Celebrating ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’ 2024

With the sighting of the crescent moon on the skies of the Kerala coast on the evening of 09 April 2024, Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam members in India celebrated ‘Eid-ul-Fitr’ with special prayers and feasting and festivities on Wednesday, 10 April 2024, Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

Brothers and sisters and children of the Jamaat mainly congregated at the mosques of the community for Eid special prayers in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

With many members of the Jamaat observing I’tikaaf in the last ten days of the fasting month of Ramadan at the Sirajum Munir Masjid in Tamil Nadu, and also at the Noor’ul Islam Masjid at Mathra in Kerala; the mosques became the natural venues for the members celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr. Eid prayers were also conducted in other places in both the States, and also outside of these two States where members live, bringing alive the Qur’anic command to turn ‘places of living’ into virtual mosques for the pure devotion and worship of Allah (swt).

Charitable Giving in Ramadan

Islam strongly encourages charitable giving for seeking the pleasure of God. Accordingly, during Ramadan, our beloved Imam, Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Al Mahdi Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius underscored the significance of contributing towards Fidya and Fitra before the end of Ramadan. It was explained to everyone that ‘Fidya is to be paid for those who are not able to fast (the sick, menstruating women, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, travellers). As for Fitra, it is incumbent on every believer, rich and poor, even the newborn.’

Fitra applies on the rich and the poor as well, male and female. Fitra is incumbent on every newborn of our Jamaat as well.’

‘And be it Fidya and Fitra, they are to be distributed before the Eid Salat to the poor and deprived believers of Islam (and for the Divine Manifestation - priority to our believing members Sahih Al Islam).’

Accordingly, members on their own as well as in partnership with the Jamaat system collected and distributed a good sum of money in religious charities to facilitate the celebration by all members of Eid-ul-Fitr without financial difficulties creating any barrier, Alhamdulillah.

Mystical visions and other Signs

By the immense grace and favours of Allah (swt), the fasting month of Ramadan this year turned out to be an exceptional time for devotees of Allah in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International: a number of interesting signs of spiritual illumination, visions and dreams of fine quality and substance were vouchsafed to many humble and sincere members of the Jamaat. These persons had the great favour of witnessing interesting Divine Signs containing reminders of valuable and enduring spiritual lessons.

For instance, a particular vision vouchsafed to a humble woman member of the Jamaat indicated to the flight of time and our opportunity, and spiritual responsibility now: the need for recognizing the blessings of God in the form of His chosen messenger sent with the revelations of His teachings, the Khalifatullah (aba) in our midst- before our ability to profit from these divine graces are forever taken away from us- with our passing away from this world only to be held accountable on the Day of Meeting, the Day when nothing about us will be concealed from God.

Indeed, our deeds are our destiny on that ever-approaching Day: no injustice will be done on that day, and each soul shall be rewarded for whatever it has done. May Allah (swt) enable each one of us to embrace our chance to be good believers in our time in this world, and do good when we can, enduring good deeds in service of humanity, and may the Lord forgive us our sins and turn to us with mercy and grace, and grant us the paradise of His nearness, Insha Allah, Aameen.
