths, against all odds and at all costs.

Eid-ul-Adha 2019 @ Mathra: A Report

Alhamdulillah, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha 2019, members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- South Zone- Kerala (India) celebrated this major Islamic festival in a unique and memorable way: early morning, the members performed Divine invocations, Eid Namaz and listened to the Eid Khutba at the historic Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra on 12 August 2019 ~ (10 Dhul Hijjah 1440 AH).
After the solemn Eid prayers at the Masjid in the morning, the Jamaat members took the initiative on the occasion to organize a social outreach/ community lunch Programme in the village’s Old Age Home, Summa Alhamdulillah.
Along with the lunch meeting with the mothers and sisters at the Meera Charitable Trust, Mukarram Amir Jamaat, Jenab R. Jamaluddin Raother Saheb also conducted an interactive session with students and other guests who were present on the occasion at the venue.
Naib Sadr of the Siraj Makin, Fauzia Jamal-Zain Saheba also joined the Amir Saheb in the conversations with the young women and men, and they interacted on a range of significant issues that confront every human in this world: the purpose of life; true goals of education; our social responsibilities; the role of spirituality in shaping our ethical frameworks, etc. These conversations apparently opened up a world of thought  for the non-Muslim audience who were unfamiliar to many of those Islamic precepts. Indeed, the presentation of Prophetic traditions and Islamic perspectives for the betterment of all humans, including the duty to care for the indigent and socially marginalized, was deeply appreciated by those who listened to our members, Alhamdulillah.

'Dawat-i-Allah': Calling people to God- I

Introduction to Part- 1:

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, I had since long written a lengthy book on the importance of DAWAT-I-ALLAH. I am hereby presenting it to you in the form of Friday Sermons as this is a very important subject. My disciples have also sought my advice and asked this humble self to expound on this subject so that they may be able to acquire the ability to do the Dawat-i-Allah and become excellent Dai-Illallah. So, this subject shall be divided and made throughout many of my Friday Sermons and I pray that my disciples in India – in Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu – Coimbatore, Trichy, Meleppalayam, Kottar, etc., and my other disciples in the UAE, Africa and in the islands and other countries may benefit from these sermons. May Allah enable them through these sermons to enrich their knowledge in the field of Dawa/ tabligh and to become excellent DAI-ILLALLAH. Insha-Allah. Ameen.

Dawat-i-Allah: An Important Obligation

If we wish to become the companions of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), it is incumbent for each one of us to invite others towards Allah because the one who sows [who makes efforts] in the path of Allah, he/ she will be among the companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). We must maintain and take great care of our plantation till it is ready for harvest. All members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, National and International who are working hard in the field of Dawat-i-Allah (i.e. inviting people towards Allah), their names are cited in the words of Allah and if you want to become the companions of Hazrat Muhamamd (pbuh), hence it is necessary for you to work hard [just like a labourer who cultivates the land] in the path of Allah. Hence, you will have to create new spiritual qualities in you [to be successful].

'Shura': Consensus for Progress

My dear disciples,
Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

It is my pleasure to address you few words for your bi-monthly Siraj Makin gathering at the Noor’ul Islam Masjid at Mathra on 23 June 2019. Alhamdulillah, it is indeed a good practice that you have undertaken to meet often and to maximize your time in learning, to interact among yourselves and to better yourselves spiritually. Keep it up, Insha-Allah.

Shura: Consultation in Islam

I would like to address you today on the importance of Consultation in Islam. Like you know there is a special chapter on this subject, known as Ash-Shura (The Consultation). A Shura is basically a grand meeting involving all members of a community coming together to reach a mutual decision concerning several matters of the community. In Islam, in the absence of the Messenger of Allah, people should consult each other and take the opinion of everybody – especially those who are directly connected with the matter – so that the best decision may be taken. Allah (swt) even advised the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) to consult the people on certain matters, and to take his final decision. For during the times of a Divine Manifestation, the final decision belongs to Allah and His Messenger.

Allah says in the Holy Quran:

It is out of Allah’s mercy that you have been lenient with them. Had you been cruel or hard-hearted, they would have certainly abandoned you. So pardon them, ask Allah’s forgiveness for them, and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs. Once you make a decision, put your trust in Allah. Surely Allah loves those who trust in Him.” (Al-Imran 3: 160).

As you know, there are many people in the world with many ideas and mentalities. In the times of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), as with all the Messengers of Allah, they had to deal with all kinds of people, from among their own followers and also those who rejected their divine mission and message as well. Allah knows that His Messenger’s work is carried out with His stamp of approval and guidance, but not all people understand the essence of it.

It is therefore capital that in this era, under my leadership as the Khalifatullah of this era, my disciples, men and women know how to deal with situations in their personal as well as spiritual/ Jamaat lives so that they may better serve the community of Islam, and ultimately humanity as a whole.

Siraj Makin, the women’s collective of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, South Kerala (India) organized a One-Day Ta’lim Majlis (Divinity Study Program) for the benefit of its members at the historic Noor'ul Islam Masjid, Mathra on Sunday, 23 June 2019 ~ 19 Shawwal 1440 AH. The special study session essentially sought to build upon the earlier initiatives and meetings of the Kerala Jamaat this year- the programs of 09 February 2019 & 19-20 April 2019- to provide the members an opportunity for collective learning/brain-storming so as to keep them aware of the Deeni Ta’lim.

Members of the Jamaat who were present in the programs include Sadr-Siraj Makin Haseena Masood Saheba; Rajeena Sadiq Ali Saheba; Sofiya Beevi Saheba; Naib Sadr Fauzia Jamal-Zain Saheba; Faezah Maryam Zain; DA Zainul Abdeen Saheb of Karunagappally; Na'ib Amir/Jamaat Sadiq Ali Saheb; Sulfikar Ali Saheb, Zachariah Ibn Zain; Munir Ahmad Azim (Jr.); Zaki Mubarak Aziz Raother, etc. Siraj Makin members such as Raziya Hariz Saheba (Alappuzha) and Mubeena Sabir Saheba (Palakkad) were informed well-in advance. However, those members conveyed their inability to attend the program when contacted over telephone.
Mukarram Amir/Jamaat Janab Jamaluddin Raother Saheb presided over the Open Session held early morning- soon after the Fajr Namaz: the message from Imam- Jamaat Hadhrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius and also the special discourse from Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen Fazli Amena Varsally (International Sadr-Siraj Makin) were discussed in that common session where Fazil Jamal saheb provided a Malayalam translation of the Special Addresses for the benefit of all members. Then, Mukarram Amir Saheb provided a detailed commentary on the special speeches, Alhamdulillah.
In his Special Address, Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) spoke on the importance of Shura (the system of Consultation in common affairs) in Islam. In his discourse, Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) notes the importance of the spirit of accommodation, mutual interaction and conciliation of differences of opinion in collective spiritual life, community welfare and progress. To live the ideals of the Jamaat, members need to develop and nurture fraternal affinity and solidarity bonds beyond cultural, regional and linguistic barriers. Such outreach with our fellow members is critical for developing a sense of unity, belongingness and community cohesion; helping one another with the spirit of Taqwah, to advance the cause of Islam and shared humanity. In this context, Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) commended highly the recent initiative by Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb of the Kerala Jamaat to visit and nurture solid bonds with our brothers in Tamil Nadu, and Hadhrat Saheb (atba) also encouraged the women members of the Jamaat also to consider every opportunity to develop such sisterly bonds across the borders through personal visits as well as through social media linkages possible in our times.

Alhamdulillah, by the Grace and blessings of Allah, Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Saheb of the South Kerala Jamaat; accompanied by Naib Amir Sadiq Ali Saheb, Secretary Tabligh Sulfikar Ali Saheb, and this humble blogger- recently had the opportunity to visit our brothers in Tamil Nadu- at Kottar and at Meleppalayam/Tirunelveli, and also to visit the site of the proposed first Mosque of the Jamaat in Tamil Nadu, the Siraj-um-Munir Masjid Project near Papanasam; 15-17 June 2019, Soumma Alhamdulillah.

As part of the first-leg of the tour, the south Kerala Jamaat team reached Kottar, a small-town near Kanya Kumari, the southern- most point in mainland India. Having met some of our Jamaat members at Kottar; the Team extended the journey to Meleppalayam/Tirunelveli Jamaat as well. Since two of the team members had not yet been there, the journey was also extended to include the proposed Siraj-um-Munir Masjid site near Papanasam, Alhamdulillah.
