Mubahila: Khalifa Sani and the Ahmadiyya Sects

Today, among the followers, or those who have accepted the claims, of the Promised Massih Hadhrat Ahmad (as) in the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya, one can count six different, denominational sects: Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Qadian, Anjuman Ahmadiyya Lahore, Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Al Muslemun, Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Islah Pasand, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Haquiqui

The recent Mubahila between two of the Ahmadiyya sects- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and the Jamaat-e- Ahmadiyya Islah Pasand is entering into a different stage now, with the Mujaddid claimant Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib and his Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya Islah Pasand declaring for himself a “clear victory” through his recent speeches. The boastful claims from the Janbah Sahib came after the completion of two years of publishing/uploading the official Mubahila Document in the respective official websites.

In contrast to the approach of the Janbah Sahib, Hadhrat Imam Muhyi-ud-Din Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba)  and the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam  has taken the position that the Janbah Sahib is gravely mistaken in his approach and perceptions and also in his appreciation for himself in the context of the Mubahila. Janbah Sahib is ignoring a profound fact about the situation: he had entered into the Mubahila, half-hearted and reluctant, as is so apparent from the way he conducted himself and his failure in fulfilling the simple procedural requirements in their full measure. He should not have abused the fact that Allah (twa) is compassionate and overlooks the mistakes and sometimes extends the days of people in His Wisdom. Insha Allah, the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam is certain to serve the purpose of renewal of faith in our times, and there are glad tidings for those who are steadfast and do good deeds in the path of Allah.

The result/consequences of the Mubahila is itself a trial for the believers, especially for all Ahmadis found in the various sects of Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya today. Given that all parties to the Mubahila are alive and positive factors that give personal and subjective satisfaction can be, and had been, shared from both ends, whose claims of decisive victory needs to be accepted may yet remain shrouded for many believers, especially those who have veils over their eyes which haze their spiritual vision. In his Friday Sermon of March 21, 2014 the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius spoke about the questions that are most relevant for those who analyse the Mubahila situation.

This is a great trial/exam which Allah the Great is doing with the Ahmadis, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement, Jamaat Ahmadiyya Haquiqui, Jamaat Ahmadiyya Islah Pasand and Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen, among others.

Ponder carefully over the Mubahila which had been made. It was a Mubahila which had been launched because of the gratuitous and indecent attacks, blames, criticism and swearwords being done and said on Hazrat Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (as), Khalifa Sani, and thus it is the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam who has come forward to defend the honour of Hazrat Musleh Ma’ud (as).

All brothers and sisters, ponder over this. When you analyse the situation, you shall see that nowadays in the Jamaat of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) – Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) – there are more than 6 Jamaats in Jamaat Ahmadiyya. But there are 6 main ones, which are divided in two main groups, those who accepts Hazrat Massih Ma’ud’s prophecy which he made after 40 days of prayers in Hoshiarpur concerning the good news of a pious and intelligent son who shall be the Musleh Ma’ud, and on the other hand there are those who do not believe in that promised reformer. Those 6 Jamaats are divided equally, 3 are for the veracity of the Musleh Ma’ud and 3 against.

Those 3 Jamaats which firmly accept this belief (in Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad) are: The mainstream Ahmadiyya Jamaat which is governed by a system of Khilafat-ul-Massih, Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen and Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam. The 3 Jamaats which are against the Musleh Ma’ud (as) and which have made all sorts of gratuitous attacks on him are: Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement (Lahori Party), Jamaat Ahmadiyya Haqiqi and Jamaat Ahmadiyya Islah Pasand.

Therefore in 2011, a Mubahila had been launched and I was the first to sign on the document on 21 November 2011, but it is only in February 2012 that the others signed on it. Thus, it was a Mubahila which had been done between a Jamaat which believes in the Musleh Ma’ud Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam), against another Jamaat which does not believe in the Musleh Ma’ud (The Jamaat of Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib – Jamaat Ahmadiyya Islah Pasand).

Let us supposed that, despite the fact that Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib had not respected the rules and neither included the date, month and year nor the name of his Jamaat on the Mubahila form, and he did not also put my name where I had indicated – because they think I am a liar with the fact that with, God forbid Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (as) being false, then according to them, I am also false – the Mubahila Challenge of 2 years yielded no result, therefore I would like to ask some questions to the Ahmadis. This is because there are such Ahmadis, despite saying that they believe in the Musleh Ma’ud (as), yet when it concerns the Mubahila waged against Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib, they prefer taking sides with Janbah Sahib and there are also those who have addressed him as “Janab Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib” and they took the Mubahila which I made with Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib with a pinch of salt, despite Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib being a great opponent of the Musleh Ma’ud (as).

My questions to the Ahmadis:

After the Mubahila Challenge and the (apparently) no effect result on Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib in the court of Allah, therefore what will you do?

1. Accept Abdul Ghaffar Janbah as Musleh Ma’ud and Zaki Ghulam?
2. Reject Hazrat Musleh Ma’ud (as)? If you do not reject him, then
3. Are you in favour of/accept someone who has levelled all sorts of blames on Musleh Ma’ud (as)?
4. Do you think that Allah has made a great trial with you, whereby in this era He has sent His chosen messenger to you, and you have rejected him/the Divine Manifestation?

My questions to the Lahori Party and Jamaat Ahmadiyya Haqiqi, who are against the Musleh Ma’ud (as), what shall you do after the end of the 2 years Mubahila, and according to Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib, he is fit and fine, there is progress everywhere, and he even said that he shall live up till 80 years old. You are on the same level of understanding concerning the position of the Musleh Ma’ud (as). What shall you do?

1. Shall you accept Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib as Musleh Ma’ud and Zaki Ghulam?
2. According to you, Janbah Sahib incurred no loss, proving that the Musleh Ma’ud Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (as) was– God Forbid – false. Now what will you do when according to Janbah, he proved the Musleh Ma’ud (as)’s fallacy and thus established his own (Janbah’s) truthfulness?
3. Will your two Jamaat integrate the Jamaat of Abdul Ghaffar Janbah and will you take Bai’at in his hands?

A great trial has been made by Allah concerning this Mubahila, a trial for all Jamaats in Ahmadiyyat, with those who say that they believe in Massih Ma’ud (as) and his prophecies. The Mubahila went in the court of Allah, and nobody, that is, the Jamaat of Abdul Ghaffar Janbah (according to what he is declaring), and the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam has made some spiritual lost also, and all the 6 Jamaats are proclaiming that they are on the right path.

How can one distinguish the truth?

When one analyses the insinuations of Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib, that which he is trying to let believe concerning the prophecy of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) about the Musleh Ma’ud (as), he is trying to take that prophecy for himself and refuse to acknowledge that the prophecy was about a physical son, from the own seed of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as). Abdul Ghaffar Janbah Sahib refuses to accept the truth and shows his arrogance...


The command of Allah is coming; so do no seek to hasten it. Surely, in all this are signs for people of understanding. All things have their measure with Allah and Allah is filled with forgiveness despite their sins, but He is also severe in punishment. If Allah decides harm for a community, nobody can ever prevent this from happening, and they will not get any protection against Allah. Very often the believers lose hope when they realise that people treat them as infidels who have believed in false prophets, and finally those who were patient and steadfast and who placed their trust in Allah the Almighty, they are the ones to tread on the right path and are victorious. Insha-Allah.  (For the other extracts from the same Sermon, click here. )

In his Frdiay Sermon of 2014 March 28, before closing his sermon, Huzur (atba) spoke about the circumstances of his expulsion from the Jamaat and the vision he received from Allah in which He saw a hand from the Unseen taking the letter in which the fourth Khalifa stated a fearful destiny for Huzur (atba), but then Allah stated that it was a Mubahila which the fourth Khalifa-tul-Massih had done with him and thus crushed the letter and dumped it in a dustbin.

Afterwards Hazrat Khalifatullah (atba) broached the subject of the Mubahila which Janbah Sahib is now in with Sultani Sahib. He talked for some time about the trial which Allah did with the Jamaat Ahmadiyya as a whole with the Mubahila which took place between him and Janbah Sahib and our respective Jamaats. He said that now, how come Janbah knows how to put the seal of his Jamaat in a Mubahila, whereas he cowardly did not do so when he entered into Mubahila with the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam? He thinks that he is strong now, and 
Sultani Sahib once said that he shall enter Mubahila with the winner of the Mubahila. Who does he thinks won the Mubahila? Now he is in Mubahila with Janbah Sahib? 
And how come names of innocent children, as young as 19 months old are being mentioned in the Mubahila when they are not aware of what is happening to them?
A Warning to Shabeeb Haneef Sahib

Next Huzur (atba) talked about Shaheeb Haneef Sahib from India (and the like of him) who talks nonsense when he said that the Khalifatullah (atba) was hiding behind the Musleh Ma’ud (ra). Huzur (atba) issued a warning to this person, not to go about the way he is treading, like an imbecile who prefers to talk ill about someone who is defending the honour of the Musleh Ma’ud Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmood Ahmad (ra). 

He reminds Shabeeb Haneef Sahib that if that Mubahila went forward in the first place, then Shabeeb Haneef Sahib was the “Agoa” (in this context, the one who brought to attention the negative response of Janbah Sahib against both Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad (ra) and Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (atba) which thus culminated in a Mubahila between the two parties).

A Warning to Nasir Ahmad Sultani

Nasir Ahmad Sultani, the founder of Jama’at Ahmadiyya (Haqiqi) claims that Allah Almighty has appointed him as Mujaddid for 15th century of Islamic calendar on March 31st 2011. His group and he himself had been claiming as their “speciality” that he “has live contact with Allah Almighty” and that no other religious leader of this age can compete with him in this. 
In recent comments published at the official Blog of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement onOctober 19, 2011, Sultani Sahib made sweeping statements:
Live contact with Allah Almighty is the main objective of a religion. Every religion and nowadays Islam must provide opportunity to connect people to their Creator. But there was none. I have searched and challenged all over the world. There is none of the followers of Islam who has his own presentable live connection with Allah Almighty.
