Serving Islam: Bai'at & Our Tasks

Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- Kerala (India) organized its Eighth Jalsa Salana at the historic Noor'ul Islam Masjid at Mathra on Sunday, 9th December 2018. As noted in an earlier post, the Jalsa this year was special for all its participants, including for the large delegation of brothers and sisters from Tamil Nadu, with the august presence of Hadhrat Muhyi-ud-Din Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba) of Mauritius among them. While Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) in his opening Speech elaborated on the significance of an annual spiritual congregation of brothers; in the concluding Speech, Hazrat Saheb (atba) called attention to important organizational tasks ahead for the brothers to keep in mind to act upon.

Bai'at at the hands of an Elect of God is nothing less than a covenant with Allah and it entails grave responsibilities on those who choose to strive in the sublime path of seeking proximity to the Divine presence. The social dimension of the worship of the Divine is to reach out to people so that they may also come to be aware of the great blessings on offer in the life to come, and also the felicity that God promises to those who strive in His path in their worldly life as well. Progressing forward as a community requires brotherhood, solidarity, sustained engagement and generous support for collective objectives. Each person can and should make contributions, including  financial sacrifices so as to leverage our collective capacity to reach out with the Divine Message to as many people as possible through the diverse projects identified by the Divine Elect (atba) of our times.

Marking the culmination of the Jalsa Salana Programme, a collective Bai’at Programme was also organized for the benefit of all members present on the occasion; with all brothers gaining an opportunity to take the Bai'at at the hands of Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba), Alhamdulillah. Hence, the Noor'ul Islam Masjid, Mathra once again became the venue of this historic event: Hadhrat Saheb (atba) explained the conditions of Bai’at and procedural stipulations therein and following this, everyone placed their hands on the hand of Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) and pledged their help and assistance to the Divine Manifestation of this era in the person of Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (atba), Summa Alhamdulillah.

Read the Closing Speech of Hadhrat Khalifatullah (atba) below:

My dear disciples,
Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

By the grace of Allah, Allah has chosen you in this era for a great work in the Grand Divine Plan. This Divine Plan consists of the revival of Islam, our religion. Many people have asked, ‘Why, if he says that He comes from Allah, must he operate under the name of a Jamaat. Why another Jamaat?’

To all those who have the same lines of thought I would like to say that first of all as Muslims, this humble self as well as all my disciples’ religion is truly ISLAM. Now, ISLAM as a religion is not an entity which can be used for one to register himself officially, especially in a non-Islamic country so that he can operate and construct buildings and preach the religion of Allah without any fear. As such Allah saw the need to elevate His Khalifatullah with a Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam so that we, His chosen servants can work effectively in a modern-day system which does not consider ISLAM as the prime and foremost religion of the people and society in general.

Therefore, by creating first the Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen and afterwards the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Allah wants that His chosen Khalifatullah and all his disciples should be able to work effectively for the overall cause of ISLAM, to bring about the realisation of ISLAM as one united religion. Insha-Allah.

For this, we need to make lots of sacrifices; sacrifices of our time and money; sacrifices of every type so that Allah be pleased with us and helps us further in our mission.

You should remember that each sacrifice you make in the way of Allah, Allah shall return it to you manifold. Allah says in the Holy Quran:

And among the people there is he who sells himself for the pleasure of Allah, and Allah is kind to His worshippers.” (Al-Baqara 2: 208).

The likeness of those who spend their wealth in Allah’s way is as the likeness of a grain which grows seven ears, in every ear a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He will. Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing.” (Al-Baqara, 2: 262).

From the verses which I have mentioned before you, it is clear that to earn the pleasure of Allah, you need to do sacrifices and one of those is financial sacrifice. Remember, poor and rich are all creatures of Allah, and whenever ISLAM reaches you, whether by birth, upbringing, or later conversion, everyone has to spend of what Allah has given him, whether little or great in number to further the cause of Allah. Allah encourages His servants to use the resources that He has provided them to pave the way for the success of truth, for the establishment of Islam in the world.

And for that, the believers are called to sell themselves in the way of Allah, i.e. they have to remain sincere to Him and His Messenger, and do such sacrifices and deeds which shall please Allah and help the cause of His religion, to help the cause of the true faith. And indeed the rewards of Allah for those who sacrifice themselves in many ways to reap His pleasure, those are the ones who shall accede to a special nearness to Him and enable them to earn His love, support and mercy. For verily those who make efforts in the way of Allah, who are hardworking into building and carving the future of Islam through their sacrifices, those are the ones who shall be the most happy in the hereafter.

In this era, in the times of a Khalifatullah, Allah has raised you my dear ones, has chosen you to accept the message, and bear in mind that He shall test you in many ways. He shall test you to see who among you are really sincere to their faith.

Alhamdulillah, in this present Divine Manifestation with the advent of His Khalifatullah, i.e. this humble self, Allah has sent a special blessing in the form of the Al-Azim Tafsir’ul Quran which represents the commentaries of the Holy Quran inspired to this humble self by Allah. Allah has been so kind as to bring forth His manifestations through this humble self to give to you all a clear explanation of the Holy Quran. Along with the inspiration of the Al-Azim Tafsir’ul Quran, He has also revealed to me the institution of a special fund called the Al-Azim Tafsir’ul Quran Fund’ which has as objective to collect as much funds as possible for the publications of the Al-Azim Tafsir’ul Quran in various volumes and languages, Insha-Allah.

For this initiative to be successful, Allah and His Khalifatullah need your help, to advance the cause of Allah through your sacrifices and mine as well. Both the Khalifatullah and his disciples, being all the special servants of Allah in this era, we need to sacrifice a lot for His cause. The Al-Azim Tafsir’ul Quran is such a commentary of the Holy Quran which gives a clear view of the verses of the Holy Quran and its application in our times. It may be that Insha-Allah, Allah reveals yet again, with the advent of another Messenger of Allah after me, another Tafsir (commentary) of the Holy Quran and which shall apply for the circumstances which happens in his era, but for this era, the Al-Azim Tafsir’ul Quran is such a Quran commentary which is filled with the light of Allah.

I pray, may Allah accept our humble initiatives, whether big or small, through our sacrifices for the realisation of the divine objective and our humble objectives as well, all for the sake of Allah. Spend in the way of Allah, and Allah shall spend on you. This is the teaching of the Holy Quran and of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) to us.

As it is mentioned in a Hadith compiled by Imam Bukhari: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says: ‘O Allah! Compensate (reward) every person who spends in Your cause’, and the other [angel] says: ‘O Allah! Destroy every miser’.” (Bukhari).

We should bear in mind then that our wealth and health, i.e. our efforts as human beings should be used for the progress of the cause of Allah. We have been created to worship Allah, and we have some duties towards Allah which we should never deny.

Therefore, it is my call to each one of you present to always respond “Labbaik” (Here I am), i.e. to respond positively to the call of Allah and to participate actively in financial sacrifices to help build the future of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and ISLAM as a whole. Through your humble sacrifices, financial or otherwise, whether through translation works, Dawa/ Tabligh and spreading the message of Allah through various means, for example, through websites, writing pamphlets, blogging etc., we can reach as many people as possible to make them aware of the truth, and Insha-Allah, through your hard-earned efforts, Allah shall illumine these people also. And through your humble financial sacrifices, lots of our Jamaat projects can come to completion, Insha-Allah.

This is my hope and prayer for our future, to get quality believers, who are fearful of Allah (i.e. have Taqwa) and who are upright, and who accomplish their duties to Allah in a wonderful way. And they respond always positively to the call of Allah and His Messenger, especially the Messenger of their times and they come forward to put the Grand Divine Plan into action with the blessings of Allah and under His graceful guidance. Insha-Allah. Ameen.

Collective Bai'at Programme

I hope to see people from every nook and corner of India and the world to come forward for the pleasure of Allah as one entity, as one body of Islam to help cement Islam and that we become true Muslims in every sense of the word, Insha-Allah.

So, my dear disciples of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, those who are ready to sell their souls to Allah – despite knowing full well that you are belong to Him anyway, and that nothing is truly yours, but that all belong to Allah – therefore, come forward yet again to renew your contract with Allah and His Khalifatullah, to reinforce your vows for the wellbeing of your own souls and Islam as a whole. Come forward, each one of you, who want to purify yourselves by being true to your contract in the Hands of Allah and that of His Khalifatullah of this era.

So, all of you, put your hand in my hand and repeat after me:

Aouzu billah-minash Shaytanir-Rajeem, Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim. I bear witness, that there is no god but God (Allah) and that Muhammad (pbuh) is the Messenger of God.

I enter into the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam at the hands of Hazrat Amir’ul Mumineen Muhyi-ud-Din Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim.

I believe him to have been sent from Allah (swt) to this world, with the Ruh’il Quddus (Holy Spirit/ Divine Revelations) for the reform of Islam and mankind as a whole.

I ask forgiveness for my sins and in future will try to guard myself against evils of every kind. I will never set up equals to God and will give my religion (ISLAM) precedence over all worldly considerations. I will do my best to observe all the commandments of Islam and will try to study, learn and teach the Holy Quran and Hadiths of the Holy Prophet. I consider Muhammad (on whom be the peace and blessings of Allah) to be the Seal of the Prophets and I acknowledge all the claims of the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (Peace of God be upon him) and the MESSIAH of this Era (i.e. Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim).

I will deem the propagation of Islam to be the first of my duties. I will obey you (O Khalifatullah) in everything good according to the Holy Quran, Hadiths, teachings of the Promised Messiah.

I beg for forgiveness from the Lord my God (Allah) for all my sins and turn towards Him. O my Lord! I have wronged my soul and confess my sins. Please forgive me, for there is no forgiver except You. Ameen!”

After the Bai’at (oath of allegiance), DUAHS (Silent prayer).
