Ramadan: Dreams and Visions- I

Ramadan is a special month in the devotional calendar of the Muslim. This month of fasting is characterized by an atmosphere of spiritual contemplations, special invocations and other supererogatory acts of worship and remembrance of God whereby the Muslim seeks nearness to his/her Lord. Members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in India have reported several pure dreams and pious visions of a mystical nature that clearly points to Divine Light and Pleasure on the Jamaat of Allah (twt) in this blessed month of Ramadan, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

Reproduced below is a remarkable description of certain mystical experiences that took place on Saturday, 01 April 2023 & again, on Sunday 02 April 2023 after 9 pm during Taraweeh prayer- reported by our dear brother Muhammad Sabir Saheb of Palakkad (Kerala) on behalf of his pious and humble wife, Mubeena Sabir Saheba:

A Kashf on ‘Divine Hug’

True devotees are a sign of Living Faith. Love of God drives them to respect and act upon Divine commands and prohibitions as they should be. For instance, they offer regular prayers at specified times of the day; they recite the Holy Qur’an at dawn. Moreover, they sincerely engage in remembrance of God all the time. In the pure quest for the grand favour and blessings of Divine nearness, they even wake up at night and pray as an extra offering of their own: in the long hours of the night prostrating before God and weeping in supplication, nurturing their souls even in a state of exhaustion. Like the Holy Qur’an notes, Allah Himself indicates the standards of readiness and rewards of sincerity:

‘O you who are bearing a heavy responsibility, stand up in Prayer at night except a small portion thereof—Half of it, or make it a little less than that, or make it a little more than that—and recite the Qur’an slowly and thoughtfully.’ [73: 2-5].

‘O Ye who believe! Offer Tahajjud prayer in the latter part of the night. It may be that your Lord will raise you to a highly praised status.’ (17: 80)

True devotion to God, or Divine Love, has beneficial consequences for the believer when God gazes at the heart of the sincere soul with forgiveness, mercy, kindness and indulgence. A famous Hadith-e-Qudsi reads as follows:

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (ra) narrates that the Holy Prophet (sa) said: “Allah the Almighty says … ‘My servant can be close to Me through the things that I love and that I made obligatory upon him. By offering Nawafil, My servant gets so close to Me that I start loving him. When I make him a friend of Mine, I become the ears with which he hears, the eyes with which he sees, the hands with which he holds and the feet with which he walks. Thus, I fulfil all that he desires. If he begs of Me, I provide for him; if he seeks My protection, I grant him protection. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Kitabul Riqaq, Bab-ul-Tawazu)

Indeed, the pious men and women who are steeped in Divine waters and absorb themselves in Divine remembrance and sublime invocations- the special servants and friends of God; it is they who are blessed to partake in the subtle mysteries of this universe, and special signs of Divine nearness appear in and among their circle. Indeed, at the highest levels of this mystical journey, the believer will become alone with the Alone, almost 'lose' himself in God. With such depths of Faith in a Divinely-imbued servant, the blessings of the Islamic Way will be demonstrated- it is  as if the heaven and the earth are renewed through his presence and work for the sake of Allah (swt) as the new ‘Adam’, the ‘Khalifatullah’ of the era.

Today, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International with a Divinely-appointed ‘Khalifatullah’ [who speaks with the help of ‘Roohul Qudus’ at the head of the Jamaat] strives for the creation of a new heaven and earth; in its own humble and sincere way of pure devotion and submission to the Will and Decision of Allah (swt), it is a stunning example of the kind of Divine Manifestations that have had been witnessed through the centuries in different lands, with the advent of prophets and messengers and saints of God who strove to uphold the pristine truth about God through a correct appreciation of the eternal teachings of Faith, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

Reproduced Below is a mystical experience of special Divine Nearness reported by none other than our Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian [1835-1908] in the previous era- at a time when Allah (swt) raised him as the commissioned one of the age to demonstrate the blessings and favours of the living religion of Islam:

'Kashf': Vision of 11 November 2022

In the Islamic mystical tradition, Kashf  [unveiling] is a spiritual concept dealing with the Divinely-bestowed knowledge of the Illumined Heart. Kashf describes the state of experiencing a personal Divine revelation after ascending through spiritual struggles, and uncovering the spiritual faculty of heart in order to allow Divine truths to pour into it. Kashf is etymologically related to mukashafa ‘Divine disclosure’. It connotes the purified heart ‘gaining familiarity with things Unseen behind the veils. For those who have purified their hearts, and who come to know the Divine Names and Attributes to the fullest of their individual capacities, the veils in front of the purely spiritual realms are opened slightly, and they begin to gain familiarity with the Unseen. Indeed, the Divine mysteries become readily apparent to the sincere seeker through the light of knowledge of God. This is called ‘Tajalli-at-Ilaahi’ [Divine manifestation’].

The holy men and women [saints] of Islam, who lived in the centuries after the Holy Prophet (sa), became guiding poles of the religion as they preserved the living spirit of the Faith by renewing his spiritual model and example. Through fervent remembrance of God,  prayer and invocations, they sought to clean their hearts for Divine Mercy and special illumination. It is through the Divine Manifestations vouchsafed to such purified individuals that the rejuvenation of Islam took place in dark times. In our times, Hazrat Imam Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba), the Holy Founder of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Al Muslemeen of Mauritius, and the supreme head of the Jamaat-Ul Sahih Al Islam International, is such a purified soul who is graced with Divine Mercy and is bestowed with many mystical experiences of Divine illuminations over the last two decades. By the immense grace of Allah, the revelations, spiritual visions and Bashaarat being bestowed on Hazrat Saheb (aba) directly point to the enduring light of the Qur'an, Subhaan Allah, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, Allah-u-Akbar!

'Dawa' and the Renewal of Islam

Islam stands for Tawheed, the uncompromising belief in the Lordship of a Unique God who is the controller of all affairs in all the worlds. True faith in the Lord Almighty is reflected in good deeds- actions that stand to benefit all of His creations in this world. Hence, Islam expects the Muslim to accomplish the worship of Allah by serving humanity; standing up for the truth; establishing justice by fighting against evil; promoting goodness in society by caring and sharing life's blessings with the less fortunate, and thereby help creating a social order of equity and balance.

In a world riven by competition, and conflicts over mundane resources and other material interests among different groups splintered on diverging identities; the Muslim Ummah everywhere also face these profound structural and existential conditions of societies today. Whereas Allah (swt) has willed the diversity of His creation as a grand Sign of His Unicity, and to test the true mettle of the humans who inhabit this world, the real challenge and larger task of the Muslims in every era is to become a beacon of divine light and spiritual hope. In a morally- darkened world of egoistic passions of jealousy, hatred and arrogance; creating an alternative social order is indeed a heavy responsibility: a world inspired by faith in God and the higher values of life and fostered by true piety and goodwill for everyone.

Recently, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius launched a very important initiative for the religious education and spiritual training of the Jamaat members in Kerala, India, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah. While announcing the establishment of the Dawa Academy in the region, and also entrusting the coordination of administrative responsibilities among members, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) urged the believers to arise and diligently and patiently strive to create a just world under Islam. In this context, Hazrat Saheb (aba) shared with everyone some of the Divine revelations and visions he received as early as April 2004 during the early days of the Divine Manifestation, in the times of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Al Muslemeen.  The revelations and spiritual visions, between them, contain a deep and profound message of wisdom for the resurgence of the true spirit of Islam among the Muslim peoples in this era. May Allah (swt) grant everyone the blessing of comprehending the ways of attracting Divine pleasure and the benefits of harmony and unity, true faith and patient striving in spiritual and temporal life, Insha Allah, Aameen

Divine Signs: A Memoir

[The world of Islam earnestly hopes for the advent of a Divine Elect in the End Times- the Days of Satanic Mischief. All Muslims agree that Allah (swt), in His infinite Wisdom and Mercy for mankind, could and would raise a Khalifatullah to reinforce His original message taught through countless Prophets in the past. Just like the arrival of an Elect of God in the person of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian (1835-1908) rejuvenated the ranks of the Muslims in the last century, Islam as taught by the Holy Prophet (sa) and his spiritual Khulafa over the previous centuries also calls for spiritual renewal in the present century. Indeed, it is this pious spiritual hope of Islam that is redeemed through the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius- the advent of a Divine Elect- Hazrat Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) of Mauritius- in the beginning years of the new millennium- 2000-01, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

Whenever a servant of the Gracious Lord appears on the spiritual horizon, there are the Signs that clearly point to such a Divine appointment- a study of which will certainly strengthen the faith of the believer, and plausibly benefit the people in general, if truth is indeed what they are seeking when they study these Divine Signs. Speaking about the Signs of an Elect of God or the advent of a Divine Manifestation among the people in a new era, Hazrat Massih Maoud (as) made certain prescient observations in one of his books on the larger theme:

“...when the Imam of the age appears in the world, thousands upon thousands of lights accompany him and heaven is filled with joy. With the dissemination of spirituality and light, the right potentialities become alive. Anyone who has the capacity begins to experience a series of revelations. And anyone who has the capacity to pronounce judgement in matters of faith by the use of reason and reflection, his ability is enhanced. Anyone who has the inclination towards prayers is granted pleasure in his worship. Anyone who is engaged in debates with other faiths is given the power to argue and arrive at incontrovertible conclusions. All these blessings are in fact the outcome of the spiritual radiation which comes with the Imam of the age and descends upon the heart of every ready and eager person. This is a general law and a Divine practice, to which we have been guided by the Holy Quran and authentic Hadith, and our personal experience have testified to it.

The age of the Promised Messiah(as), however, has even greater distinction in that it is recorded in the books of earlier Prophets and Hadith of the Holy Prophet(sa) that, at the time of his advent, this radiation of spirituality will become so universal that women too will begin to receive revelations, minors will make prophecies, and ordinary people will be inspired by the Holy Spirit. All this will be a reflection of the spirituality of the Promised Messiah(as)... all revelational light is a reflection of the light of the Imam of the age...”  [Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, Darurat-ul-Imam: The need for the Imam, pp.6-7,  English edn; London: Islam International Publications Ltd, (2007).

Destiny on the ‘Bridge of Sirat’

All through history, Prophets and Sages appeared among nations calling people to the one and only God promising felicity in this life and the Gardens of Paradise in the world to come when they die and face God with the record of their deeds. “Every person’s deeds have We fastened firmly to his neck, and on the Day of Judgement We shall bring out for him a book which he will find wide open” (17:14).

Invariably, the Divine messengers also cautioned humanity against the trappings of the Satan- following in his footsteps without any moral restraints for mundane gains and glory will only invite the Fires of Hell in this world and on the Day of Reckoning: “Mutual rivalry in seeking worldly increase diverts you from God. Till you reach the graves. Nay! You will soon come to know. Nay again! You will soon come to know. Nay! If you only knew with certain knowledge, You will surely see Hell in this very life. Aye, you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. Then, on that day you shall be called to account about the worldly favours (102: 2 - 9)

Indeed, on the Day of Judgement, every human will face his deeds on the ground of gathering, Arz Al Mahshar.  When records speak and accounts settled on the basis of evidence by none other than Allah (swt), man will pass on the Bridge of Sirat to meet his awaited destiny. True believers, walking in the light of their pious good deeds, will become the dwellers of Paradise: “And think of the day when you will see the believing men and the believing women, their light running before them and on their right hands” (57:13)

On the other hand, the wrongdoers will have no Protective Friend, nor any help of light in that dungeon of darkness, in the way to the Valley of Hell: Like the Qur’an says: ‘On that Day, We shall seal their mouths. Their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will bear witness to that which they used to earn. And had We willed, We would have blotted out their eyes. Then they would race to Al -Sirat, yet how would they see?’ (36: 66- 67)

‘Kashaf’: A Spiritual Vision

Truth-seekers in every religion await the appearance of a Divinely-inspired soul in the End-Times. Indeed, devout Muslims are reading sacred Prophetic traditions concerning the appearance of a Khalifatullah and Imam Al Mahdi in this era as the second coming of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), and they are searching for Signs of the advent of a Divinely-infused spiritual soul and his Islamic mission- to save humanity from the clutches of Evil, and to guide believers in the Path of God in these morally-darkened times.

In this context, we present here, for the attention and benefit of all truth seekers, a spiritual vision (Kashaf) experienced by one of our sisters, Fatema Jasmine Saheba, a respected member of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in Tamil Nadu (India), while performing Salat-ul-Isha on Thursday, 02 September 2021~24 Muharram 1443 AH.

This Kashaf is noteworthy for the profound themes it contains, especially as it clearly points to the grand Divine Message and chosen Messenger for this era, and the special spiritual relationship between Holy Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (sa), and his Khalifa and Imam of this era- Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) of Mauritius. This spiritual vision is an important Divine Sign pointing to the larger obligations of Faith on all believers to fervently invoke Allah (swt) in support of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) in his profound Divine Mission of battling Shaitan in all its manifestations, by joining the ‘army’ of the Khalifatullah (aba) in establishing Tawheed on earth, Insha Allah, Aameen.

We present now the text of the Kashaf  shared by Jasmine Saheba:

'Duah': Invocations to Allah- IV

It is purely by the grace of Allah that I continue my sermon on the subject of duahs today. Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah. And it is purely by His grace that He confirms my truthfulness and consolidates the faith (Iman) of my disciples whereby He gives them inspirations, dreams, visions and revelations.

Alhamdulillah, within the framework of these series of Friday Sermons that I have been presenting on the subject of duahs, Allah has manifested in many ways to my disciples to show them the value of duahs and also to strengthen their faith in the Divine Manifestation of this century.

Last Friday July 24, 2020, a very important spiritual event took place when my dear disciple Naib Amir Saleem Sahib from Tamil Nadu was reciting the Friday Sermon and he was reading the Friday Sermon that I had given on July 17, 2020 on the subject of duahs.

During the Friday Sermon, his wife Fatima Jasmine Sahiba saw in a state of vision (Kashaf) an imposing figure who was standing exactly behind Saleem Sahib. He was very tall with a lot of hair on his head. Jasmine Sahiba was very surprised to see him, but this being was very pleasant. Then she felt her soul (Ruh) asking this being: “Who are you?” He replied to her: “Allah sent me. I am a Malaq (angel) whom Allah sent to protect you all.”

So she was very amazed by this and her son shook her and then she no longer saw the angel. She believed that was her imagination. But after that, she heard that voice once more saying the same thing to her. So, she was reassured that all that she experienced was not her imagination. Afterwards, her children also reported that they too saw the angel. Alhamdulillah. It was a very great spiritual experience that they had. Masha-Allah. Allahu Akbar…

In truth, Allah’s promise is always true. I have always pleaded with Allah to grant His protection to all my sincere followers, who have strong faith (Iman) in Allah and His Khalifatullah of this century. May Allah continue to manifest Himself to give courage and strengthen the faith of my dear disciples and ensure that they do not lose heart in difficult times, and that they always thank Him, whether in times of difficulty, and moments of joy too.

Divine Revelations of 08 February 2020

Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim

Today, Saturday, 08 February 2020 at 17.10 pm, I was performing lots of supplications in my office so that God, the Almighty may guide me to combat the enemies of Islam, of Sahih al Islam and their plots to humiliate and to put an end to the spiritual mission of the Khalifatullah. After some time I entered in a Kashaf (vision) where my Creator, by His infinite Grace, showed me their secret plots in all fields. This is because they are seeing the progress of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam. Meanwhile, I felt a different kind of pain which was great and unbearable.

Allah revealed the following to me:

    1. “God is with me. Woe to those who want to destroy me… And know, O people, that the One who will be faithful till the end is by my side. Even if all men and women, the young and the old, the children and the adults – till wear and tear and total paralysis of their body by their prostrations – come all together to pray for my destruction, God will never listen to their supplications; It will be like this for eternity.”

    2. “To suffer in the cause of Allah is a sacred duty.”

   3. “If you prove yourself constant in the cause of Allah, at all times, I shall be with you. You will see ME and I will manifest Myself to you.”

'Eid-ul-Fitr' Sermon 2019

WHAT IS EID-UL-FITR ?

Here we are gathered again by the grace of Allah for a new Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.

The word ‘Fitr’ means breaking the fast. It is from the same source that the term ‘iftar’ is also derived. Eid-ul-Fitr means the festival celebrated at the end of the fast of Ramadan. After a month of fasting, Shariah calls for a day of joy. A day when it is imperative to eat and be joyous. Fasting on this day is forbidden. (Bukhari).

It’s a moment to share love in serenity with family and friends. This is the moment when the family gathers around a table to share the symbolic breakfast that distinguishes the day of Eid from the usual days. It is reported that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) ate some dates of an odd number before going out to offer the Eid Salat.

At the time of the Prophet (pbuh), Eid was synonymous with unparalleled enthusiasm and gaiety. In fact, Eid’s days are the only festivals that Muslims can celebrate. Note that Eid is celebrated with an extra Salat. So a Muslim celebrates with more prayer thanking his Lord for all the favours He has poured upon him. It’s time to fraternize, to show generosity and to forgive. With a pure heart [upon returning from Eid prayer], we come home to spend the rest of the day with our family.

'Laylatul Qadr': Unveiling Holy Mysteries

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. Surely We revealed it on the Night of Majesty; And what will make you understand what the Night of Majesty is? The Night of Majesty is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by the permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” (Al-Qadr 97: 1-6).

One day the Holy Prophet Hadhrat Muhammad (pbuh) related the life of a saintly person who was called Shamsoon (ra) who lived among the Bani Israel. He had done acts of worship of all kinds and holy war for a period of a 1000 months. Listening to this story, a Sahabi (companion) pointed out to the Holy Prophet (pbuh) that the longevity of his Ummah (community) is shorter than that of Hadhrat Shamsoon (ra). The Sahabi also pointed out that one cannot do the same amount of Ibadat (acts of worship) as Hadhrat Shamsoon (ra). It was at this time that Hadhrat Jibra’il (as) appeared and recited the Surah Al-Qadr (Decree).

The Benefits of the Night of  Decree

According to Hadhrat Abu Huraira (ra) and other Hadith narrators, during the night of Qadr (Laylatul Qadr), innumerable angels descend on earth and because of this, the gates of heaven are opened. At that moment, the lights shine, the special manifestations occur, the celestial world is unveiled. People can then contemplate it in varying degrees (depending on their ability / the spiritual level which they reached and the degree of their faith - Iman).

Mystical Journeying: 'Isra' and 'Mi'raj'

'..Before concluding my sermon, I would also like to say a few words about the Isra and Mi'raj of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). It was indeed two of the most important visions and communications that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) received from God the Almighty, for it was during one of those spiritual - and not physical - journeys that Allah ordered Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) and his Ummah (his community) to worship (Salat) five times a day.

Importance must be given to these blessed days, not because the Holy Prophet (pbuh) made “physical” journeys to heaven, but because all communication between Allah and His Messenger was and will always be special. These experiences were purely spiritual, lived by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in a state between awakening and sleep, called
“Kashf” (vision).

Keep in mind that man can never rise to the Pleiades physically, even if he tastes the final death. His corpse remains on earth, while the soul goes back where it is destined to go.

When the unbelievers had asked the Holy Prophet (pbuh) to go up to heaven and bring them a book, here is the answer he gave them: “Am I not only a human-messenger?” (Al-Isra 17: 94)

The “Kashf” is not a definitive death. The soul is spiritually awake and connected to God through His revelation and Divine Force that draws him to Him and to a world of temporary spiritual well-being. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) lived the most perfect “Kashf” because Allah made him cross the seven heavens to meet Him in an intimate and loving way.

The night of 27 Rajab: Isra and Miraj

The night of 27 Rajab: Isra and Miraj

And also, like you know, tonight is the 27 Rajab and thus before closing my sermon I will say a few words on it. On the night of 27 Rajab, occurred what is known as the Isra and Miraj (the spiritual journey and ascension to the heavens) which the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) experienced. And according to the Hadith and other anecdotes of Islam it is a 27 Rajab that our beloved prophet (pbuh) made a night journey to Mecca and Jerusalem and later on to the heavens. It is baffling that many Muslims still think that the journey was a physical one, when verily it was a spiritual one. This is one of the reasons why they still believe that Jesus, Hazrat Isa (as) is still physically alive in the heavens and can come down with his body of clay back on earth. This provides them a consolation that this is possible as they believe that the journey of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was a physical one.

Prophets of Allah usually speak in parables. Parables are but ways of the chosen ones of Allah to illustrate situations so that they may better understand them, but rather than understanding them, and implement them as and when they apply, people misunderstand those parables and take them literally rather than metaphorically.

Someone who really experienced the state of Kashaf (vision) may better understand the state that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was when Allah granted him the vision. Despite the fact that the degree of this prophetic Kashaf was a much of a higher level than any other Kashafs which other people may witness, including those of the past prophets, but only what is clear in this case is that Allah only takes the soul of His servants who are alive only by both the state of sleep and consciousness which we call vision (Kashaf).
