‘Dawah’ Magazine 2021

The Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International (Mauritius) has just unveiled a new publication, entitled ‘Sahih Al Islam Photo Magazine: Basking in the Light of Memories Past, 2015-2020.’  Originally published in January 2021, the Book is a solemn tribute to Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) on the happy occasion of his 60th (Janam Din) Birthday. Indeed, this year also marks the completion of the first two decades of steadfast preaching of the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius. Compiled by the dedicated Jamaat team in Mauritius and edited by Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen Sadr Saheba International Fazli Amena Varsally, the book captures stunning images from the last half a decade of Jamaat activities, chronicling historic moments, International Dawah Missions and other social events of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) along with his disciples, both at home (Mauritius), and abroad.

The present Book, in many ways, carries forward the work already done by the Jamaat team when “Light-Giving Moon” was published in 2016, providing an accessible glimpse into the family and spiritual background and important Dawah missions of Hazrat Saheb (aba) through Photo Essays for the period up to 2015. During the last five years, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam activities have increased exponentially, and the record of very important activities indeed needed to be preserved for posterity, and the present Book goes a long way in celebrating some of the historical events of the Jamaat during this period, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

The book begins with a beautiful Ode to Allah (swt) and His Khalifa amongst us- the Khalifatullah (aba). The sublime invocations to Allah (swt), inter alia, give expression to the innermost thoughts and prayers of every devout member of the Jamaat for Divine forgiveness, mercy and Grace; for the good health and well being of our beloved Imam Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) and for the glory of the Divine Mission, through the stage by stage progress of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam against all obstacles and enmities, Insha Allah, Aameen.

Our Lord, Certainly, we heard a crier calling to the Faith, saying, “Believe in Your Lord,” and we have believed. Our Lord! Protect us against our sins and rid us of our evils and cause us to die (and after death count us) with the virtuous’. ‘Our Lord, Grant us what You have promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Surely, You do not break Your promise.’ (3:194-5)

Centennial Reflections on Silsila Ahmadiyya

Among the events captured in the Magazine include the Jamaat programmes marking the centenary of the official establishment of the Silsila Ahmadiyya in Mauritius. It is a historic fact that Mauritius, with its unique history of immigrant relations with India, is among the first countries out of India, where the message of Islam as taught by the promised Massih Hadhrat Ahmad (as) reached to be embraced by sincere truth seekers. As early as 1907, during the very lifetime of the promised Massih (as), a noble soul in Mauritius spread the noble message of Ahmadiyyat among his people. The Jamaat was formed in June 1915 with the advent of the first official missionary of the Jamaat, Maulvi Sufi Ghulam Muhammad Saheb B.A., a distinguished companion of the promised Massih (as) to preach the message of Ahmadiyyat and the veracity of the promised Massih (as).

To commemorate the centennial of the Silsila Ahmadiyya in Mauritius, Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba), published a special Book in June 2015, providing a fascinating glimpse into the early days of Ahmadiyya Jamaat in the islands. It is also of special note of spiritual significance for us that the noble grandparents of the Khalifatullah (aba) were among the guiding lights of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya in Mauritius from its very early days. The Book can be accessed here.

The Khalifatullah (aba) in Makkah

A major event of the period covered in the present Book is the Ziarat of Makkah and Madinah by Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) and members of the Holy Family in February 2018. This historic pilgrimage by Hazrat Saheb (aba) was the direct fulfilment of a grand prophecy made by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) concerning his great Caliph- al Imam al Mahdi, the Khalifatullah.  Indeed, sacred Islamic traditions record that the Mahdi/ the Khalifatullah when he appears will have deep connection with the Sacred House and that people will find him engaged in profound, tearful invocations to the Lord Almighty, with his face touching the Ka’bah at a time of great turmoil and blood-letting among the Ummah.

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, speaking in March 2018, almost a month after the Ziaarat to the sacred places in Arabia, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) agreed that his pilgrimage to the Ka’aba is of profound significance from a spiritual perspective in our times:  By the grace of Allah, the day has come in our times that the humble servant and messenger elected by Allah, and the faithful follower of Muhammad (pbuh) and Ahmad (as), has fulfilled according to the promise and the immense grace of Allah the prophecy that the Messiah will make the Umrah or the Hajj or both. Be that as it may, the vision of our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) has been fulfilled in this humble servant and Messiah of Allah, the Promised Messiah of this era by making me perform the Umrah (the lesser Hajj - pilgrimage - to Mecca) 3 times, and it is an honour that I received from Allah, that He opened the way for me after many difficulties to fulfil my first Umrah on 20 February 2018, the exact day of the prophecy of the advent of the Promised Son & Reformer (Musleh Maud) previously received by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as).'

Books on a Global Platform

In a major step for the wider dissemination of the Messages of Allah (swt) being inspired and revealed through His chosen messenger of our times over the last two decades; the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam has published a series of books on the Amazon global publishing platform, Alhamdulillah. By the Grace of Allah (swt), a number of books authored by Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) are now available on the Internet, making it possible for people from around the world to readily access and read these spiritual treasures by purchasing them on the Amazon Books Network, Summa Alhamdulillah.

Foremost among the books published is the Translation and Commentary of the Holy Qur’an, along with the Transliteration of the Arabic Text, Currently, the first Two-Volumes in the Series are available whereas other volumes are forthcoming, Insha Allah. In a Thanksgiving Jamaat programme marking the historic moment and celebrating the praises of Allah (swt) for making it all possible against numerous challenges, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) formally unveiled the two volumes at the Bai’t-ul-Zikr in Mauritius on Sunday, 17 January 2021, Masha Allah, Alhamdulillah, Allah-u-Akbar!

‘Dawah’:  A Travelling Messenger (Messiah)

The Magazine also contains several photos from the Dawah Missions and other spiritual programmes undertaken by Hazrat Saheb (aba) both in Mauritius and abroad over the last few years, visiting several lands spreading the pure message of Allah (swt). Among the countries visited in this context include Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and China; the Indian Ocean Island states of Reunion Islands, Rodrigues, Comoros, Mayotte and Madagascar- with the establishment of new Mosques and Jamaat branches as well as the initiation of new members (Bai’at), Alhamdulillah. The hugely successful India visits of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) in 2017 and 2018 and the related Jamaat events in Kerala and Tamil Nadu are also covered in numerous photos, Summa Alhamdulillah. Indeed, the Photo Magazine is a veritable treasure-trove of Dawah activities for the members of the Jamaat to cherish, and even truth-seekers observing the Jamaat will find it rewarding to study the Book; for, it naturally projects glimpses of Divine Light through the rich inner life and social dimensions of a community devoted to worship of God and service to humanity.
