Thirst for the Never-ending Divine
Presence
I wish I had time to explore
this finite world,
When the beauty of Allah's
creation strikes me,
I feel the awe in breathtaking
gasps,
The name of the Almighty on my
lips;
I feel like a traveller ready
to return to my Rab,
The world though beautiful but
nevertheless a
Temporal pass,
Unto a reality more real than my own soul,
The infinite will cover the
finite,
And my soul will be at rest,
Where Allah stands,
Where Allah resides,
Where the everlastingness of
His Presence
Overwhelms my fragile
presence;
From the world of man to the
eternal embrace,
I wait for the day of
reconciliation with my own Self,
The Overpowering Self Who
governs over all,
My heart and soul at His command,
My presence in His presence,
Feeling the everlastingness of
Him,
In a never-ending eternity,
Which no one else share,
Except Him and me,
Where my presence feels
oblivion,
In His Omniscience and
Omnipresence,
Where everything by His
Command,
Feels the reality of His Sweet
Mercy and Love.
