'Khalifatullah': A Divine Blessing- III

The Promise of Allah to the Prophet & the Believers

It is by sheer grace of Allah that He has enabled me – armed me with the opportunity, courage and knowledge – to explain this subject to you in more details so that in the century you live in, this present century, you cannot say that you did not receive the message and that nobody gave you explanations, or did not enlighten you on the subject.

So, as the Khalifatullah of this era, I do the work that I have [been ordained] to do, and it is Allah Who guides and directs me to give those very important message because tomorrow when you present yourself before your Creator, you will not be able say you weren’t aware of anything. You will not be able to say, “No one said anything; I did not receive the message.” You will not be able to say this to your Creator! I am doing the work that Allah (swt) has given me, according to divine instruction and now it is up to you to take the responsibility to either accept or reject the message. It is up to you whether you accept it or turn your back on the divine message. Each one of you will be responsible for his action, on the Day of Retribution when each will be accountable to the Creator. In this temporal world, we are all travellers, we are temporary in this world; so we have to think a little bit about the afterlife, because it’s life after death that will be permanent for us.

Now I quote a verse found in Surah An-Nur, the Chapter “The Light” (24: 56), where Allah says: “He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them”. Similarly in Surah Al-Maida (5: 4), Allah also said, “This day I have perfected for you your religion, and have completed My favour upon you and have approved Islam for you as religion.”

This means that Allah (swt) will put forward and make a final announcement that Islam will gain strength and honour through the blessed system established by Him [Allah (swt)] where He will continue to send His divine favour, His Chosen Servant, His Khalifatullah and it is through His Chosen One (or Chosen Ones) that He will allow the religion of Islam to gain victory worldwide. As I already explained to you in my two sermons of the past two Fridays, the Holy Prophet (pbuh) planted this seed of Islam, and then there must be a continuation of this work, the same work as this noble and perfect man, that is to say, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) sowed. He sowed the seed of Islam but what happened today? What has happened to the Muslims? Where have the real teachings of Islam gone? It is not in vain that our beloved prophet (pbuh) said ... ***, and especially when the verse from the Holy Quran was revealed on the subject where Allah (swt) says:

Wa aakhariina minhum lamma yal-haquu bihim”
And among others who have not yet joined them. (Surah Al-Jumu’ah 62: 4).

This verse contains a very great prophecy where some may even question the mission of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and the teachings of Islam in the last days when these true teachings [those of Islam] are flouted, and when this happens, then definitively Allah (swt) will raise a witness to safeguard this Sahih Al Islam (that is to say, Islam in its authenticity). *** When this verse was revealed, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) made us understand this because he said: “Law kaanal imaanu mu’allaqan bith-thurayya lanaa luhu rajulun min haa’ulaai.” (Bukhari - Kitab-’ul Tafsir).

And when he said these words, he had placed his hand on the shoulder of Salman Farsi, and Salman Farsi was a Persian and this prophecy came true in the days of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) the Messiah of the past century, but this prophecy does not stop here; it continues to be realized in this century through the coming of this humble servant whom Allah (swt) has raised in this era. This humble servant raised by Allah is the servant and guardian of the continuation of the work of the noble prophet (pbuh) and I am also a firm believer in the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and also a firm believer in the Honourable Promised Messiah (as). Just as Hazrat Massih Ma’ud’s (as) claim as Messiah could not be done by someone outside of the Ummah of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), similarly this humble servant of Allah, the Khalifatullah of this era cannot be someone who is outside the Ummah of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), nor outside the Jamaat of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) also. So, to revive these true teachings of Islam (this Sahih Al Islam) this Elect of Allah cannot be separated or excluded from the circle (or community) of the noble prophet (pbuh) and the Honourable Promised Messiah (as). He must be a very firm follower of these two: The first being the Khatam-an-Nabiyyine (the Seal of the Prophets), and the other one being the Khatam-an-Khulafa (the Seal of the Caliphs). Even the advent of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) is of no value without his attachment to Nabi Kareem Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh).

So concerning the Hadith which I have just quoted [reported by Hazrat Abu Huraira (ra)], Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) says that even if the faith disappears on earth and reaches the Pleiades until even reaching a star called Surrayya, [I make you understand this Hadith from the words of the prophet (pbuh)] then Allah (swt) will send a man or several men who will bring this faith back to earth.

So think a little about how faith, divine teaching will be trampled on by human hands to the point that every time Allah (swt) will have to send someone to revive these true Islamic teachings. There must be this divine system of continuation of the Elect of Allah where Allah (swt) sends His Khalifatullah and he will then manifest himself with great splendour and glory because he will be someone that Allah (swt) has Himself chosen and sent.

Fa-’immaa ya-ti-yan-nakum-minnii Hudan-faman tabi-’a Hudaa-ya falaa khaw-fun ‘alayhim wa laa hum yah-zanuun”And if there comes Guidance from Me, whoso follow My Guidance will have no fear and will not be afflicted. (Al-Baqara 2: 39).

In another verse from the Holy Quran, Allah (swt) says: “It is He who sent His Messenger with the right guidance and the religion of truth, so that it triumphs over all other religions, however repulsive those who associate others with Allah may find it.” (At-Taubah 9: 33).

So it is very clear that there are no clearer explanations than this, that it is Allah (swt) Himself Who sends His Messenger with guidance (divine guidance) to revive the true teachings of this true religion, the religion of truth, the Sahih Al Islam.

There is a message in the two verses which I mentioned as well as a warning that if you isolate yourselves from this divine system, if you move away from the Messenger that Allah has Himself sent with the guidance, then it will not be possible for you to have some divine blessing or progress and success. This explanation [or implication] is also included in these aforementioned verses and which is perfectly clear. It’s the word of Allah. Success and prosperity will be for those who remain in the circle of the Chosen One whom Allah has sent with His message and guidance to spread the religion of truth. And whoever arrogantly and proudly turns his back on the one whom Allah (swt) has sent, he will go to his ruin; he will lose in this world as well as in the hereafter as well.

More than 1400 years of the history of Islam testify that as long as the true system of the Khilafat-e-Rashideen (well-guided Caliphs) was present, Islam went from progress to progress and triumphed. The sun of success and prosperity set when the Muslims were deprived of this blessing by their bad deeds. After the death of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), Allah (swt) had given Muslims such excellent successors, which had enabled the Muslim community to go from success to success because the Muslim believers were united and firmly held the Tawheed [oneness of God] and the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh).

And during this period of the Caliphs guided by Allah (swt), which lasted about 30 years, the glory of Islam was established not only in Arabia, but also in all corners of the world. Allah (swt) had promised a community of believers in Surah Al-Imran (3: 140) with one condition: “You will have the upper hand if you are (true) believers”. That is to say, you [i.e. Muslims] will only be victorious if you do not abandon your Islam.

In keeping with this promise, Muslims have achieved successes and victories in all areas and in all directions. When the situation after the death of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) was very critical for Islam, after the establishment of the Khilafat-e-Rashideen system, the flag of Islam was quickly upheld [in high regard] in eastern Afghanistan to the border of China and Tripoli and on the northern edge of East Africa and in the North to the Caspian Sea and to Ethiopia in the South. This progress and victory of the Caliphs guided and approved by Allah (by Divine Guidance) has surprised the world even today.

This was the time of the progress of Islam to such an extent when even very strong opponents found themselves powerless to stop the Muslims. Such was the greatness of Islam and respect for Muslims that even the great empires and emperors trembled when they heard their names (i.e. those of the Muslims) and they showed deep respect for them when they heard their names being spoken. The truth is that in this period of well-guided Caliphs, Islam received such great glory and eminence that even today an impartial historian will be dazzled when he analyzes that time [in history]. He cannot understand how the inhabitants of the desert conquered the world. He does not realize that this was the fruit [efforts] of the well-guided Caliphs. When Allah (swt) sends His Messenger with guidance, and when you hear him speaking (i.e., the Messenger of Allah, the Khalifatullah), in fact it is Allah [through him] Who is speaking and giving good news to believers.

I tell you: O Community of believers and those who do good! I tell you that the Caliph chosen by Allah i.e., the Khalifatullah, is a great divine blessing, so treat him with respect because he is someone that Allah (swt) sent among you and Allah (swt) speaks through him. As long as many of you remain firm on your Iman (faith) and continue to persevere in good deeds, Allah (swt) will continue to pour down His divine blessings upon you. So do not become ungrateful to Allah, to His divine blessing and do not look at divine revelations with disgust [and also do not play with revelations]. It is true that Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) and Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) are dead, but their light that Allah (swt) had sent has not been put out and this light will continue to light and continuously illuminate every nook and cranny of this world. It guides you to the right path, be it for women and men. The rays of this divine light are reflected through the Caliph of Allah - the Khalifatullah. So in abandoning the Caliph of Allah there is neither light nor true guidance.

So it’s time to stop sleeping and to stop turning a deaf ear [to the call of Allah and His Khalifatullah]. Come, come out of the darkness, the sun has risen. Don’t stay asleep! May Allah (swt) have mercy on you and grant you faith. Ameen Summa Ameen, Ya Rabbul Aalameen!
