Three Things to Do When We Reach the End of Times

‘There shall come a time upon my Ummah, upon my nation, upon the people who follow me, upon the people who believe in me, they call themselves Muslims and believers, when their prayers are not prayed correctly, and when high buildings spread in every place, when people swear in the name of Allah a lot about everything without fulfilling their oath.’ (Abu Dawud)

 

‘People curse each other a lot. Bribery and adultery prevails. People neglect the Hereafter in order to buy the luxuries of this world in exchange for the Hereafter; so people become materialistic.’

Towards the Construction of a New Life 

Today the mantra on the lips of the authorities and a section of the population of the world is: “It is imperative to be vaccinated.” But, the question arises: Where to find the vaccines? 

Rich or influential countries like Israel, have already reached rates of over 60%, or are getting there quickly, because they obtained them before the others, particularly the vaccines which are, according to them, the most effective. Some are starting to inoculate [i.e. vaccinate] those who are less at risk, such as their teenagers and even their [small] children. At the same time, in Africa, where less than 2% of the vaccine doses produced against COVID-19 is administered, even medical personnel do not have the opportunity to be vaccinated.

Less effective vaccines are for the poor because the powerful pharmaceutical companies do not want to share their patents and allow countries, like India or South Africa, to manufacture them en masse at a lower cost for their neighbours and for themselves. Forbes magazine has several hundred new billionaires, especially more than 40 enriched thanks to COVID-19, including those at the head of vaccine production, such as Moderna and BioNTech. Now imagine if tomorrow there is the requirement of other additional doses or even new vaccines every year!

The Signs of the End of Times 

The signs of Qiyamat, both predicted by the founder of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), and also by way of divine revelations when I was preparing this sermon, are such words and happenings which, as per the revelations of Allah, despite already existed and known from before, yet their intensity will be much more grievous, much worse in this era than in the previous eras. People will take the Maal-e-Ghaneemat [spoils of war] and Amanat [trust] which are not theirs [i.e. they will take the wealth and properties of others] as their own. Some will consider the Zakaat as tax; others will learn religion only for this temporal world [only for grandeur and to benefit from the contributions of people who are contributing for religion] and they will take religion as a marketplace, as business for their own gain and to fill in their pockets. Now, we all know that this is what is exactly happening in the case of most politicians, those who make politics to garner grandeur, honour, to fill in their pockets – to spend away [waste] the money of the people – and all this is also happening in the realm of religion as well.

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, I continue the 6^th part of my sermon today on this very important subject: “The Signs of the End of Times” - The Qiyamah and its signs, such signs which demonstrate that the Qiyamah is not too far and, is indeed close. 

This will be another great sign of Qiyamah - where the wrath of Allah is manifested - when the evildoers attack and assassinate the Amir-ul-Mumineen [Leader of the Believers]. The wrath of Allah will be upon these people. When that happens, there will be a terrible punishment that will fall from the sky; such a punishment that no one will have time to look at their own children and children will not have time to look at their own parents.

Allah (swt) is Most Subtle, All Aware. He knows what lies in the breasts of humans in all that they say and do, whether they disclose their purpose publicly, or keep the intention, in  all secret. Allah (swt) rejects vain-glorious or vanity projects where boasting and earthly glory drive people into action, whereas Allah (swt) rewards pious works, those deeds executed solely for the purpose of seeking the approval and pleasure of Allah by respecting His Law as taught by the Prophet (sa) and following His deputies/Caliphs of Allah in every era.  

Along with showing the true Path of Life, profound Islamic teachings warn humanity against the tentacles of evil in all its manifestations in religious and secular life, especially in turbulent times when fluid conditions prevail in society, and blurring of lines are easier than ever before. That is why in seeking material riches, professional glory, societal eminence; man needs to keep in mind the true values of life as taught through Divine commandments. In the wider pursuit of pleasure and ecstacy in this world and the world to come,  he needs to be mindful of the Shariah, and discriminate between what is lawful and forbidden; while embracing what is Halal, keeping distance from the Haram. Indeed, Divine Law expects, man needs to keep all his deeds- as well as the intentions behind them- pure and lawful at all times.

The Signs of the End Times

You will all find, my brothers, sisters and children in Islam, as well as all my disciples of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and all mankind around the world, that by His grace, Allah (twt) has guided me in order to do a series of Friday Sermons on (the theme of) 'The Signs of the End of Times [the End of the World/ The Hour]'. It is under divine instruction that I address this subject in my Friday sermons, and today is part three of this sermon on 'The Signs of the End of Times [the End of the World/ The Hour]'. Allah (twt) alone really knows how many Friday Sermons will be focused - after guiding me under His instruction - on the subject. Insha-Allah. 

Before I begin, I would like to share with you some revelations that Allah revealed to me just before the Jummah [Friday prayer] today 08 October 2021 [at 12.15pm]: 

Wa anakh-tartuka fasta-milimaa yuuhaa.

I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed. 

Innas Saa-ata aatiyatun akaadu ukhfiihaa li-tujzaa kullu nafsim-bimaa tas-’aa.

The Hour is sure to come. My Will is to keep it hidden, so that every soul may be rewarded according to their efforts. 

Falaa yasuddannaka an-haa mallaa yuminu bihaa wattaba’a hawaahu fatardaa.

So do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires distract you from it, or you will be doomed. 

Li-nuriyaka min Aayaati-nal kubraa.

We do this to show you some of Our greatest signs. 

Allah (twt) also revealed to me [while I was preparing this sermon]: « Ya Khalifatullah Qoul inni lakum Naziirum-Mubiin. » [O Khalifatullah! Say: I have come [to you] to give you a clear warning].

In the changing contexts of humankind's material circumstances in every era, Divine messages of perennial wisdom and related prophecies find their fulfillment in different ways- especially in times when Allah (swt) raises a recipient of His revelations along with servants of Faith to fight against all manifestations of Evil and thereby uphold the true values of life.  In his Friday Sermon of 01 October 2021~23 Safar 1443 AH, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius continues the theme of previous week- elucidating on 'End Times' mentioned in sacred books of God: the Holy Qur'an, and the Ahadith, the Prophetic traditions. Drawing attention to the multiple layers of meanings attached to  the Divine messages and prophecies, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) lays down important considerations and principles that need to be appreciated in any engagement with the profound subject, and also cautions the Wise against the serious consequences of errors of interpretation. Speaking with the help of Rooh-il-Quddus, the living servant and Elect of God invites everyone to ponder over the larger Signs of our times: the devastating pandemics, and the many other types of turbulence and convulsions that grip and threaten to ravage the fortunes and lives of millions of people around the world.

The Signs of the End of Times

Allah says in the Holy Quran: “Say: None in the heavens or on earth, except Allah, knows what is hidden: nor can they perceive when they shall be raised up (for Judgement).” [Al-Naml, (27: 66) ] 

And Allah (swt) also says: “He (alone) knows the Unseen, and He does not make anyone acquainted with His Mysteries, except a messenger whom He has chosen.” [Al-Jinn, (72: 27-28) ].

On the Signs of the End of Times- I

 

فَہَلۡ یَنۡظُرُوۡنَ اِلَّا السَّاعَۃَ اَنۡ تَاۡتِیَہُمۡ بَغۡتَۃً ۚ فَقَدۡ جَآءَ اَشۡرَاطُہَا ۚ فَاَنّٰی لَہُمۡ اِذَا جَآءَتۡہُمۡ ذِکۡرٰٮہُمۡ 

“Do they then only wait for the Hour - that it should upon them unawares? But already have come some tokens thereof, and when it (actually) is on them, how can they benefit then by their admonition?” (Muhammad 47: 19) 

The Qur’an is the only book of its kind that is not limited to a time or a place; having been revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) more than fourteen centuries ago, and being also the word of the Eternal God, the Qur’an is eternally true. 

Thus, the appearance of the signs of the Hour - the end of the world - which it [i.e. the Qur’an] evokes in this verse has been true throughout these fourteen centuries, is still true today, and will always be so until the end of the world. Indeed, yesterday [in a manner of speaking] it was the very coming of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) which constituted one of these signs, then it was his death, then the confrontation of the believers in Siffin, the appearance of the terrible fire in Hijaz, the Mongol invasions, etc. Today it is the profusion of money and goods, the construction of tall buildings, drug dealings to get richer. Indeed the scourges of drugs are ravaging. Several people, thousands of young people (boys and girls) fall into drugs and the merchants of death multiply their wealth on the corpses of these young people, or even the disintegration of the family unit.
