Preaching ‘Anti-Qadianism’

The advent of the Promised Messiah and Al Imam Al Mahdi Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian (1835-1908) was a ground-breaking episode in the preaching of Islam in modern times. For, no one has introduced or presented Islamic perspectives on foundational questions of spiritual humanity in a more persuasive or intellectually- appealing way than what Hazrat Ahmad (as) accomplished through his writings and sublime discourses over a span of three decades at the head of the Fourteenth century of Islamic calendar. More than what the ideological partisans within the community would ever be willing to admit publicly, the rich and sparkling legacy of Hazrat Mirza (as) is in accord with the spiritual and intellectual consciousness of the Ummah. Moreover, powerful worldly events and material conditions in subsequent decades in the Islamic and wider world after his death have forced the religious orthodoxy to revisit and even abandon many of their previously held, wild theories which Hazrat Mirza Saheb opposed in his times (including on the improper application of “Jihad” as indiscriminate violence and killing of all those who disagree with the Muslims), and these circumstances have also allowed them to follow, as it were in the footsteps of this revered figure of Islam and his disciples- the Ahmadis (or the Qadianis) when it comes to peaceful preaching of Islam in the West.

While Islamic tradition, history and contemporary events bear out the essential truthfulness and veracity of the claims of Hazrat Massih Maoud (as), as well as the spiritual and intellectual appeal of his arguments and perspectives on Islam, the religious orthodoxy continues with their preaching of hatred and violence against this trailblazer in the service of Islam in the modern world. Recently, Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim Saheb (aba) of Mauritius- the spiritual son and disciple of Hazrat Massih Maoud (as) in this era- addressed the critics in the West, and spelt-out the choices available to those who unfairly reject the message of Ahmadiyyat in this era.

'Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuhu.

There is a question coming from Pakistan, one of our brothers named Nizamuddeen Abdullah Khan…So he sent me something like a small booklet. So I replied to him:

“I have read your articles on the Qadianis in the Crescent International. So, I am afraid, it is full of your opinions only. Someone else could write a similar article with just the opposite view. If you see a hundred times that so and so is just a half - Islamic pundit and someone says:No, he is a complete Islamic pundit’ four  hundred times, it will prove nothing either way- for an impartial observer.

So, let us go to the roots of this matter and then let the details of your articles fall naturally into their proper position of the pattern. Perhaps, Mr. Nizamuddeen Abdullah Khan, you do not know that Islamic mission in the West and the world is a Qadiani idea.

When I came to know that - when I read your booklet sent to me, from what I have studied and then I made some researches before replying to you, there had been only three Islamic missions in the West. One was the Woking Mosque and Mission in 1912 under Khwaja Kamal-ud-Din Lahori. Another was the Berlin Mosque and Mission- 1922 under Maulana Muhammad Ali Lahori, and yet another was the London Mosque and Mission - 1924 under Hazrat Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad Qadiani.

All the three missions had been kept by the contribution of their respective members in the then India. And all the three men were the disciples of the Late Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani (as) (1835-1908), who believed in preaching Islam by peaceful reasoning and persuasion while the orthodox Ulamas and Mullahs believed in bloody Jihad.

One of the 5 or 6 pillars of Islam to bring the non-Muslim world to Islam instead of ‘jihading’ with this world against the British and the West, they now follow the footsteps of the hated Qadianis and get a peaceful Islamic mission including your professional activities in Britain which have proliferated in recent years, only since the petrodollars have gushed forth out of the earth for the Arabs whose scanty population and primitive national economy could not adsorb such a great wealth.

Hence, in order to save billions of petrodollars in western bank from turning stinking rotten or frozen ice, the Jihad pillar of Orthodox Islam had been demolished now. Besides that, the Orthodox Ulamas, Mullahs and Muslims are now either ‘jihading’ against each other or frantically getting out of their Islamic countries by millions in order to live and rejoice gladly as imitation of the Westerners in the un-Islamic or even anti-Islamic Britain and the West.

So, a Pakistani woman has had the nail on the head when she told me in the immigration office that: “Work or no work you get your bread and butter in this country.” Exactly! And what lies they would not tell to achieve this goal but never mind now [come] to the real point.

After living as an agnostic, socialist or communist, secularist, [and an] irreligious life for many years in Britain, so I can say [to her] to return to Islam on the true teachings – the Sahih Al Islam and become a Sahih Muslim. Only a year and a half ago, you had to research on Ahmadiyyat (or Qadianism, if you prefer), and have set out the relevant content in the booklet enclosed therein.

So, I have sent you a small [booklet] in writing – [by handwriting] [about] what you have said; this booklet offers to the Orthodox Muslims world three alternatives to choose from.

Refute the easily verifiable contentions in the small booklet which I have written to you and prove them false and [like you said] “I shall abjure the Ahmadiyyat and return to the Old Fold”. If you can do this, it will shatter Ahmadiyyat. Why do I say Ahmadiyyat or Qadianism? Because I still believe in the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), forever. This is a chance of your lifetime.

Or find it [as] the irrefutable truth from Allah and accept it. There is no harm in rectifying a mistaken belief, however held sincerely in the past as repentance is always acceptable and forgivable to Allah the Merciful.

Or unable to tackle the first and unwilling to stomach the second because of the old habit of the anti-Qadianism of more than a hundred years ago and therefore henceforth became hypocrites (Munafiqeen) till the Resurrection Day, ‘When Allah will tell them what they have been doing’, so says the Qur'an, when Allah said in the Holy Qur'an:

“Surely, either we or you are upon right guidance or in manifest error” [34:24].

“O believers! Fear Allah and be with the Truthful Ones” [ 9:120].
