'By the Will of Allah, my
message to you all today – for your Jalsa Salana in India, extending to early
next year – is to remind you of the essence of Islam, the importance of reform,
and the duty of every believer – and especially, all my sincere disciples in
this present era of Divine Manifestation – to revive the faith in their own
lives, households, and communities.
Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:
“Indeed, Allah
will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in
themselves.” (Ar-Ra’d 13:
12)
You should always bear in mind that Revival or Reform is not a matter of slogans or outward claims. It begins with the heart. Reform yourselves first, then your households, then your communities. Only then can Islam shine forth in the world as the true light of guidance.
As
bearers of the light of Islam, you should ask yourselves how are you truly
contributing to the expansion of Islam in the world, and not just in the world,
but within yourselves and your own households and countries? How many of you
are truly reforming your lives? How many are portraying Islam through your
actions, not merely through your names or words you utter, especially a promise
you made? How many are striving for the propagation of Tawheed, the Oneness of Allah, in the world?
Our
Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) said: “I have left two matters with you. As long as you hold to them, you will not go the wrong way. They are the
Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet.” (Muwatta – Imam Malik)
The
Qur’an and Sunnah are the twin foundations of Islam. Yet how many of you are
living by them daily? It is my appeal to you not to reduce Islam to mere
rituals performed without reflection. Let the Holy Qur’an guide your thoughts,
your speech, and your actions. Let the Sunnah
shape your character, your dealings, and your worship. Let the light of Divine
Revelations, of the revival of the true teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the
Sunnah revive your souls to Allah, to His proximity, and let your bodies of
clay and water act, not with passion or greed,
but with mercy and knowledge which comes from Allah. Always remember
Allah, and Allah will remember you. Remember Allah sitting, standing and while
lying down. Remember Allah while doing your works – establish an inner
communication with your Lord Most High, your Creator. Make Him a part of your
every happiness and sadness, your achievements and defeats. Seek His help
through Invocations (Duahs) and Prayer (Salat), and address
Him the state of your
hearts, even though Allah is the Indweller of your hearts and knows everything
which happens in your lives.
Allah
commands: “O
you who believe, remember Allah with much remembrance. And glorify Him morning
and evening.” (Al-Ahzab 33: 42-43)
Make
it your habit to remember Allah every day. Recite His Attributes in deep
meditation, for they are keys to connecting with Him. Let your tongues be moist
with Zikr, your hearts filled
with His love, and your actions reflect
His guidance.
Even
in this Jalsa Salana, seek Him, talk to Him, and listen to every discourse with
rapt attention. Do not take those messages, those teachings which are presented
to you as mere words meant only for Jalsa Salana. Let those words – if they
corroborate with Qur’an and Sunnah and all my teachings through Divine
Revelations, and the teachings of the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam
Ahmad (as), then let those teachings guide your hearts and souls to the peak of
salvation. Let those words guide you to a mighty reform, and a physical and
spiritual well-being throughout your lives.
Every
word spoken in the remembrance of Allah, and in the fulfilment of the duties of
Islam is rewarded by none but Allah. Remember what our Holy Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh) said: “The similitude of one who
remembers his Lord and one who does not remember Him is like that of the living
and the dead.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
Do
not let your faith be lifeless. Revive it through Remembrance of Allah. And bear in mind that Prayer, Fasting, Zakat
and other Charities, and other acts of worship and faith – all good deeds and
thoughts which make you come close to Allah – are not mere rituals. They are
acts of purification. Allah says:
“Establish prayer
for My remembrance.” (TaHa 20: 15)
The
Holy Prophet (pbuh) has furthermore said: “Indeed
the first deed by which a servant will be called to account on the Day of
Resurrection is his Salat (Prayer). If it is complete, he is successful and
saved, but if it is defective, he has failed and lost.” (Tirmidhi)
Therefore,
discipline yourselves in worship. Let your prayers be sincere, your fasting
humble, your charity generous, and your Qur’an recitation reflective. (Insha-Allah, the Holy Month of Allah –
Ramadan – is fast approaching us, and therefore as good hosts, we should
anticipate its arrival and prepare ourselves physically, morally and
spiritually in advance for it).
Furthermore,
the greatest duty of a believer is to proclaim the Oneness of Allah. Allah says
in the Holy Qur’an:
Spread
this message with wisdom and compassion. Show the world that Islam is a
religion of peace, justice, and mercy. Do not be content with personal reform
alone; strive to reform society by calling people to the truth.
I
have also taught you all many Duahs,
and the Qur’an and Hadiths are filled with supplications. Yet how many of you
are reciting them regularly? The Holy Prophet (pbuh) said: “Supplication (Duah) is worship.” (Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi)
So
make Duah your daily companion. Seek
forgiveness, guidance, and strength from Allah. Revive your souls through them,
and make it part of your Zikrullah (Remembrance
of Allah).
Remember
that as a true Muslim believer and True Disciples and Followers of this humble
self the Muhyi-ud-Din Al-Khalifatullah of this era, you should establish
yourselves on:
Ø Sincerity: By worshipping Allah alone, without
hypocrisy.
Ø Consistency: By being regular in remembrance and worship.
Ø Humility: By
recognising your dependence on Allah, and seeking proximity with Him, making
your lives fully dependant on Him and His guidance, and being obedient to Him.
Ø Service: By
serving humanity with compassion, and also guiding them to the best Way of Life, i.e. Islam.
Ø Reflection: By reflecting on the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, and applying them in your lives on a daily basis.
By doing so, you strive not to let Satan have any part of your souls. You make your minds focus on Allah and all that
truly connects you to Him.
Therefore,
O my beloved and sincere disciples in the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and all
Seekers of Truth who want to accede to Allah and be true submitters to Allah
(Muslims), never lose heart. The path of reform is difficult, but it is the
path of truth. Lift your morale by remembering that Allah is with those who
strive in His way.
Our
Beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) said: “The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak
believer, while there is good in both.” (Muslim)
Remember!
Strive to be strong believers, in your faith, frame of mind and ability to
carry the divine message to your immediate surroundings, i.e. your family,
relatives, neighbours and society at large, whether national and international.
Never
be discouraged by your small numbers. Today, you are small in number compared
to mainstream Islam, or Islam Ahmadiyyat, but you should remember that you are
among those chosen by Allah for the reformation of Islam in the world. You are
the ones who form part of a Divine Manifestation where Divine Revelation is pouring down from the open tap at the
fountain of your life. This era
is the era of guidance, good advice and spiritual revival and through your oath
of allegiance to Allah and His Khalifatullah, you have opened for yourselves a
new world of spiritual abilities. Therefore, strive to never lose it, for if
you lose it, you lose everything.
So,
keep strong in the Divine Manifestation of this era. Be ready for service and
give your time for Allah and for the expansion of Islam in the world. Remember:
The strength of a believer lies not in numbers, but in faith. Even a small
group, if sincere and devoted, can bring about great change. Be that group. Be
the torchbearers of true Islam.
The
revival of Islam is not a distant dream; it begins with you. Reform yourselves,
your households, and your communities. Live by the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah.
Remember Allah daily. Propagate Tawheed with
wisdom. Recite Duahs with sincerity.
Lift your morale and remain steadfast. And maintain the true ties of Islamic
Brotherhood and Sisterhood among you for Islam calls for Unity. Faith has
brought you together, and events like this Jalsa Salana are only a
stepping-stone towards your true goal: Becoming
Close to Allah, remaining sincere
to Him and
Spreading the Light of His Deen (i.e. Islam) in all corners of your hearts and souls as well as the world.whole
Allah
says in the Holy Qur’an: “And whoever strives only strives for himself. Indeed,
Allah is free from need of the worlds.” (Al-Ankabut 29: 7)
By
the Will of Allah, may Allah always guide you, strengthen you, and awaken you
physically, morally and spiritually for the great works which need to be
achieved for the propagation of Islam and Tawheed
in the world. May you be the instruments of revival, the bearers of truth,
and the exemplars of True Islam in this era of Divine Manifestation and further
also, and may your generations carry the light of faith you lit for the glory
of Islam, and be much more excellent in faith and true guidance. Insha-Allah, Ameen.
