19 April 2003: First Bai'ah

19 April 2003 is an important day in the annals of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya (Qadian). It marked the end of an era, and also the formal beginning of another, within the larger concept and actual working of the system of spiritual succession or ‘Khilafat’ in the Jamaat. Many Ahmadis relate that day with the passing away of the fourth Khalifatul Massih Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (1928-2003). More importantly, the day marks the inaugural of a new ‘Khilafat’ as well; a Divine Manifestation with an Elect of God in our era, Hazrat Amir-ul-Mu'mineen Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius, accepting Bai’at at his hands, marking an important milestone in the sacred history and trajectory of Islamic renewal over the centuries. The first Bai’at was held that evening in the house of Hazrat Ummul Mu'mineen Sadr Saheba Fazli Amena on the second storey, at Louvet Avenue, Quatre-Bornes, Mauritius. 

 

Indeed one of the questions that deeply divide devout Ahmadis today relate to the events of 19 April 2003, its meaning, interpretation and implications. As is well known, it was in the final years of the caliphate of Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad Saheb that a pious and devout Ahmadi Muslim mystic in Mauritius, Hazrat Munir Ahmad Azim (aba), began to make the extraordinary claim that Allah (swt) has raised him as His Elect of this era, to invite people to God and to strengthen Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya by sharing the Divine revelations and other spiritual verities being vouchsafed to him, with the assistance of Rooh-il-Quddus. It is a matter of historic record and Divine destiny that the fourth Khalifatul Massih thought highly of the noble qualities and preaching attainments of the future Divine Elect when he was still working as a missionary-ambassador of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya to the various communities and nations of the Indian Ocean region.

 

The emergence of the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius coincided with the decline in physical health, spiritual faculties and eventual death of Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad Sahib. In his last years, the ageing caliph was already in a zone of his own, where he was in constant need of sound advice for prudent governance of Jamaat affairs. Yet, as it happened, he was badly advised regarding the nature and character of the Divine Manifestation then emerging in the horizon of Mauritius. Unscrupulous and scheming people, who worked behind the corridors of influence, suggested vanity of office and pride of legacy. Hence, when the saintly figure was reported to have made the claims of being a recipient of Divine revelations, he was expelled from the Nizam-e-Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya under misleading circumstances. Social boycott was administratively enforced on those Ahmadis who preferred faith above the world. Instead of showing humility and an open heart to understand the lofty claims and spiritual verities on offer in the new era, the Nizam-e-Jamaat chose pride and vanity in the material legacy they amassed from the past, and it is only unfortunate that the fourth caliph passed away before he could reflect on his decision vis-a-vis the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius, may Allah forgive him.

 

The fact that the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius has completed 16 years in relative obscurity will only surprise those who have no knowledge or understanding about the working of the spiritual realm. There are indeed many spiritual lessons and lofty insights to be derived by observing and understanding the Divine favour on the Khalifatullah (aba) and how he goes about with his deep and unwavering commitment to advance the cause of Allah and His Message in the last eighteen years. The duty of the Divine Messenger is only to convey the Message; Allah the Most High is the Reckoner. Fortunately, Ahmadis are beginning to come out of the shadow of that colossal mistake of their leadership. Increasingly, they are aware of this alternative trajectory of the Divine Favour in the Jamaat, for truth can be eclipsed, but only for a period. Like the moon, it will eventually come out of the shadow of clouds and confusions created by the enemies of truth, Insha-Allah, Aameen. 

 

Reproduced below are certain brief comments and points mentioned at the beginning of the Friday Sermon of 19 April 2019~12 Shabaan 1440 AH by Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius on the significance of the aforesaid historical event : 

 

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, today (19 April) marks 16 years that a historical event happened within the framework of the Divine Manifestation of this era. The first Bai’ah (oath of allegiance) in the hand of Allah was made and that day also marked the death of the 4^th Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Movement. Before I get up to deliver my sermon, I feel that I shall receive many important messages from Allah. These revelations may come down during or after my sermon. Anyway, these are messages [they are coming and Huzur (atba) is aware of it] that I must share – soon – with you my dear disciples and all humanity, Insha-Allah.

 

[The Caliph of Allah - Khalifatullah (aba) - then spoke of this important day in the annals of the history of the Divine Manifestation and the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam. He recounted how he and the one who was always by his side to write down the divine revelations - and to whom Allah had made great favours (Z. Domun Saheb) - gathered with the believers of the Divine Manifestation at that time for the study circle at Quatre-Bornes. That day was the day when the 4^th Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Movement died, and Z. Domun Saheb asked Amir’ul Mumineen, Munir Azim Saheb, a question about whether he had received any revelation about giving Bai’ah (oath of allegiance) to the believers.

 

Huzur (atba) said that at that time he had not yet received any revelation, and that if he did not receive a revelation, it means that he did not receive any revelation from Allah and that he could not say at that time that he received any revelation because lying about revelation is a very serious act in the eyes of Allah.

 

It was only during the study circle that the divine revelation came, and through it, Allah had manifested Himself and the first Bai’ah had been taken by all those present in the Hand of Allah (represented by the Khalifatullah’s hand). Huzur (aba) mentioned names like M. Ramjaun Saheb, his wife and children who were present and who had taken the Bai’ah. So he gave a warning, and he advised those who had taken the Bai’ah at that time (and who turned their backs on the Divine Manifestation) to think carefully about what they did.

 

Huzur (aba) then said that by the grace of Allah, it is Allah who consolidates the truth and helps His elect and by His grace He has sent other people, from other countries who have acknowledged the truth and who have integrated the Divine Manifestation - the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam. Alhamdulillah.

 

Huzur (atba) seized this opportunity to mention the initiative for a gathering by the female wing (Siraj Makin) of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam of Kerala which begins today on this blessed day 19 April 2019 and their function will end tomorrow 20 April 2019. He congratulated them by telling them “Mubarak Ho” and prayed for the success of their gathering.]

Fourth Caliph and the Divine Signs

In his Friday Sermon of 01 February 2019~ 25 Jamadi’ul Awwal 1440 AH, Imam-Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Hazrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius profoundly reflects upon certain interesting Divine Signs of our times. Based on Qur'anic prophecies and the Holy Prophet's own teachings, the Later Days is the era of extraordinary developments, marking the advent of great transformations that will 'disrupt' the existing ways and 'flatten' the world, destroying the elite privileges and artificial barriers at every level of societal stratification. Thanks to breath-taking changes in transportation mechanisms and  communication technologies in our times, different classes, nations and peoples are brought together more than ever before. In this age of the Internet, all the world is virtually reduced to our finger-tips! Hence, unlike the past, ideas and images travel swiftly across the world and it is now possible to reach out and share the Divine message to people everywhere, Alhamdulillah.  

On 07 January 1938, speaking on the occasion of the installation of loudspeakers at the Mosques in Qadian, the far-sighted second caliph of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad (ra), underscored the importance of technical advancements as a means of bringing people together and he went on to virtually predict the advent of a time of technological progress when a single person sitting somewhere will be able to communicate and conduct his business globally and thereby it would become possible to spread the message of Islam across the world in an easier way through such developments. 

In this context, the establishment of the MTA International  commencing its operations from Mauritius  on 07 January 1994 was an important event in the annals of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya. The then (fourth) caliph Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad Saheb profoundly understood the significance of the moment and the opportunity MTA represents for the community. He recalled the prescient words of the second caliph on the occasion as he believed that the time to spread the teachings of Islam-Ahmadiyya around the globe arrived, with the satellite broadcasting channel in place. Anticipating the promised "victory" of Islam-Ahmadiyya in the second century of the Jamaat (1889-1989; 1989-), the fourth caliph even unleashed a programme of global bai'at, setting targets for the rank and file to convert the whole world. As it happened, afraid as they were to speak truth of the situation to the caliph,  the Nizam-e-Jamaat 'cooked the books' to reach the figures their 'boss' wanted to see and thereby perpetuated a culture of caliph-worship in the Nizam-e-Jamaat, creating a permanent crisis of credibility in its functioning 'methods'. Consider the searing paradox here: on the one hand, the caliph projected the Nizam- 'establishment'- as the true 'heirs' of the Promised Messiah (as) for all times; yet, he ended up presiding over the destruction of the fair name and legacy of the institution.  Allah (swt) raising an Elect of His choice  would upset and 'disrupt' the 'order' (the system of elected, infallible leadership) in the Jamaat. Hence, exaggerating  the 'ego' of the elected chiefs of the Jamaat, the caliph propagated that only a man-elected caliph could be the Divine Elect in future. Despite his line of thinking and public pronouncements, the caliph also understood that the All-Powerful and Exalted Allah (swt) might raise someone, anyone He chooses at a place of His choice, especially at the beginning of a new century of the Jamaat. The ambitious caliph did seem to have wished, and he certainly asked the Jamaat in so many words on the occasion of the annual Jalsa in the year 2000 CE, that everyone pray for him to be elevated as the "Mubarak Wajood "('blessed person'), like mentioned in the prophecies of the Promised Massih (as).    

Allah does what He will. Despite the caliph's ambitious plans and his arrogant pronouncements on Divine Decisions concerning the raising of a reformer in the Jamaat in the new century, the trajectory of Divine blessings and favours shifted in this era, with the advent of a man who speaks with the help of Ruh-il-Quddus, like prophesied by the Promised Massih (as) himself in his testamentary declaration, Al Wassiyat. Indeed, Allah (swt) in His infinite wisdom, used the most disruptive of technologies of communication the humans have ever known- "Ruh-il-Quddus"- to destroy the man-invented and exaggerated notions of Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya and rebuild the edifice of the Divine Order of His Elects guiding humanity till the Day of Judgement, by raising a humble servant of the faith in this era- a spiritual progeny of the Promised Massih (as) himself- Hazrat Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius, Alhamdulillah. Like the Promised Messiah (as) also points out, despite the persecution- with "millions stand(ing) up against them", the caravan of the Divine Elect (atba) will continue to straddle the world with His Message, Insha-Allah, Aameen. 

The Divine signs narrated here calls for deeper reflection by those who use their minds- including truth seekers among the Ahmadis. In this era when the world is 'flat', the old order of special claims- of inherited family legacy and infallible authority of tribal chieftains (think of the Ahmadiyya Khilafat today)- are out of sync with the times and are bound to vanish. In the new order of God on earth, everywhere- both materially and spiritually speaking- 'the underclass', i.e., those who were  previously looked down upon, truly humble people are to inherit the earth: Indeed, the Divine favour of prophethood and sovereignty is being bestowed upon a new class of people in the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya as well- through the advent of the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius, Alhamdulillah, Allah-u-Akbar!

Signs for the 'Ulul-Al-Baab'

“And it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of Allah, and He will place defilement upon those who will not use reason.” (Yunus 10 : 101).

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, Allah shows His signs in extraordinary ways. Sometimes in simple and unimaginable things. He can show His signs in a grand way. Certainly Allah guides whom He wills to the right path, and when He guides His servants, He opens for them the door of spiritual knowledge and makes them understand even a thing that seems simple and unimportant and He makes them see its importance.

18 Years: Phases of A Spiritual Journey

In his opening speech at the Tamil Nadu State Jalsa Salana at Tenkasi on Sunday, 25 November 2018, Imam-Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International, Hadhrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius, gave an illuminating discourse on the different trajectories of the Divine Manifestation of the Age over the last 18 years or so. These spiritual ruminations contain an intensely personal reclamation of an important phase- of searing trials and life-altering experiences- in the life of this recipient of Divine revelations- the humble Elect and Servant of God- that he has had to under-go at the hands of the reigning elites in the Nizam-e-Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya in Mauritius and beyond. The speech also gives a glimpse into subsequent events within the life-world of the Divine manifestation, both in the times of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen and later, with the establishment of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam  in 2008. As such, the discourse is compulsory reading for all true seekers of Divine verities in our times. At a time when the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam is on an expanding curve of wider popular recognition and acceptance in India and also internationally, the challenges of the past provide reassuring contentment for true believers in the signs of Allah that indeed the promise of Allah (swt) is ever true; that Allah (swt) protects and safeguards His chosen servants amidst all trials and tribulations and that the Divine mission and its caravan will continue its incredible journey through different orbits destined for it under the Holy Will of God, Insha Allah, Aameen.

The Divine Manifestation of the Age 

“And say, ‘Truth has come, and falsehood has perished. Indeed falsehood, [by its nature], is ever perishing/bound to perish’.” (Al-Isra, 17: 82).

By the grace of Allah, it has been 10 years now since the creation of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam under divine instructions, and which later on has been legally registered on the 1^st Rabi-ul-Awwal 1429 AH (Hijri), on the 10^th of March 2008 C.E. We held our first Jumu’ah in Mauritius under our new identity bestowed to us by Allah on the 12^th Rabi’ul Awwal of the Islamic year 1429 (Hijri). This is indeed an immense favour and blessings from Allah, that He keeps on showering His rain of grace and blessings and the wind of His mercy has swept us along with it and Alhamdulillah, Allah has enabled His Jamaat – Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam – to grow in spirituality and number over all these years and that blessed tree of Allah has spread its branches in many directions in the world, and reaching also India.

'Qudrat-e-Saniah' and the Ahmadi Caliphs

Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam-Tamil Nadu (India) organized its second Jalsa Salana at Tenkasi on Sunday, 25 November 2018. The Tamil Nadu State Jalsa this year was special for all its participants, including for the delegation of brothers and sisters from Kerala, with the august presence of Hadhrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius and the respected and honoured members of the holy family among them. In his closing Speech at the Jalsa, Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) gave a profound discourse on the advent of Divine Elects in Islam. Apart from explaining the promise of Allah (swt) contained in the Holy Qur'an and also the prophecy of Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) in this regard, the Speech is also noted for its exposition on the beliefs of the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). Examining the speculative notions and opinions held by the latter caliphs in the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya on the advent of Divine Elects (Mujaddidin)in the era after the Promised Massih (as), Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) draws on textual and documentary analysis of Jamaat literature to tease out the  meaning and interpretation of the much misunderstood concept of 'Qudrat-e-Saniah' (Second Manifestation of Divine Power), and thereby helps to correct the mistaken beliefs prevailing among many Ahmadis today.

My dear disciples,

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

Alhamdulillah, you have all come here to benefit from the spiritual treasure to enrich your knowledge, and indeed all your sacrifices for the sake of Allah shall not go in vain.

For my closing speech today, I have chosen to speak about the coming of Mujaddids in Islam as per the promise of Allah and the prophecy of the Seal of all prophets, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) as well as the beliefs of the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as).

Allah says in the Holy Quran: “This is a blessed Book (the Quran) which We have sent down, so follow it and fear Allah, that you may receive mercy.” (Al-Anam 6: 156).

Like you all know, the Holy Quran is the perfect book which has been revealed to the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). What many people do not realise, is that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was actually the perfect human representation of the Holy Quran on earth. His wife, Hazrat Aisha (ra) has beautifully expressed this similitude in the following words: “He was a personification of the Quran.” In other words, a walking Quran.

Thus in the verse which I have put before you, whenever Allah refers to the Holy Quran, He refers also to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) because both are one and the same. The pure revelations of Allah, His law-bearing commandments were all reflected in the person of the Holy Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). The Holy Spirit and God’s Words formed one with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

And likewise, Allah has also promised that He shall be the guardian of the Quran for all times. Allah says: “Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur’an and indeed, We will be its guardian.” (Al-Hijr 15: 10).

Pride and Prejudice in the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya

O my Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous. (Al-Furqan 25: 75).

Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate now after Thou hast guided us, but grant us mercy from Thine own Presence; for Thou art the Grantor of bounties without measure. (Al-Imran 3: 9).

Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error. (Al-Baqara 2: 287).

Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith. (Al-Baqara 2: 287).

 'Practice' versus 'preaching' in the Nizam-e-Jamaat

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community headed by a man-elected caliph deceives the world with his beautiful speeches about peace and the need to have Love for All and Hatred for None.

As Caliph and Messenger of Allah, it is my duty to put before the world, especially in front of all Ahmadi Muslims around the world, the true face of their present caliph, who certainly does not practice what he preaches.

The Break-up of Ahmadi Families in Mauritius

To hide his face, he tells people who ask him questions about the current situation in Mauritius, a situation that for more than seventeen years has turned sour in the Ahmadiyya Community of Mauritius, [that everything is fine]. With the instructions, directives that come directly from the current caliph, the chiefs of the Jamaat Ahmadiyya in Mauritius are doing whatever they like by implementing what they call, the caliph’s instructions, such instructions that they absolutely must implement, despite the fact that these same instructions are against the vital teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and even the teachings of the Promised Messiah, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as).

In view of the world, the caliph preaches peace, he is a peaceful man, a man of peace. He insists that there is no problem in Mauritius, that everything is fine in the best of all worlds! But in truth, the more he masks the break-up and massacres in the Jamaat Ahmadiyya in Mauritius and elsewhere in the world within the Ahmadi families, the more the truth turns into a powerful wave to reverse his Machiavellian plans. He takes himself as a gatherer, but in truth he is only a man who wants to divide families and break the Muslim unity and family union.

‘Qadian is Dead’, says Fourth Khalifa

Qadian- seat of the Promised Massih (as)

Qadian’s spiritual significance lies in the fact that it was once inhabited by a servant of God- a human soul deeply immersed in the Divine waters. Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), whom the Ahmadi Muslims consider as the Promised Massih and Imam Mahdi of the Later Days, lived there in the last century. For the followers of the ‘Promised Massih’, Qadian is thus a sacred space where much of the events pertaining to the life and spiritual experiences and Divine revelations and Signs of God associated with the holy founder of the community originally took place. 

Moreover, the social history of Ahmadiyya community in the last century also evolved from Qadian, including the famous institutionalization of a system of successor-ship in the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya known as the “Khilafat” in May 1908, following the death of the Promised Massih (as). 

Likewise, the intellectual tensions associated with the interpretational differences over doctrinal matters leading to the Great Split in the community also evolved and took shape in Qadian in the aftermath of the death of the founder and later, after the first caliph Hazrat Maulvi Hakkim Nooruddin Saheb (ra), leading to the separation of a segment of the Community based out of Lahore under the leadership of Hazrat Maulvi Muhammad Ali Saheb. However, the majority of Ahmadis at that point of time showed preference to work with the second caliph, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad Saheb (ra) (1914-1965) who went on to preside over the community over half a century, at a critical stage in the fortunes of the community's organizational framework. 

19 April 2003: A Memoir

19^th April 2003 is an important day in the annals of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya (Qadian). It was on this day that the reigning caliph of the Jamaat, Khalifatul Massih IV Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad [1928-2003], passed away in London, UK. For devout Ahmadis, the day marked the end of an era within the ‘Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya’ system established after the death and departure of Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) [1835-1908] almost a century back in Qadian, India. An important phase in the succession saga of spiritual leadership in the Ahmadiyya community, the Day marks a time of  transition from one caliph to another elected by the assembly of the Ahmadis. Indeed, as is widely known,  the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya went on to elect and appoint yet another caliph in their 'Majlis Shura', in succession to the deceased fourth caliph, the fifth Khalifatul Massih Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad on 23 April 2003, marking continuity of leadership. 

Perhaps less widely-noticed, yet a very vital, parallel development also took shape on that eventful day of 19 April 2003. Far away from London, half way across the world, in the Indian Ocean-bound island state of Mauritius, an Ahmadi who believed in the divine mission of the promised Messiah (as), a man who claimed the authority of divine revelations, began accepting Bai’at at his hands from the Ahmadis, stating that he has been bestowed with spiritual titles, including as Hazrat Amir'ul Mu'mineen of this era. Hence, many Ahmadi followers of the new Divinely-raised Muhyiuddin relate the day with the formal inaugural of a new system of ‘Khilafat’ among the Ahmadis, heralding the advent of a Divine Manifestation among the Ahmadis in this era, Alhamdulillah, Allah-u-Akbar!

The Quest for 'Laila-tul-Qadr'

The Night of Decree

If the Night of Destiny, which is found in the last ten days of Ramadan is different from the other nights of this blessed month or even the other nights of the year, it is due to its preeminence as mentioned in a chapter of the Holy Quran which has been revealed on its very subject, i.e. Chapter 97, Verses 1-6:

“In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful. 

Surely We revealed it on the Night of Majesty; 

And what will make you understand what the Night of Majesty is? 

The Night of Majesty is better than a thousand months. 

The angels and the Spirit descend therein by the permission of their Lord for every matter. 

Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” (Al-Qadr, 97: 1-6).

Traditions report that the Holy Prophet Muhammad ^(sa) was on his way to inform Muslims of the date of the Night of Destiny, when because of a quarrel between two people the knowledge thereof was taken from him. He expressed the wish that it was (indeed) good for the Muslims (that the specific date of this Night has been made to be forgotten).

Hazrat Aisha ^(ra), the wife of the Messenger of Allah ^(sa) informed us: “The Messenger of Allah ^(sa) used to retreat in the Mosque during the last ten days of Ramadan, in the odd days of the last ten days of Ramadan.” (Bukhari & Muslim).

Therefore, the possible nights are the 21^st, 23^rd, 25^th, 27^th & 29^th.

15 Years of Divine Manifestation

On this festive day of New Year 2016, I offer a prayer to the Creator of the universe for all mankind: 

“O my God, 

You were with us and You strove for us even before we do so with ourselves; also be with us since we are as You were with us even before our existence! 

Clothe us with Benevolence (Lutfika) and come to us with Your love (Atfika) and Your Majesty (Janaabika). 

Bring out of our heart the darkness of self-will and let shine in our secret (Sirr) the light of surrender to You! 

Make us contemplate the excellence of Your choices so that what You demand and what You choose for us may become more beloved to us than the choices we could possibly make for ourselves. Ameen!”

Today January 1, it’s been 15 years since the late 4^th Caliph of the Ahmadiyya movement based himself on a report of hatred and jealousy of his ex so-called Amir to believe that two people were creating fitna (disorder) in the Ahmadiyya movement in Mauritius and that the system of Khilafat (Caliphate) was in danger. And then, without listening to our version mainly on divine revelation which I was receiving at the time, the fourth Caliph with such arrogance humiliated us and expelled from the Nizam-e-Jamaat (administration of the Jamaat) and in addition to that, he had not hesitated to send a curse (Lannat) on us, predicting our end. He qualified this end as a tragic and horrible end; that we would have a fearful destiny. 

As Allah told me afterwards, it was a Mubahila - a wish/ prayer for our misfortune and our end – which the fourth caliph had done, from the tone of his writings which he dictated through the Additional Vakilut-Tabshir Majid Tahir. In a vision (Kashf), Allah (swt) made it very clear to me that it was indeed a Mubahila which the fourth Caliph had done and I saw the Hand of Allah crush the letter (of Mubahila) in question and throw it in the dustbin. The 4^th Caliph had not realized his mistake and had failed to control his ego, and then with all his arrogance, he told us to go and form our separate Jamaat, and that when two people will go this shall not make the weight against the millions of people who will join the Ahmadiyya movement.

Huzur (atba) said that recently an Ahmadi told him that they (the Ahmadis of Mauritius) needed him (meaning that he is a vital asset for the Jamaat of the Promised Messiah), and to return to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association. Huzur (atba) said that he never left the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association. It was never his wish to do so. 

Indeed, it was those at the head who plotted to expel him from the Jamaat, the Nizam-e-Jamaat. Indeed, see how the plan of Allah unfolded. The 4^th Caliph “ordained” the both of them (that is, Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (atba) and Zafrullah Domun Saheb) to go form their own separate Jamaat. In a way, they both obeyed the Khalifat-ul-Massih; it is them who showed obedience whilst the other Ahmadis are still showing themselves disobedient. All in all, the will of Allah prevailed in all circumstances.

Khalifatul Massih V as "Ummati Nabi" ?

The Promised Messiah (as) received the status of Ummati Nabi (subordinate prophet) and of Khatam-ul-Khulafa (Seal of the Caliphs). It’s true that it is only in the Jamaat of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) that Allah (swt) will raise subordinate (Ummati) prophets. How will we know how Allah (swt) shall choose this kind of subordinate prophet, His prophet?

It is of course, through DIVINE REVELATION and not through the tongues of man (i.e. elected by man) that this humble servant of Allah shall have to proclaim himself officially, affirming that Allah alone has raised him as Ummati Nabi and after his death, well-guided Khulafa shall take over his mission. But as it is Sunnat Allah (the way of Allah), whenever the situation deteriorates and the divine teachings are trampled to dust, and dynasties take over, definitely Allah will raise His very own Khalifa (without the help and election of any creature) in the same Jamaat of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) and in the Ummah of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) as His prophet (an Ummati Nabi) and having the same titles and grades as the Promised Messiah (as) in that which he also shall be a Khatam-ul-khulafa, i.e. all other subordinate prophets after him shall be from his own Jamaat and identity.

Indeed years and years have gone by and I am curious to know if the Khalifat-ul-Massih Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has proclaimed himself officially to the status of Ummati Nabi and Khatam-ul-Khulafa in this era?

Hence Allah (swt) has taught us in various verses of the Holy Quran, for example: in Surah Al-Anam:

“O you assembly of jinn and mankind! Did not there come to you messengers from amongst you, reciting unto you My verses and warning you of the meeting of this day of yours?” They will say: “We bear witness against ourselves”. It was the life of this world that deceived them. And they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. (6: 131)

The prophets (Nabiyyuun) come to bring back the glory and true value of the divine instructions to humankind so as to enable them to pave their way towards spirituality which they have completely forgotten or which they have trampled to dust. A prophet’s (God’s chosen one) duty is to bring people of all nations throughout the whole world back to the Tawheed (unity of God) and convince them that the day is coming soon that they shall have to present themselves in front of Allah (swt). The Holy Quran has clearly explained this to us that whenever the religious leaders started being corrupted and they wanted people to give them much more importance than Allah, the Sovereign of all worlds, behaving as if they are gods on earth, therefore Allah sees the need to send His very own Khalifa (representative). For example Allah (swt) says in the Holy Quran:

“And surely, many do lead mankind astray by their own desires through lack of knowledge. Certainly your Lord knows best the transgressors.” (6: 120)

 “They look their rabbis and their monks and Jesus, son of Mary to be their Lords besides Allah. (9: 31)

Many people are led astray by their honouring their chiefs to the rank of God, taking them as their idols. These people follow only the instructions coming from their idols, their leaders even if these instructions are clearly contrary to the divine commandments. Hence, this situation will never be corrected unless divine revelation comes to clear out the misunderstandings and wrong interpretations of the Book of Allah and the writings of His Messengers. Alas, these chiefs mislead the people just to satisfy their personal desires and thirst for power. These chiefs are not like those whom Allah have safeguarded and honoured to the status of Ummati Nabi and Khatam-ul-Khulafa.  Indeed, these chiefs are devoid of divine guidance and revelation coming from Allah. And whenever the subordinate non-law bearing prophets come to guide them to the right path, they turn a deaf ear to his call and label him a madman and liar.

The Fallacies of Maulvi Abdul Ghany

The leaders and scholars of the Nizam(e-Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya) are today guilty of giving credence to self-serving, dynasty-perpetuating, 'doctrinal spin' on important questions of theological matters that impinge on the very foundations of true Islam. The teachings of Promised Massih Hadhrat Ahmad (as) highlighted the significance of Divine guidance as true guidance and today those who claim his legacy stand to deny the same 'by other means'. For clinging to their earthly 'positions', these leaders and scholars trample upon perennial Qur'anic teachings and would have common folks to believe that Allah (swt) stopped the enduring practice of raising His Elects in support of Tawhid. They would prefer everyone to consider that a man-elected-man is 'superior' to a Divine Elect, raised by Allah (swt) Himself in this era! 

In a recently published book entitled "Towards the Understanding of Prophethood and the Fallacy of the Hypocrites", Imam Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah, Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius corrects these doctrinal mistakes, interpretative anomalies and argumentative fallacies committed by the so called Ahmadi leaders and scholars. The central question of continuity of Divine revelations in the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya had for too long been kept under the carpet by these chiefs and now their ways are being challenged by a servant of Allah (swt), speaking with the help of Rooh-il-Quddus.  The book in this context puts under scanner the reality of certain statements and pronouncements made by Khalifatul Massih Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib in one of his recent Friday Sermons. 

The Book also takes apart the article written by maulvi Abdul Ghany Jahangeerkhan. Ever since the advent of the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius, the maulvi had been at the forefront of efforts to extinguish the light of Allah from among the Ahmadis in Mauritius. Like the original Iblis in the times of Adam (as), he tried his worst to confuse and deviate as many Ahmadis as possible. He feared that common Ahmadis recognizing the Divine Light among them might turn upside down the very edifice of mundane chiefs to whom he was beholden. Sensing 'danger' to entreched fiefdoms, he cared far more to please his 'masters' at home and abroad than to bow before the wisdom and judgement of the Master of the Universe in raising a Messenger among them. In ringing Orwellian style of a rank hypocrite, he co-opted the 'language' of faith to deviate people from the faith!
