A 'Khalifatullah' to Revive True Faith

In his Friday Sermon of 27 May 2022 ~25 Shawwal 1443 AH, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Muhyi-ud-din Al Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (aba) of Mauritius continues his  exposition upon a great spiritual malady afflicting almost all the world of religion today: the problem of worshipping false gods, or the practice of 'Shirk': people joining several deities- an angel, prophet or saints- along with the worship of the True Lord of Humankind. Unfortunately, idolatry has consumed much of the ancient religions. In several Muslim lands even today, the Dargah-related rituals mirror the practices of idolatrous communities of the past- away from the true legacy of Islamic monotheism. In this discourse, based on Qur'anic revelations and Prophetic traditions, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) eloquently elucidates the correct spiritual doctrine of Tawheed and urges folks to avoid 'Shirk' and associated  Satanic practices of deviance in everyday life, in religious practices.

Moreover, in this era of moral and spiritual corruption where people have lost their inner compass of righteous living, and consequentially, the world is afflicted with many maladies and calamities of all kinds, Hazrat Saheb points out that it is all the more important for humanity to move away from the frenzy of hedonism and return to its sense of balance and moderation by rediscovering the value of Divine-restraints and other higher values of spiritual realization. To guide human kind through this darkness, the All Merciful Lord, our God, has raised a chosen spiritual guide in our midst. In this context, Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) in this discourse, once again acknowledges his spiritual mission and Divine mandate, and brings forth to all our collective attention the Divine revelations that were vouchsafed to him almost 14 years ago concerning the appointment of a 'Khalifatullah', the model-exemplar of Faith; the high representative of Allah (swt) in the mantle of the prophets of the past- with all the spiritual titles attached with it, with a view to renew the true legacy of 'Tawhid' and to combat 'Shirk' in all its manifestations,  Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah.

'Tawheed' & 'Shirk'- 2

Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, I continue today my sermon on the Tawheed [Unicity] of Allah and the greatest Shirk, i.e. associating partners in the worship of Allah.

Last week I cited this Hadith:

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “May Allah curse whoever offers a sacrifice to anyone other than Him”. [Muslim]

That is, if a person says: “I vow to offer a sacrifice to such and such deity if I pass in the examination, or if I am relieved from a disease, etc.” This kind of vow is certainly a form of idolatry, because vows should be directed to Allah alone and absolutely not to anyone else, other than Allah. The right vow in such cases is to say: “I vow to offer a sacrifice to Allah, or I vow to Allah that I will pay to the poor this sum of money, or will give the needy such and such [things: money, food, clothes or anything else he has made the intention to give], if I succeed in the examination, or be relieved from disease”.

Calling for help, asking for refuge and invoking for support are also among the forms of divine services. One should not call for help, ask for refuge or seek for support from anyone else, other than Allah. The Holy Quran has stated: “I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn, from the mischief of whatever He has created”. (Al-Falaq 113: 2-3).

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Do not call me for help, but call Allah your Lord”. The Prophet (pbuh) said also: “If you ask for anything, ask for it from Allah alone, if you seek for help, seek it from Allah alone”. It is permissible for a person to ask for his fellow brother’s help or support if the matter for which he asks for help is within the scope of human ability. Beyond that, man must not ask for help from anyone save Allah. In all cases, it is strictly forbidden to ask for help or support from a dead man or an absent person, even if he were a prophet, a saint or an angel.

As for those who pretend to know that which is invisible, or foresee what is hidden in the future, they are unbelievers and flagrant liars. Even if what they foretell happens, it only happens by chance. Both Imam Ahmad and Al-Hakim related that the prophet had said: “Whoever goes to a diviner or a fortune-teller and believes in what he says, disbelieves in what had been revealed to Muhammad (pbuh). [Ahmad]

Trust “Tawakul”, submissiveness, and hope are also among the forms of worshipping. Man should never trust, hope or submit to anyone save Allah. It is regrettable that many of those who belong of Islam still commit idolatry and invoke others than Allah, i.e. notable men of authority, dead pious men, etc. They circumambulate the graves of dead pious men invoking them for help or to attain their needs. There is no doubt that this is a form of idolatry and whoever performs such an action is not a Muslim, even if he utters the testimony of Islam and performs all the fundamental duties of Islam. Allah has stated in the Quran:

“But it has already been revealed to you, as it was to those before you- ‘If you were to join (gods with Allah), truly fruitless will be your work (in life), and you will surely be among the losers.” (Az-Zumar 39: 66).

The Holy Quran states also: “Whoever joins other gods with Allah; Allah will forbid him the garden, and the fire will be his abode. There will, for the wrong-doers, be no one to help.” (Al-Maida 5:73).

Allah commanded His Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), to say to the people “Say: I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your God is one God: whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work in righteousness, and in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner.” (Al-Kahf 18: 111).

Those foolish men are really deluded by wicked ignorant scientists who have acquaintance in some religious branches, but ignore absolutely the basic principal of faith, that is, Tawheed, the Oneness of Allah.

Using deviated interpretations, false traditions imputed to the prophet and misled by lust, satanic dreams and all other forms of misguidance, those wicked pretenders call people to believe in the intercession of pious men and thus support idolatry by all means.

Those demons that follow blindly their ancestors and adopt the same behavior of ancient idolaters are unbelievers and evil-doers.

Allah ordered us to seek the means of approach unto Him. He says: “O you who believe! Be mindful of your duty to Allah, and seek the way of approach unto Him, and strive in His way in order that you may succeed.” (Al-Maida 5: 36)

And the means of approach which we are commanded to seek are well-known. They consist of performing righteous deeds, believing in the Oneness of Allah, i.e. establishing the Tawheed firmly in us, offering prayer [Salat], paying the Zakat, fasting during the month of Ramadan [Sawm], performing the pilgrimage to Mecca [Hajj] and striving with might and main [i.e. with as much effort as possible] for the cause of Allah [Jihad]. Invoking dead men in times of affliction and distress has nothing to do with the means of approach to Allah; it is rather against these means and contrary to the basic faith of Islam “Tawheed” or belief in the “Oneness of Allah”.

It is true that the prophets will be endowed with the favour to intercede for others, but they will never have such favour save by the will of Allah. Intercession is an exclusive divine prerogative. No one can ever intercede for another except by the will of Allah. Therefore, a true monotheist never invokes the dead for intercession, because a dead man can never remove harm or bring benefit, but in all cases the true Muslim invokes Allah saying :- “O Allah, I pray to you to bestow upon me the intercession of Your prophet on the Day of Judgement” or you could simply rely on your trust and faith in Allah Who knows your mind and acts very well and rely on Him alone to grant you His forgiveness, help and mercy in this life as well as in the life to come. This is the best option for the true believer.

Allah said in the Quran: “Say: to Allah belongs exclusively (the right to grant) intercession: To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: In the end, it is to Him that you shall be brought back.” (Az-Zumar 39: 45).

Taking graves as places of worship, kindling lights thereon, constructing buildings over them, plastering, decorating them with curtains, or performing prayers thereon, all these actions are flagrant heresy and are strictly prohibited by the noble prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Ignorant people who circumambulate the graves of saints and other people whom they perceive as such in Egypt, India, [even] Mauritius, as well as the cities of Iraq, and round other graves elsewhere, commit flagrant idolatry because they believe that these buried bodies have the ability to bring benefits or cause harm to them, and that they could help them attain their need. Such men are not only lost idolaters, but they are disgraced even if they pretend to be Muslims and do what Muslims do.

To be a true monotheist, it is not enough to utter that there is “No god save Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger”. But, it is essential for a Muslim to be aware of the meaning of this testimony and behave accordingly.

For those who embrace Islam and desist from false creed, it is enough for them to utter first the testimony of Islam. By doing this they become Muslims as long as they do not behave in a way contrary to the principles and morals of Islam.

Prophets and truly pious men are innocent of the idolatrous deeds of those who invoke them or ask them for help. They are aware of the fact that Allah had sent His messengers to call people to abandon worshipping any being save Allah, even if they were prophets or pious men. The way in which a true Muslim can show his love and affection to the prophets and pious men is to follow their good way, taking them as models in deeds and behaviour. It is a religious duty for every Muslim to love the prophets and pious men, but he must never worship them. Muslims believe that they not only should love Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), but they should also prefer him to their own selves, kins, sons and all other people.

To truly love Allah and His Prophet (pbuh) means to follow and execute that which they have commanded us to do. And in this era of spiritual darkness, in a darkened world where man has deviated from his righteous route leading to Allah, and where the world is tumbling fast in the abyss of despair with high cost of living, a crumbling world economy, pollution, flash floods, blood rains, hail, famine, earthquakes, tsunamis, and the eruption of never-seen-before viruses which takes on new forms and properties with each day that passes by, for example, the Covid-19 and multiple mutants, as well as other contagious diseases such as the Ebola, Zika virus, and the monkey-pox. These are but a few which I have mentioned; there are many more other such viruses and calamities which are destroying the world in many ways. One of the principal culprit is man himself whose wrong behaviour and wrong treatment of nature, and most of all, his rejection of the Tawheed of Allah and establishing himself on false deities have caused the divine wrath to descend in ways to either punish man completely or give him the chance to recognise His warnings and to change his behaviour before the final catalyst overcome him, i.e. his own death.

To enable him or to give him that chance, Allah sends to him [whole human race] His Messenger to give him the glad tidings of the better life in this world and the hereafter should he reform his conduct and become truly submissive to the ways of Allah, i.e. Islam. In this era of darkness, Allah has raised His own Caliph – Khalifatullah – with the sacred mission to revive the teachings of the Holy Quran and to spread His Tawheed in all nook and corner of the world. Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, Allah honoured me with His blessed revelations and chose me as His Muhyi-ud-Din [Reviver of Faith] and the Amir’ul Mumineen [Prince of the Believers] and after much trials, He made me His Chosen Khalifatullah.

In this era of Divine Manifestation, it is on the 26 May 2008 that Allah raised this humble self officially as His Khalifatullah. Prior to ordaining me to proclaim myself officially, He gave me the following revelations:

Tuesday 18 March 2008

“The best of men is the one who recognise My sign when it has been sent; The best of men is the one who recognise My Unicity, The best of men is the one who accept what I have sent to them for their sake without arguing.”

Revelations received on Wednesday 14 May 2008 after Maghrib

Laa Ilaahaa ill-lal-laah Aamanaa bi-Rasuulillah

Saturday 17 May 2008 after Study Circle

Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam ayy-yata khalafuu al Khalifatullah wa laa yargahuu bi anfusihim an-nafsih.

The members in Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam do not do well when they refuse to follow the Khalifatullah and when they prefer their own lives to his life.

[Here it is a warning to all the believers, the members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam at any point in time, especially during my lifetime not to give precedence to their own lives rather than following the true teachings of Islam as revived by the Khalifatullah of this era, i.e this humble self]

Yaa ayyuhan-naasu Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam qaatilullaziina ya-luu-nakun minal zalimun wal yajuduu fiikum gilzah.

O people of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, fight against the wrongdoers around you and make them see that you are firm (in your faith).

They criticise the people of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam who do not hesitate to do Dawa “Laa Ilaaha Illallah”, do Tarbiyyat, do Study Circle and they mock them. But it is Allah who will mock them and they will receive a severe punishment.

Monday 19 May 2008 before Tahajjud

Wa’izaa maaa un-zilat Ruhil Qudouss nazaraa Khalifatullah wal zaalimiina, wal Munaafiqinaa bazahum ilaa baaz.

Fallahu quluu-bahum bi-annahum qawmul laa yafqahuun.

When the Holy Spirit comes down upon the Khalifatullah, the wrongdoers and the Hypocrites look at each other.

Allah makes their heart deviate because they are people without understanding.

(This revelation repeated again on Tuesday 20 May 2008 after Tahajjud prayer before Fajr)

20 May 2008 (continue):

“Unzur kayfa zarabuu lakal amsaala fa-zallun falaa yastatii-uuna sabilaa”

Look what kind of example they give about you; they have lost their way (the right path) and they will not be able to find any other path.

You believe or not, it is the truth, the truth from Allah the great. Munir Ahmad Azim has been sent in this world, through My command to fulfil the prophecy of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as). The Khalifatullah is the guardian of the teaching of Islam, the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the teachings of the Promised Messiah and all the precedent prophets (as).

The Promised Messiah (as) has defined the Holy Quran. Now the time has come, where I have sent My Khalifatullah in this era to teach the world about Me and My beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

So, my dear disciples and all mankind, fourteen years have come to pass this that blessed event, and I pray that all my true disciples in this era and all my true followers up till the day of Judgement follow diligently and with the fear of Allah the true precepts of Islam, and never let their hearts be deviated from the right path by the King of Evil and all its associates. These try to compete with Almighty Allah to snatch away His creations from Him, but the truly blessed are those upon whom the Hand of Allah is found and who get the divine protection against all evils. This is the prayer which the true believers must do, seeking Allah and only Allah as Helper, Supporter, and Friend for He alone is the Cherisher of all the Worlds and our Creator, the Blessed and Overpowering One without any associate whatsoever in all creation. He is the Unique Lord, only ALLAH, High above all creations. Alhamdulillah.

May Allah bless all my true disciples and followers and cause you to increase in number, blessings and true faith and be numerous in number in this world and the forever abode as those truly devoted to Allah. Ameen, Summa Ameen, Ya Rabbal Aalameen.
