Life and Times of Shuayb (as)

 

Allah (swt) has created the humans as His trustee(Khalifa) on earth. We owe our Creator, our very existence. Human life and progress for a period are all entirely due to His mercy and unending blessings. The Divine Trusteeship entails grave responsibility of conduct on our part. As trustees of Allah (swt) on earth, we owe a duty to care for all of His creations on earth- being just in all financial transactions; doing fair in all human relations; remaining moderate and balanced in our social engagements, etc. It is to remind us of this heavenly trust on our shoulders that the Prophets and saints of God appear in every era, among the people- 'weak' and 'forgetful' and 'prone to the temptations of Satan' as we flawed humans are.

Hence, it is height of stupidity and ignorance to challenge common sense and combat God's Message. Blinded by their own passions, the arrogant elites in their vanity laugh at the messages they dislike, seeking to fight against God and His Elects when they come to lead them to prudence and wisdom. If only the spiritually blind had the 'vision' to recognize the Light they are missing! The light of wisdom that the Prophets bring in do not profit  a people who are self-satisfied, who remain aloof from, and who show contemptuous disregard for the higher values of life that these messengers teach- clinging as those earthly worms to the pleasures of a fleeting time. Like Qur'an testifies in the case of numerous communities that persecuted Prophets in the past, Divine justice will pursue their excesses in ways they will least expect, and in moments of His choosing their reckoning would take place. Indeed, going by evidence of what happened in the recorded past, Divine vengeance is something to be wary of, by anyone who is sensible. Allah's mercy and blessings engulf a people who listen and follow the Divine commandments and teachings that the Prophets bring in, for their own welfare in this world and for salvation in the world to come. 

Divine Calamity To Those Who Disobey

In his Friday Sermon of 26 November 2021~20 Rabi’ul Aakhir 1443 AH, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius explains the life and times of Prophet Shuayb (as) as a spiritual lesson for our times. The Holy Qur'an preserves the example of Hazrat Shuayb (as) as a man of Divine principles and ethical restraint in a society given to the worship of riches at any cost. Yet, all that people amassed in excess through unfair methods proved to be of no use to them on the day of Divine punishment. On the other hand, those who follow the Prophets in letter and spirit, they become recipients of Divine Mercy and Grace in every era, Insha Allah, Aameen.

Qur’an on ‘Khalifatullah’

 

'Is there a Qur'anic Verse which stipulates that a Khalifatullah is a Messenger of Allah?' This question was recently raised by some Ahmadis when they were told about the spiritual messages and Divinely-elected status of Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) of Mauritius. It's indeed a measure of the extend of ignorance prevailing among the current crop of Ahmadis that they have started questioning the very foundational beliefs of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya without any knowledge and understanding of spiritual doctrine! Do they know that their spiritual father Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian was a Messenger of Allah by virtue of the fact that he was a Khalifatullah of his times? Don't they know that Allah (swt) has promised the believers through the Holy Prophet (sa) that He will raise one or more Khalifatullah in every era ? When someone is raised and sent by Allah (swt) as His Khalifa with Holy Spirit (Divine revelations), can such a Khalifatullah be addressed except as a Messenger of Allah? 

Based on Qur'anic teachings and the history of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, Imam-Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Muhyiuddin Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) of Mauritius explains the concept of Khalifatullah- distinguishing it from mundane selections that men's assemblies do make and take for their own social leadership and community cohesion, such as the office of the Khalifatul Massih in the Nizam-e-Jamaat. Drawing on the Qur'anic examples of Hazrat Adam (as) and Hazrat Dawud (as), Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) points out that those Khulafatullah were indeed Messengers of Allah as well.

'The answer to this question can be found in several verses of the Holy Quran. If we delve into the Holy Quran, we find that Allah has said as from the second chapter itself, i.e. Al-Baqarah, that He shall place His Representative (Khalifa) on earth. 

Allah says:

“Behold, your Lord said to the angels: Verily I will create a vicegerent (Khalifa) on earth.” (Al-Baqara 2: 31).

The Khalifa (Caliph) whom Allah raises comes from Him, and not through any election promoted by man. He takes instructions only from Allah – i.e. divine instructions. 

Knowledge of God in Our Souls

'On earth there are signs for those with sure faith- and in yourselves too, do you not see?' (51:21) Regardless of our social and cultural background, each of us as humans are programmed as it were with inbuilt faculties for an innate recognition of the existence of a Higher Being. Whereas idolatry defy reason and logic and has no leg to stand on the rational disposition of any human being, God's Oneness and Lordship is intuitively understood by every human soul. Embedded in human nature is an original consciousness of God's Oneness; a natural disposition to recognizing and worshipping God and toward accepting the Prophets and the messages that they bring as 'reminders' of what they already intuitively 'know' to be the Truth in their latent consciousness. Being true to our inner disposition as a  sincere and morally uncorrupted soul, one can only adapt one's choices in tune with His ordinances in this world. Indeed, knowledge of God's Lordship enable us to care for the higher values of life, rather than incline towards selfish desires and worldly things- the greed for which debases man, turning him away from the path of God's messengers, and lead him to the misfortune of being held accountable as a disbeliever, or a hypocrite (God forbid). 

Recently, a Lady from Canada raised a question: 'How can people with diverse backgrounds, societies and cultures, believe in the one true God'? Based on Qur'anic teachings and Prophetic traditions, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius provides a considered response to the question.

'...So for people to be held responsible for worshipping the one true God, they all need to have access to knowledge of Him. The final revelation teaches that all human beings have the recognition of the one true God imprinted on their souls as a part of their very nature with which they are created.  

The Criterion of True Faith

 

Is there a way to identify and understand a correct and straight path to God amidst all that different religions (and their denominational groups) claim to offer? How do we know and distinguish between true concept of God and false beliefs of people? Does Faith in God entail the duty to choose wisely and with equity, and to follow the Right Way at all times?  These  questions arise in many minds in our times. Especially so when we hear many people, professing different creeds, offering diverging views on the vital issue of spiritual guidance in the Divine Way. Recently, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius responded to a similar concern raised by a truth-seeker, Mr. Paul Robert Chaiya. His question was like this: 

'Mr. Munir Ahmad Azim, you have made your proclamation as the Prophet and Messiah of this era, so why there are so many religions which proclaim to be in the right way? I want your answer. Thank you very much.' 

Reproduced Below are the Extracts from the response of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) on the occasion: 

'There are so many sects, cults, religions, philosophies, and movements in the world, all of which claim to be the right way or the only true path to God! How can one determine which one is correct or whether, in fact, all are correct? 

One method by which the answer can be found is to clear away the superficial differences in the teachings of the various claimants to the ultimate truth, and identify the central object of worship upon which they call directly or indirectly. False religions all have in common one basic concept with regard to God: They either claim that all men are gods, or that specific men were gods, or that nature is god, or that God is a figment of man’s imagination.

‘O My Lord, help me to be truly grateful for Your favours to me, and to my parents; help me to do good work that pleases You; make my offspring good. I  turn to You; I am one of those who devote themselves to You.’ (HQ, 46:16) 

As one grows older and wiser, one becomes even more conscious of one’s responsibility towards both the older and the younger generations. ‘Whosoever is unkind to our young and disrespectful of our old is not one of us’, declared the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa). Indeed, being virtuous and showing gratitude to one’s parents is a Qur’anic duty on all believers- second in importance only to the duty to worship God: “Worship God; join nothing with Him. Be good to your parents, to relatives, to orphans, to the needy, to neighbours near and far, to travelers in need, and to your assistants.” (4:37)

Inspired by Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Al Mahdi Munir Ahmad Azim (aba)’s spiritual discourses and illuminating guidance, Mukarram R. Jamaluddin Raother Saheb of Mathra recently established a charitable initiative in Kerala, India. With the sublime objective of rendering service to humanity, Jamaluddin Saheb has founded and legally-registered a Trust in fond memory of, and in the name of his beloved parents, Janab Rasavumeeran Raother (d. 1951) and Fatima Beevi Saheba (d.1986).

Towards the Construction of a New Life 

Today the mantra on the lips of the authorities and a section of the population of the world is: “It is imperative to be vaccinated.” But, the question arises: Where to find the vaccines? 

Rich or influential countries like Israel, have already reached rates of over 60%, or are getting there quickly, because they obtained them before the others, particularly the vaccines which are, according to them, the most effective. Some are starting to inoculate [i.e. vaccinate] those who are less at risk, such as their teenagers and even their [small] children. At the same time, in Africa, where less than 2% of the vaccine doses produced against COVID-19 is administered, even medical personnel do not have the opportunity to be vaccinated.

Less effective vaccines are for the poor because the powerful pharmaceutical companies do not want to share their patents and allow countries, like India or South Africa, to manufacture them en masse at a lower cost for their neighbours and for themselves. Forbes magazine has several hundred new billionaires, especially more than 40 enriched thanks to COVID-19, including those at the head of vaccine production, such as Moderna and BioNTech. Now imagine if tomorrow there is the requirement of other additional doses or even new vaccines every year!

Jesus and the 'Sign of Jonah'

In a recent series of Online interactions with Truth-seekers from around the world, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius chose to respond to several questions, explaining the teachings and practice of Deen-e-Islam as well as certain momentous episodes from spiritual history for the benefit of those who were asking. In this context, reproduced below is one of the responses given by Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) to a sister in religion, Ms. Meryl Philips from United Kingdom, explaining the crucifixion of Jesus Christ from an Islamic perspective. 

Contrary to the irrational exaggerations and mythical Divinity claims preferred by people who claim to be his followers, the historical Jesus was a human being like any other human who lived and preached Gospel among his people, a reformer-servant of God among the people of Israel in historical Palestine. While much of his life is shrouded in the distance and unknowns of history, the essence of his truthfulness as well as the shadow of Divine Protection that helped him survive the scheming machinations and plots of his wily opponents is preserved to the benefit of all times, including through the Holy Qur’an which speaks about the trial of crucifixion: 

“And they (the persecutors of Jesus) planned (to crucify him) and Allah planned (to save him) and Allah is the best of planners.” (3:55) 

“They killed him not, nor did they cause his death by crucifixion, but he was made to them to resemble (one crucified to death. Verily, those who differ therein are certainly in (a state of) confusion about it. They have no definite knowledge of the matter but are only following a conjecture. They did not kill him. This much is certain (and thus could not prove the Christ as accursed). Rather Allah exalted him with all honour to His presence”. (4: 158-59)   

While Jewish tradition viewed death on the cross as an accursed imposter’s fate, Jesus himself predicted his escape from death on the cross saying, “As Jonah was three days and three nights in the whales’ belly, so shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of death”.  (Matt. 12: 40) The prophecy meant that like Jonah, Jesus would also survive the ‘grave’ trial and survive the attempt on his life. In this brief exposition on the crucifixion of Christ, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) marshals evidence from human mortality, and the sign of Jonah mentioned in the Bible to dispel mythical notions about Jesus prevailing among people in our times.

Coping with Grief and Loss

 

The Good Manners/ Deeds When Hearing About the Death of Someone 

Hearing the news of the death of a loved one is certainly not easy for anyone with its share of sadness and grief, in addition to the preparations for the funeral. Having the right reflexes is not always easy in such a situation. I put before you today eight good things to do in these difficult times when someone dies.

Speak Well of the Dead Person

When learning of someone’s death, it is recommended to speak well of that person about the actions he did for the pleasure of Allah. At the same time, one must avoid speaking “good” [so-called good things] about his actions which were not done for the pleasure of Allah [in other words, there are those types of people who speak badly of the actions of a deceased, and they pretend not to know that what they said was not correct. They will say that on the contrary they were saying “good” for the deceased]. 

For example, avoid saying, “What a good card player he was!” Or “This person sang well”. The actions of playing cards and singing [songs that have nothing to do with Islam] are both in themselves Haram (prohibited) actions. So, pretending to flatter the deceased that he was a good card player or a good singer, it is certainly not a good thing or an honour for the deceased. So we must avoid all of this. 

It is reported by Hazrat Anas (ra): “When passing near a funeral procession and hearing the men praising the deceased, the prophet (pbuh) said three times: ‘It is assured [for him]’ [That is to say, the praise on the good deeds of the deceased will have all their importance and honour before the eyes of Allah in his favour].

The Signs of the End of Times 

The signs of Qiyamat, both predicted by the founder of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), and also by way of divine revelations when I was preparing this sermon, are such words and happenings which, as per the revelations of Allah, despite already existed and known from before, yet their intensity will be much more grievous, much worse in this era than in the previous eras. People will take the Maal-e-Ghaneemat [spoils of war] and Amanat [trust] which are not theirs [i.e. they will take the wealth and properties of others] as their own. Some will consider the Zakaat as tax; others will learn religion only for this temporal world [only for grandeur and to benefit from the contributions of people who are contributing for religion] and they will take religion as a marketplace, as business for their own gain and to fill in their pockets. Now, we all know that this is what is exactly happening in the case of most politicians, those who make politics to garner grandeur, honour, to fill in their pockets – to spend away [waste] the money of the people – and all this is also happening in the realm of religion as well. 

The Signs of 'Qiyamah'

 

The Signs of the End of Times- 6 

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, I continue the 6^th part of my sermon today on this very important subject: “The Signs of the End of Times” - The Qiyamah and its signs, such signs which demonstrate that the Qiyamah is not too far and, is indeed close. 

This will be another great sign of Qiyamah - where the wrath of Allah is manifested - when the evildoers attack and assassinate the Amir-ul-Mumineen [Leader of the Believers]. The wrath of Allah will be upon these people. When that happens, there will be a terrible punishment that will fall from the sky; such a punishment that no one will have time to look at their own children and children will not have time to look at their own parents. 

Destiny on the ‘Bridge of Sirat’

All through history, Prophets and Sages appeared among nations calling people to the one and only God promising felicity in this life and the Gardens of Paradise in the world to come when they die and face God with the record of their deeds. “Every person’s deeds have We fastened firmly to his neck, and on the Day of Judgement We shall bring out for him a book which he will find wide open” (17:14).

Invariably, the Divine messengers also cautioned humanity against the trappings of the Satan- following in his footsteps without any moral restraints for mundane gains and glory will only invite the Fires of Hell in this world and on the Day of Reckoning: “Mutual rivalry in seeking worldly increase diverts you from God. Till you reach the graves. Nay! You will soon come to know. Nay again! You will soon come to know. Nay! If you only knew with certain knowledge, You will surely see Hell in this very life. Aye, you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. Then, on that day you shall be called to account about the worldly favours” (102: 2 - 9)    

Indeed, on the Day of Judgement, every human will face his deeds on the ground of gathering, Arz Al Mahshar.  When records speak and accounts settled on the basis of evidence by none other than Allah (swt), man will pass on the Bridge of Sirat to meet his awaited destiny. True believers, walking in the light of their pious good deeds, will become the dwellers of Paradise: “And think of the day when you will see the believing men and the believing women, their light running before them and on their right hands” (57:13)

On the other hand, the wrongdoers will have no Protective Friend, nor any help of light in that dungeon of darkness, in the way to the Valley of Hell: Like the Qur’an says: ‘On that Day, We shall seal their mouths. Their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness to that which they used to earn. And had We willed, We would have blotted out their eyes. Then they would race to Al -Sirat, yet how would they see?’ (36: 66- 67)

The Signs of 'Saa'at'- 5

 

Allah (swt) is Most Subtle, All Aware. He knows what lies in the breasts of humans in all that they say and do, whether they disclose their purpose publicly, or keep the intention, in  all secret. Allah (swt) rejects vain-glorious or vanity projects where boasting and earthly glory drive people into action, whereas Allah (swt) rewards pious works, those deeds executed solely for the purpose of seeking the approval and pleasure of Allah by respecting His Law as taught by the Prophet (sa) and following His deputies/Caliphs of Allah in every era.  

Along with showing the true Path of Life, profound Islamic teachings warn humanity against the tentacles of evil in all its manifestations in religious and secular life, especially in turbulent times when fluid conditions prevail in society, and blurring of lines are easier than ever before. That is why in seeking material riches, professional glory, societal eminence; man needs to keep in mind the true values of life as taught through Divine commandments. In the wider pursuit of pleasure and ecstacy in this world and the world to come,  he needs to be mindful of the Shariah, and discriminate between what is lawful and forbidden; while embracing what is Halal, keeping distance from the Haram. Indeed, Divine Law expects, man needs to keep all his deeds- as well as the intentions behind them- pure and lawful at all times.

The Signs of Holy Prophet (sa)

 

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, the month of Rabi’ul Awwal marks the month in which our beloved prophet Muhammad (pbuh) blessed this world with his physical and spiritual presence, such presence which would convert the world to the Religion of Allah. Alhamdulillah.

Books of Islamic history record many events which happened prior to, during and after the birth of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Visions were seen and miracles happened, not only in Pre-Islamic Arabia but also around the world. Today, for our Sirat-un-Nabi Programme, I would like to present you a few of these signs and miracles.

Celebrating 'Sirat-un-Nabi'

 

Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (sa), the holy founder of Islam and the greatest Prophet of all times,  left behind enduring teachings for the benefit of humankind for all times.  The Qur’an, and the sacred Prophetic Sunnah remain amongst us, to guide us from the darkness of selfish pleasures to the illumination of souls in remembrance of God. It is by striving to follow in the footsteps of the holy Prophet (sa) that true believers can lead a life that attracts the approval and pleasure of Allah (swt); a  balanced life that recognizes our duties to Allah (swt) and the responsibilities we owe to fellow human beings in society, pursuing goodness in this world and the world to come, Insha Allah.  

The Holy Prophet (sa) had penetrating insights into the future conditions of the world, especially of the events that will unfold among his people, the Muslims of the Later Days. A close reading of sacred Ahadith would leave no one in doubt about the fulfilment of those Prophetic words in the stark realities being obtained in our own times-in many different ways. While warning the Ummah about the times in which knowledge of Deen will be taken away from the society of the Muslims, it was also reassured that to renew the spiritual path of Islam, true heirs of the Holy Prophet (sa) would be raised by Allah (twt) Himself. Among the believers, it was foretold, there would be one or more savants of Faith- the pole stars of the Faith in morally-darkened times, and that these individuals and their followers would seek to revive and renew the values of Islam and Prophetic Aqidah in turbulent times.

The Day of 'Qiyamah'

اِنَّ السَّاعَۃَ لَاٰتِیَۃٌ لَّا رَیۡبَ فِیۡہَا وَ لٰکِنَّ 

اَکۡثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا یُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ

The Hour is certainly coming, there is no doubt about it. But most people do not believe. (Al-Mumin, 40: 60). 

Allah (twt) makes us understand that the Qiyamah [the Last Day / The Day of Judgement/ The End of the World] will certainly come, without a doubt, but many people do not believe it. Allah (twt) has fixed a special day to reward His believers for their good deeds and also to punish them for their evil deeds, and for His good servants, He will grant them the blessings of Paradise, while for those who have sinned, their retribution will be hell. This special day is called Qiyamah. 

Safeedah Varsallee (1931-2021)

“Every soul is certain to taste death: We test you all through the bad and the good, and to Us you will all return”- (21: 36). 

Earlier this week, explaining Divine revelations that were vouchsafed to him on human mortality and our journey to Allah from this world, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Al Muslemeen Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius noted in a special message to the Jamaat : 

'Allah (twt) has not granted life on this planet, on this earth without death to any human...no human being is immune from decay or death- not even the Holy Prophet (sa). Eternity and everlastingness are of God's own exclusive attributes....

(In death), the soul does not die but when it separates from the body, at the death of the body, the soul gets a taste of death in our life of probation on this earth...Our virtue and Faith are tested by many things. Some are tested by calamities and some by the good things of this life. If we prove our truth, we pass our probation with success. In any case, all must return to Allah (twt) and then will our life be apprised at its true value.'

Sayyidat-un-Nisa Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen Fazli Amena’s beloved mother, Mrs. Safeedah Varsallee, passed away,  at the age of 90 years, on Monday, 18 October 2021. Inna Lillahi Wa Innaaa Ilayhi Raajiunn. Surely to Allah we belong and to him shall we return. 

Divinely- Inspired Poems

 

On 15 October 2021; around 5.35 pm, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius, while being in a state of Zikr and Duah, was inspired by the Angels of God, to scribble down spiritually-infused poems and other noble messages. Being a recipient of Divine inspirations, Hazrat Saheb (aba) underwent much heaviness and pain in transmitting those exquisite poems in Urdu, and messages in English. Alhamdulillah, Allah (swt) bestowed upon him poems of practical wisdom and advice for the benefit of humanity, Summa Alhamdulillah.

The Signs of the End Times

You will all find, my brothers, sisters and children in Islam, as well as all my disciples of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and all mankind around the world, that by His grace, Allah (twt) has guided me in order to do a series of Friday Sermons on (the theme of) 'The Signs of the End of Times [the End of the World/ The Hour]'. It is under divine instruction that I address this subject in my Friday sermons, and today is part three of this sermon on 'The Signs of the End of Times [the End of the World/ The Hour]'. Allah (twt) alone really knows how many Friday Sermons will be focused - after guiding me under His instruction - on the subject. Insha-Allah. 

Before I begin, I would like to share with you some revelations that Allah revealed to me just before the Jummah [Friday prayer] today 08 October 2021 [at 12.15pm]: 

Wa anakh-tartuka fasta-milimaa yuuhaa.

I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed. 

Innas Saa-ata aatiyatun akaadu ukhfiihaa li-tujzaa kullu nafsim-bimaa tas-’aa.

The Hour is sure to come. My Will is to keep it hidden, so that every soul may be rewarded according to their efforts. 

Falaa yasuddannaka an-haa mallaa yuminu bihaa wattaba’a hawaahu fatardaa.

So do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires distract you from it, or you will be doomed. 

Li-nuriyaka min Aayaati-nal kubraa.

The Signs of 'Saa' at'- 2

In the changing contexts of humankind's material circumstances in every era, Divine messages of perennial wisdom and related prophecies find their fulfillment in different ways- especially in times when Allah (swt) raises a recipient of His revelations along with servants of Faith to fight against all manifestations of Evil and thereby uphold the true values of life.  In his Friday Sermon of 01 October 2021~23 Safar 1443 AH, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius continues the theme of previous week- elucidating on 'End Times' mentioned in sacred books of God: the Holy Qur'an, and the Ahadith, the Prophetic traditions. Drawing attention to the multiple layers of meanings attached to  the Divine messages and prophecies, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) lays down important considerations and principles that need to be appreciated in any engagement with the profound subject, and also cautions the Wise against the serious consequences of errors of interpretation. Speaking with the help of Rooh-il-Quddus, the living servant and Elect of God invites everyone to ponder over the larger Signs of our times: the devastating pandemics, and the many other types of turbulence and convulsions that grip and threaten to ravage the fortunes and lives of millions of people around the world.

The Signs of the End of Times

Allah says in the Holy Quran: “Say: None in the heavens or on earth, except Allah, knows what is hidden: nor can they perceive when they shall be raised up (for Judgement).” [Al-Naml, (27: 66) ] 

And Allah (swt) also says: “He (alone) knows the Unseen, and He does not make anyone acquainted with His Mysteries, except a messenger whom He has chosen.” [Al-Jinn, (72: 27-28) ].

The Keys of Divine Grace

 

‘He has the keys to the unseen: no one knows them but Him. He knows all that is in the land and sea. No leaf falls without His knowledge, nor is there a grain in the darkness of the earth, or anything, fresh or withered, that is not written in a clear Record’. (6:60)

There is not a thing whose storehouses are not with Us. We send it down only according to a well-defined measure’. (15:22)

‘To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. He enlarges the provision for whomsoever He pleases and straitens it for whomsoever He pleases. Surely, He knows all things full well’.  (42:13)

‘To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth; and as for those who disbelieve in the Signs of Allah, these it is who are the losers’. (39:64)

‘To Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth: but this truth the hypocrites cannot grasp’ (63:8) 

Through these verses and very many other verses, the Holy Qur’an calls attention to the ultimate sovereign authority and protective power of Allah, the Almighty over the heavens and the earth. He opens the treasuries of provisions, mercy, and knowledge on whoever He wills, and He withholds the same as He alone desires. Indeed, it is Allah Alone who possesses the power to bring blessings of this life- provisions, knowledge, honour and benefits- on anyone. Speaking of this grand Sustainer of the Worlds, Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian once wrote:
