'Khalifatullah' and Spiritual Revolution

In his Friday Sermon of 04 June 2021~ 22 Shawwal 1442 AH, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius continued the theme of the previous week: the purpose of spiritual missions in the times of a Khalifatullah.

Elects of God come with a mandate to preach pure religion, the clear path to a purposeful and rewarding life in obedience to Divine commandments. Such men of God challenge evil and unfair dealings as well as the unjust ways of the prevailing powers and rulers of the day- leading to an inevitable clash between the bad and the good. The struggle for the establishment of a new order calls for patience, perseverance, steadfastness and  courage on the part of the humble believers, and when they develop supreme reliance and trust on their Lord, and work wholeheartedly to transform the existing centres of power in alliance with other like-minded peoples, it can bring about the impossible transformations.  It is Allah and His messenger and the believers indeed who shall eventually prevail in those searing battles between Islam and all other ideologies in every era, Insha Allah, Aameen.

Noting the current afflictions and convulsions of a degrading earth with its devastating consequences visible all around the world, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) exhorts everyone to return to the true worship of God. It is by rejecting the Satanic impulses and influences, and by embracing the noble path of the prophets that believers can seek forgiveness,  mercy and blessings of God in transforming every obstacle into an opportunity for the onward march of the Faith.

The objectives of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- 2

Alhamdulillah Summa Alhamdulillah, Allah (swt) has given me the opportunity to continue the second part of the Sermon I gave last Friday, May 28th

On another occasion, the Holy Prophet (pbuh) travelled from tribe to tribe, and invited them to Allah (twa). He (pbuh) told them that he was the Messenger of Allah (twa) and asked them to engage in the struggle for the cause of Islam. When he was doing his Dawa, the chief of the tribe of Banu Amir Ibn Sa’sa’ah who is called Bayharah Ibn Firas very quickly understood the impact and the possible result of the mission of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) and he said,
“By Allah, if I removed this man [i.e., Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh)] from the Quraysh, I would be able to defeat the Arabs with his help.” Then he tried to negotiate with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and he said to him (pbuh): “Tell me, if we give you the oath of allegiance, and then when Allah Almighty will make you victorious over your adversaries, will we share some of the power?” Then the noble prophet (pbuh) said to him: “The power belongs to Allah alone and He places it in the hands of whomever He wills.”

A third incident clearly demonstrates the purpose of Muhammad (pbuh) even at a time when Muslims were severely persecuted in Mecca, and this anecdote was related by Khabbab Ibn al-Aratt (ra). He said: “We went to complain to the Messenger of God, while he was in the shade of the Kaa’ba with his head on his mantle, as a cushion, and said to him: “O Messenger of God, won’t you call on God’s help for us? Won’t you pray to God for us?”

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) replied: “Among the men who were before you,” he replied, “there were those who were placed in a hole and sawed in half, starting with the head, and that did not make them deviate from their religion. They were painted with iron instruments that were embedded in the flesh down to the bones and tendons, and this did not make them deviate from their religion. By God, this mission (the propagation of Islam) will be brought to an end [will triumph] until the day when a rider will make the journey from Sanaa to Hadramut, without being afraid of anyone other than Allah or the wolf for his sheep. However you are impatient!” (Bukhari)

Eventually, the purpose of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was confirmed more directly during the Battle of Badr when he returned to his hut and sought Allah’s help (twa) and victory: “O Allah! If this group [of believers] falls today, no one will do Your Ibadah [No one will worship You anymore].” [In other words, there will be no believers to worship Allah exclusively].

This was a petition as well as a pledge, an expression of the end goal of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) of all his struggles / battles among which the Battle of Badr takes centre stage.

The missions and messages of all messengers have the same characteristics; this is the reason why they addressed themselves in the first place to the chiefs [leaders] among their peoples and thus the leaders fully realized the danger of the call of these messengers to their interests, and they were among the first to align themselves against the Messengers of Allah, to oppose them and to persecute them. These leaders have always exposed their fears and apprehensions regarding the missions of these Messengers of Allah.

In the Holy Quran, Allah revealed that Hazrat Musa [the prophet Moses] said, “[He is] the Rab of the East and the West and what is in between; if only you would reason!”

Pharaoh said, “If you take any other deity than me, I will put you in prison.” [Ash-Shu’ara, 26: 29-30]

And Pharaoh also said, Let me kill Moses. And let him call his Lord! I am afraid that he will change your religion or bring out corruption on earth.” (Ghafir 40:27).

To come back to those who have forgotten the significance of a [genuine] revolution, non-Muslims, a little out of prejudice and a little out of lack of information, have not understood that leadership that is not based on the fear of God, this is what is at the root of all the evils that afflict mankind and it is essential for the welfare of mankind that the affairs of this world be taken in hand and led by people who have a morality and fear for Allah (twa).

Anytime we let corruption spread in the world, anytime injustice is committed, anytime tyranny and oppression exist, anytime poison flows through the vein of human culture, in economic and political life, anytime resources and knowledge are misused, and are instruments of destruction instead of good and enlightenment, the main cause is bad leadership.

Yet there is no shortage of good people and good thinkers in society. The problem is that the power is concentrated in the hands of those who are steeped in materialism and reject the religion of Allah.

To change such a situation, it is not enough just to preach sermons [Khutbas], to exhort people to obey and pray to Allah (twa) or to invite them to adopt only high moral values. Rather, it is necessary for the righteous people to unite and to struggle in order to make the effort required to change the centre of power and authority. The revolution demands that men of righteousness unite for a common cause: to make Islam prevail over all other ideologies.

Until mankind will pray to one God and put their total trust in the one God and walk away with the attractions of this temporal world, then they will suffer a mountain of problems [literally, problem after problem]; they will not have real peace. The world has grown heavy with the weight of sins. There are those who take prayer as a routine, and others do not even pray; they neglect divine commandments; there are those who declare themselves atheists. On this earth there is more harm [evil] than good; it is because of this that God uses this same earth - temporary for us - and shows us His anger, and where then you see that in several countries there are earthquakes where thousands and thousands of people lose their lives - causing deaths.

If I am not mistaken, at the beginning of the month of March when I was speaking with one of my disciples, this revelation immediately descended: Izaa zulzilatil-Arzu zilzaalahaa wa akhrajatil-arzu asqaalahaa wa qaalal-insaanu maa la-haa?”

When the earth shakes with a violent quake and the earth brings out its burdens, and man says, “What is [wrong] with it?”

Do you know? In this century that we live in, a lot of unusual things are happening, like drugs killing people, floods - how many people die and others are left homeless, earthquakes - how many people find death under their own houses, their own buildings and there are those who are rescued while others, no [they are not withdrawn in time to save their lives]. We have also had several viruses and nowadays an invisible virus is bringing large countries and also small countries to their knees economically and financially speaking and millions have died with this coronavirus. I can still go on about the other [topical] matters in this world and it all feels like Judgement Day.

So save your lives. Turn to the one God and pray to Him with sincerity of heart. In Mauritius itself you will witness how a volcano - the Trou aux Cerfs - which has been “dead” [dormant] for several hundred years, will erupt all of a sudden - an eruption that cannot be avoided - and I tell you also that there will be several rivers of blood that will cover the water of the rivers and I also tell you that the world is at its peak of development - it is too much developed. Now the whole world will be enveloped [i.e., will go towards its degradation].

So believe me, it is because of you that Allah has sent me to give you this news, to change [reform] you, Insha-Allah. May Allah make you realize the truth and stay away from the paths of Satan. Wash your hearts with the fear of God and turn to Him. It is He alone Who can turn a situation around, or save you in terms of your faith, where He will forgive you, and cause you to acquire faith and admit you into His mercy. May Allah make His Deen [Islam] prevail throughout the world. Insha-Allah, Ameen.
