One Ummah, One Leader- 3

Every Muslim must keep in mind that Allah’s promise to preserve the Qur’an until the Day of Judgement is a true promise. Reflect well that Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) came as the Qur’an in flesh and blood – that is to say, he was a perfect representation of the Noble Qur’an.

Therefore, the Muslim world and all seekers of truth must realise that the truth of Islam cannot be erased! No matter how many conspirators try to destroy Islam, seeking at all costs to divide Muslims, place obstacles between our unity, and create wars so that we fight amongst ourselves – there always comes a point when Allah overturns their plans and removes the blindness from the eyes of Muslims, guiding them back to the straight path.

It is true that Muslims have fallen into the trap of division for several centuries, but Allah, in one way or another, has sent reformers among the Muslim Ummah so that people living in those times may receive Allah’s guidance and follow it. The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) carried this sorrow within him; he knew through revelation what would happen after his death. And so, he warned his Ummah – his Companions and those who would come after – during his lifetime, and his words and advice remain as guidance for the Ummah so that we may all come together again and set aside our differences, and to allow Islam to triumph in the battle between good and evil.

Remember well: Allah will never leave the Muslim Community without a guide. Every time the forces of evil try to break Islam and cause people to abandon it, on the other side, Allah causes thousands of non-Muslims to recognise the truths of Islam and enter it with humility. Sometimes, those born into Islam do not know its value, while those who journey towards Islam earn the honour of knowing its true worth through their search for truth. These are the ones whom Allah calls Ulul-al-Baab, people of true intelligence. Though born into non-Islamic backgrounds, they strive to distinguish between the faith of their childhood (taught by their parents) and the truth. In their search, they discover Islam and submit themselves just as all prophets and their (believing) peoples did to the will of Allah. They seek Allah’s guidance so that He Himself may guide them to the truth and keep them on the straight path.

We must remember that Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) prophesied that in the Last Hour, Muslims would become so ignorant that even if Jews and Christians entered the hole of a lizard, they would follow them. The lizard here symbolises hypocrisy and misguidance.

Keep in mind that those who truly follow the original teachings of Hazrat Ibrahim (as), Hazrat Musa (as), and Hazrat Isa (as), they are the true Muslims. But over time, when they deviated, Allah sent them the Seal of the Prophets, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), to guide them to true Islam. Allah Himself chose to name His religion (the true path) “ISLAM.”

But this does not mean that everyone born into Islam is necessarily a true Muslim. Allah tests people in various ways to truly show who deserves to be called “Muslim.” Just as Allah tested the peoples of all past eras, He will continue to test His servants to know who follows His commandments and deserves a place among His true servants.

What the Ummah fails to understand – or refuses to understand – is that although Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) is the Seal of all Prophets, Allah will continue to send His prophets within this perfected religion to fulfil His promise of preserving the truth of Islam and of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) until the Day of Judgement.

This must be clearly understood: when the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) said he was the “Last Brick” (as he said in one of his Hadiths), he was not indicating that no other prophets would come after him, but rather that in this present universe, he is the greatest prophet, and the Law he brought is the final Sacred Book revealed by Allah for the welfare of humanity. He came to complete this spiritual structure with such laws that, if followed by all people, they would remain on the straight path. He indicated that he is the last messenger and prophet to whom Allah revealed the perfect Code of Law – a code that will remain until the Day of Judgement.

But what do we see today? The Qur’an is indeed present, but are Muslims reading it, understanding it? Though the Qur’an remains preserved, Satan has caused people of this Ummah to forget it and neglect it. So, will Allah allow this religion and the Qur’an – which He promised to preserve – to fall into oblivion? Will He allow the ignorant to trample upon the Qur’an and the prophetic traditions of Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh)? Certainly not! Every time man thinks he can control Allah, Allah overpowers him, puts him in his place, and shows him that despite thinking himself intelligent and seeking to plunder the riches of this world, he forgets that one day he will return to dust and leave all of this behind.

Thus, Allah sends His Khulafa (Representatives) – people like His first Adam – who are infused with divine breath and come with Revelation (Wahy) – not a revelation that contradicts the Qur’an, but one that brings people back to the Qur’an!

People seek the Khilafat among themselves, and when someone seeks this position of honour – not because they care about the unity of the Ummah, but only for the power and prestige the Khilafat can give – then Allah makes another plan, a better plan, a perfect plan. He raises His own Khalifa, a Khalifa whom He promised in His Qur’an, a Khalifa who will come each time, in each era when Muslims fall into ignorance, when those who claim to be Muslims cause Islam to lose its value. Then, Allah takes matters into His own hands and chooses and sends His own Khalifa – a Khalifa who resembles His beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh), whose message was universal. Thus, all prophets and messengers of Allah who come after Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) carry a universal message. Each era will witness this miracle, this divine favour.

While the Ummah tears apart believers in Islamic messengers, it is time they open their eyes and awaken. Who is their true enemy? Islamic messengers or Satans who seek to lead people astray from Allah’s path? But what are these Satans doing? They are making those who call themselves Muslims believe that prophets and Islamic messengers are Satans who want to mislead them from Allah’s path. But who truly benefits from these lies? It is the Mullahs and priests of all faiths on earth who want people to always consult them and rely on them. They want people to make them intermediaries between themselves and Allah, but the truth is that man needs no intermediary between himself and his Lord.

If a person knows how to follow the precepts of Islam properly, then he will surely reach Allah. There will be trials upon trials (like exams of his faith), but if he remains firm on Allah’s path, and if he happens to be born in an era when Allah sends a new Adam, and he takes this as a divine blessing and follows this divine guide, then he will progress continuously. Sometimes it may seem he is losing, but each time he chooses Allah and His Messenger over the rest of the world, no one can imagine the excellent rewards Allah has reserved for that person.

Allah’s Khilafat is not comparable to a Khilafat that man tries to establish himself. In his thirst for power, man tries to deceive people in Allah’s name, claiming he seeks the welfare of the entire Ummah, but such a person does not realise that Allah knows who truly deserves the Khilafat and who will do that work best.

Blessed are those who have recognised Allah’s Khalifa in this present century. I hope – and I pray – that you teach your children to remain on this straight path, and that they also teach their children this same path, because if they fall short in this mission that Allah has given them, then Allah, as is His Sunnah (practice), will raise His own Khalifa to bring them back to the right path. Blessed are all those who live through moments of Divine Manifestation, when Allah sends the Ruh’il Quddus (Holy Spirit/ Divine Revelation) for a renewal in the world. Insha-Allah, this is my prayer – that my followers remain sincere and honest and true Muslims throughout their lives, and that they leave behind a pious lineage who will recognise the divine light when it appears in their world. Insha-Allah, Ameen.
