Miracles of 'Tawheed'

The Duahs of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) & The Promise of Allah- Part 1

If today we are Muslims, and we have received the names and titles of Muslims, it is only through Allah and His greatest, most honourable and most perfect prophet [from among all Messengers and Prophets] Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). He was someone who preferred to sacrifice worldly pleasures for the greatest pleasure, i.e. the spiritual pleasure which is eternal. And the meaning of this spiritual pleasure is to acquire the love of Allah and His approval and mercy. So, through his sacrifices, obedience, goodness, and following the divine instructions he received, he (pbuh) has secured a reserved and most honourable place for him in the “heart” and “sight” of Allah.

That great personality who is the most perfect of all law-bearing and non-law-bearing prophets is none but Muhammad (pbuh). He was born in Arabia at a time when Arabia and the rest of the world were plunged into the darkness of infidelity to Allah. Idolatry was rampant and caused havoc everywhere. It was him, a very humble and weak human who was moreover an orphan – of both mother and father – from his early childhood, who enabled a great spiritual revolution in the world, not just in Arabia.

Bear in mind that Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) did not let himself be attracted by gold and silver, by the superficial riches of this world. He preferred sacrificing for His Ummah so that they [i.e. all of us, his followers] may harvest the good of the hereafter as well as the pleasure of Allah when they [we, Muslims] follow in his footsteps.

15 Years of Divine Manifestation

On this festive day of New Year 2016, I offer a prayer to the Creator of the universe for all mankind:

“O my God,
You were with us and You strove for us even before we do so with ourselves; also be with us since we are as You were with us even before our existence!
Clothe us with Benevolence (Lutfika) and come to us with Your love (Atfika) and Your Majesty (Janaabika).
Bring out of our heart the darkness of self-will and let shine in our secret (Sirr) the light of surrender to You!
Make us contemplate the excellence of Your choices so that what You demand and what You choose for us may become more beloved to us than the choices we could possibly make for ourselves. Ameen!”

Today January 1, it’s been 15 years since the late 4th Caliph of the Ahmadiyya movement based himself on a report of hatred and jealousy of his ex so-called Amir to believe that two people were creating fitna (disorder) in the Ahmadiyya movement in Mauritius and that the system of Khilafat (Caliphate) was in danger. And then, without listening to our version mainly on divine revelation which I was receiving at the time, the fourth Caliph with such arrogance humiliated us and expelled from the Nizam-e-Jamaat (administration of the Jamaat) and in addition to that, he had not hesitated to send a curse (Lannat) on us, predicting our end. He qualified this end as a tragic and horrible end; that we would have a fearful destiny.

As Allah told me afterwards, it was a Mubahila - a wish/ prayer for our misfortune and our end – which the fourth caliph had done, from the tone of his writings which he dictated through the Additional Vakilut-Tabshir Majid Tahir. In a vision (Kashf), Allah (swt) made it very clear to me that it was indeed a Mubahila which the fourth Caliph had done and I saw the Hand of Allah crush the letter (of Mubahila) in question and throw it in the dustbin. The 4th Caliph had not realized his mistake and had failed to control his ego, and then with all his arrogance, he told us to go and form our separate Jamaat, and that when two people will go this shall not make the weight against the millions of people who will join the Ahmadiyya movement.

Huzur (atba) said that recently an Ahmadi told him that they (the Ahmadis of Mauritius) needed him (meaning that he is a vital asset for the Jamaat of the Promised Messiah), and to return to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association. Huzur (atba) said that he never left the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association. It was never his wish to do so.

Indeed, it was those at the head who plotted to expel him from the Jamaat, the Nizam-e-Jamaat. Indeed, see how the plan of Allah unfolded. The 4th Caliph “ordained” the both of them (that is, Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (atba) and Zafrullah Domun Saheb) to go form their own separate Jamaat. In a way, they both obeyed the Khalifat-ul-Massih; it is them who showed obedience whilst the other Ahmadis are still showing themselves disobedient. All in all, the will of Allah prevailed in all circumstances.

Reclaiming Islam's Pristine Essence

By the grace of Allah, nowadays people in the four corners of the world are lending positive ears, that is, listening carefully and acknowledging the message of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam.

Allah (swt) chose us to transmit the divine message, the same message which was given to Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). As our noble master and prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) is no more today, but nevertheless Allah (swt) has provided ways and means for His message to be transmitted in our present time in a way to connect both eras.

Who are those people who are capable of spreading this message?

It is verily those who possess the characteristics of the founder of Islam and the Seal of all Prophets (pbuh) who are the one who shall be able to carry on this message with the express commandment of Allah and the blessings of the Ruh-il-Quddus. In other words, they have to possess the same behaviours and willingness as those of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) to execute that great divine plan. These characteristics have been described from the Holy Quran itself as follows:

a)      Yatloo alayhim Ayaatihi:  that is, the one who reads the verses of the Holy Quran and explains them to others.

b)     Wa yuzakkiihim: that is, when he reads these verses, he purifies the hearts of people and converts them in the good sense.

c)      Wa yu’allimahum Kitaaba: that is, he teaches people the Holy Quran.

d)     Wa Hikma: that is, and he teaches people also the Wisdom.

There are numerous people who have accepted the message of Allah but they are not convinced. Some have accepted the message of Allah with good hearts and want to do good deeds, but they don’t know what to do exactly and how to do them.

Hence, it’s the Taleem-ul-Kitaab which explains what pleases Allah and what displeases Him. It’s very important for all of us to acquire knowledge and its BEST SOURCE is from the Holy Quran. And moreover, to have the best explanation of its verses, we all need the Best Lecturer, one who is Divinely-Guided and possesses Taqwa, fear of Allah in his heart.

Khalifatul Massih V as "Ummati Nabi" ?

The Promised Messiah (as) received the status of Ummati Nabi (subordinate prophet) and of Khatam-ul-Khulafa (Seal of the Caliphs). It’s true that it is only in the Jamaat of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) that Allah (swt) will raise subordinate (Ummati) prophets. How will we know how Allah (swt) shall choose this kind of subordinate prophet, His prophet?

It is of course, through DIVINE REVELATION and not through the tongues of man (i.e. elected by man) that this humble servant of Allah shall have to proclaim himself officially, affirming that Allah alone has raised him as Ummati Nabi and after his death, well-guided Khulafa shall take over his mission. But as it is Sunnat Allah (the way of Allah), whenever the situation deteriorates and the divine teachings are trampled to dust, and dynasties take over, definitely Allah will raise His very own Khalifa (without the help and election of any creature) in the same Jamaat of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) and in the Ummah of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) as His prophet (an Ummati Nabi) and having the same titles and grades as the Promised Messiah (as) in that which he also shall be a Khatam-ul-khulafa, i.e. all other subordinate prophets after him shall be from his own Jamaat and identity.

Indeed years and years have gone by and I am curious to know if the Khalifat-ul-Massih Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has proclaimed himself officially to the status of Ummati Nabi and Khatam-ul-Khulafa in this era?

Hence Allah (swt) has taught us in various verses of the Holy Quran, for example: in Surah Al-Anam:

“O you assembly of jinn and mankind! Did not there come to you messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours?” They will say: “We bear witness against ourselves”. It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. (6: 131)

The prophets (Nabiyyuun) come to bring back the glory and true value of the divine instructions to humankind so as to enable them to pave their way towards spirituality which they have completely forgotten or which they have trampled to dust. A prophet’s (God’s chosen one) duty is to bring people of all nations throughout the whole world back to the Tawheed (unity of God) and convince them that the day is coming soon that they shall have to present themselves in front of Allah (swt). The Holy Quran has clearly explained this to us that whenever the religious leaders started being corrupted and they wanted people to give them much more importance than Allah, the Sovereign of all worlds, behaving as if they are gods on earth, therefore Allah sees the need to send His very own Khalifa (representative). For example Allah (swt) says in the Holy Quran:

“And surely, many do lead mankind astray by their own desires through lack of knowledge. Certainly your Lord knows best the transgressors.” (6: 120)

“They look their rabbis and their monks and Jesus, son of Mary to be their Lords besides Allah. (9: 31)

Many people are led astray by their honouring their chiefs to the rank of God, taking them as their idols. These people follow only the instructions coming from their idols, their leaders even if these instructions are clearly contrary to the divine commandments. Hence, this situation will never be corrected unless divine revelation comes to clear out the misunderstandings and wrong interpretations of the Book of Allah and the writings of His Messengers. Alas, these chiefs mislead the people just to satisfy their personal desires and thirst for power. These chiefs are not like those whom Allah have safeguarded and honoured to the status of Ummati Nabi and Khatam-ul-KhulafaIndeed, these chiefs are devoid of divine guidance and revelation coming from Allah. And whenever the subordinate non-law bearing prophets come to guide them to the right path, they turn a deaf ear to his call and label him a madman and liar.

The Theology of Ahmadiyya ‘Khilafat’

Today, the "mainstream" Nizam-e-Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya is guilty of gross exaggeration of their assembly-selected leadership known as the office of "Khalifatul Massih". The 'deification' of 'Khilafat' in general and that of the reigning 'Khalifa' of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya is of stunning proportions. So much so that anyone who is familiar with the community would be astonished with the perceptional transformation on spiritual questions achieved by the 'Ahmadi' leaders and scholars for themselves.

The theological engineering done by Ahmadi Ulema to exaggerate the importance of the office of "Khalifatul Massih" is apparent for discerning observers. Consider the Arabic term “Khalifa”. It is generally translated as ‘vicegerent’ or ‘deputy’. The basic meaning of 'khalifa' is ‘successor’In the Holy Qur’an, one can see several verses that speak about generations and individuals who are successors to each other. For instance: [6:166], [7:130]. According to the Qur’an, ‘Khalifa’ can also be a ‘trustee’ to whom a responsibility is temporarily given. Holy Qur'an tells us that Haroon (as) was the ‘Khalifa’ of Musa (as) when the latter journeyed to His Lord for a period of Forty Nights under special Divine instructions.

The Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya and its Ulema today only speak about the assembly-selected "Khalifa", ignoring the Qur'an's larger message and subtle nuances. This is the "permanent arrangement"of spiritual leadership they foresee and envision for  themselves till the end of times/ Day of Judgement. In his Friday sermon of May 29, 2015 Khalifatul Massih Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib spoke about the question of Ahmadiyya Khilafat in the same lines and looked upon all the material riches on the community as the 'Divine favour' on promise in the Later Days. Despite the acknowledgement of moral decadence among Ahmadis, they do not expect any Divine Elect to rise up and correct them on their mistakes.

True spiritual vision of the Qur'an and Sunnat Allah is lost out in the mundane calculations and fallible imaginations of the Nizamis: Allah does what He Will, He raises up whoever He wishes, wherever He will, especially when such ideas gain credence among people to destroy the edifice of Tawhid.

In a recently published book entitled "Towards the Understanding of Prophethood & the Fallacy of Hypocrites", written by the Divine Elect of our times, Imam Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius, the issue of Ahmadiyya Khilafat has been put into perspective.

In the ebb and flow of human life and the fortune of communities all through history, trajectories of Divine favour can take different shapes and forms, but all human institutions fail and there is no alternative to 'Divine guidance as true guidance'. Truth seekers cannot avoid or evade the issue anymore: the perspective on "Khilafat" presented by the Khalifatullah (atba) is very persuasive and will appeal to the intelligence and heart of every fair-minded person, the arguments being theologically and rationally sound; Qur'anically based, historically-informed and sociologically- accurate

Khalifatullah visits Sri Lanka

Recently, in April-May 2014, the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius undertook an International Dawah Mission to three different countries – Sri Lanka, Maldives and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai & Abu Dhabi). At one level, the visit and preaching was part of the organizational work of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International, to meet with the well-wishers and new disciples, to propagate the message of the Divine Mission and also to procedurally register and enlist the Jamaat functions on a legal and institutional basis in these respective countries. (Inset: the Sacred Fig tree in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It is said to be a sapling from the original Bodhi tree under which the historical Buddha became enlightened. It was planted in 288 BC, and is the oldest living human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date.)

At another level, Hadhrat Sahib (atba), as the Divine servant of our times, was redeeming the pious wish and great hope of the Promised Massih Hadhrat Ahmad (as) to take the message of Islam to the corners of the world, especially to the peoples and nations that follow beliefs other than Islam, and also to renew the Muslims who, in their own individual and social journeys of life, have fallen away from the essence of the spirit and richness of the religion of Allah.

In a Speech made at Colombo, Sri Lanka on Tuesday, 29 April 2014, the Khalifatullah (atba) spoke about the sublime and extraordinary legacy of the Holy Prophet of Islam (sa) whose Divine Mission was specially blessed by time and history. He spoke profoundly on the strategies of preservation Allah (twa) Himself brought about in the fullness of time whereby the essential Message of Islam remained among the people long after the great Arabian Prophet who lived over a millennium ago, left from the gladiator of history. While all other Messengers before him spoke in tongues that lost their vitality and died in the march of history, the language of Arabic- the tongue of the Qur’an- surged ahead and embraced new lands and peoples and became the vehicle for the flowering of culture and civilization in the medieval age, and also in our own times, it retains its vitality as one of the transnational languages, as recognized by the UN systems as well. While the ideational influences of the Islamic world appealed to the hearts and minds of other peoples who came under its magical spell of sublime spirituality, the old Messages in other belief systems got mythicized and reduced into fantastic legends.

Moreover, the Khalifatullah (atba) pointed attention to the Qur’anic arrangement of spiritual renewal of Islam in every age. It is a binding commitment of the Creator of the Qur’an, to preserve the spirit of Islam. And the raising of Divine Reformers in every century is, as the Promised Massih (as) pointed out in the last century, the profound method through which the spiritual preservation and renewal of Islam take place. Such renewal of faith is only through the practical, living example of a Divine soul, who is raised to lead his earthily life in the very midst of his own people. While acknowledging that he belongs to the larger chain of such Divinely-raised souls, the Khalifatullah (atba) calls the attention of one and all to struggle with their own souls to understand the larger purpose of life and to attach themselves to the narrow and straight path of true spirituality.

'Muhyi-ud-Din': Testimonial of Time and History

Rebellion against the Divine Manifestation

At such a critical time, in this era, Allah (swt) had enabled one of the believers of Hazrat Muhammad (saw) and Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) to be raised with such a Jamaat, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam to defend Islam, fight injustice and answer satisfactory the questions of the non-Muslims I come across concerning my claim as Muhyi-ud-Din, Khalifatullah etc. My enemies and the hypocrites got furious and in their rage which was quite out of proportion, they hurled abuses on me and dubbed me a drug addict, sorcerer, mischief-maker, dog, pig, liar and all sorts of names. My enemies even prepared a fatwa (religious decree to declare me a Kafir and false prophet). Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

I do not see anything strange in it because that is what has always been done to godly people. It is only after some time has passed that their true position is recognized. I do not mind the fatwas of kufr and all sorts of names that are being issued against me, because through all these kinds of hardships, the people are only wronging their own souls, not the elect of Allah. The more they try to afflict me with their evil intents and deeds, the more Allah (swt) uses me to serve His religion and through this humble self He is able to establish the excellence of the Holy Prophet (saw), the Promised Messiah (as), and that of the Holy Quran.

I am of course only a like recipient in the hands of Allah. He does whatever He likes with this humble self, for when Allah chooses someone for His mission, then that being is wholly for Allah, and acts as per the will of Allah and everything that he does is through the permission and instruction of Allah. Everything has its measure with Allah. Every being has certain specific works to accomplish, as with the human messengers of Allah and also the angel messengers of Allah.

The Divine Khilafat and Nubuwwat-II

In the modern world, the Muslims have a national presence in almost all the countries, whether as the majority or as a minority community. Yet, the fact is that the Muslim Ummah is caught up in the cauldron of political and economic imperialism of the outside forces, everywhere. They can’t see any Messiah arising among them to redeem their predicament. Yet, the latent consciousness within them suggests that navigating through the troubled waters of the modern age is almost impossible without the leadership of someone immersed in the Divine waters. In the quest for a spiritual solution to meet the guidance imperative of our times, the religious scholars are searching for the practical embodiment of the idea of Khilafat.

Yet, the religious divines are grossly divided among themselves and are unable to rise above sectarian differences. Even when they elect a man to preside over their affairs, the man is unable to give them the requisite spiritual and material advice as he himself is bereft of Divine guidance in the absence of nourishing Divine revelations. As the Islamic ideal of Divine Khilafat is based on the precept of Nubuwwat, the declaration of Khatme Nubuwwat” (end of Messengership) by the general Muslims and the declaration of Khatme Massih Maoud” by the Ahmadis, mean that they are unable to recognize the Divine Khilafat when it is established by Allah (twa). In his Friday Sermon of September 20, 2013 the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius profoundly reflects upon the problems and perils of man-elected Khilafat systems that the Muslim Ulema and the various sects are conjuring up and devising for themselves.
