21 Years of Bai'ah

 

'It has been 21 years since Allah directed me to accept the pact of allegiance [Bai’ah] of all who believed in my truthfulness as the Chief of the Believers (Amir’ul Mumineen) of that time; the day when the fourth caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community died. A strange thing occurred: a rumour spread that I had predicted that the fourth caliph would die on a 20th of April, but this was not even true, but... Allah turned their derision and rumour into truth because the caliph died only a day before the so-called prediction. Allah turned their false rumours into truth.

Allah decided on this day to bring together all those who already believed in my truth, and those who were seeking the truth, and made them the first to take the Ba’iah in His Hand. This moment was a moment of glory, of victory for the truth, for those who were socially boycotted because of their belief in this humble servant, a servant of Allah who received [and still receives] divine revelation. Alhamdulillah.  

 

Today, after years of divine blessings, as well as people’s persecution and slander, the truth is only increasing. Despite the trials, Allah has given us the ability to overcome them all and to draw even closer to Him and receive His mercy and Guidance.

 

Allah sent me as a blessed servant to you all, and little by little raised me in rank before your eyes. And with honours also comes the responsibility that goes with them.
