Alhamdulillah, with the approval and blessed permission of Imam- Jamaat Ul
Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir A. Azim (aba) of
Mauritius, the Thirteenth Jalsa Salana (Annual Meeting)
of the Kerala Jamaat took place at the
historic Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra, on 23-25
December 2022, Summa Alhamdulillah.
In addition to the members in Mathra; brothers and
families from Pappankulam, Karunagappally and Alappuzha, and Delhi also could
reach the Masjid venue ahead of the
commencement of the three-day Programme.
On the first day, all brothers and sisters collectively offered the Tahajjud
prayers at 4.45 am, and it was followed later, at 5:10 am, by the Namaz-e-Fajr. Mukarram Amir Jamaludin
Raother Saheb conducted a Dars-ul-Qur’an,
immediately after the Fajr Namaz.
After morning works and breakfast, there was a round of Waqar-e-Amal around the Masjid
premises and surroundings. Later, Mukarram Amir Saheb led the Jumuah prayers, and for the Friday
sermon, the Amir Saheb chose to speak on “the exemplary life of the Holy
Prophet (sa)”- explaining a classic Qutubah of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) on
the theme for the benefit of all members present.
At 6.45 pm, the third and
final Session of the day started. Fazil Jamal Saheb chaired the spiritual
education session for the benefit of all members. Recitation of the Holy Qur’an
and its Malayalam Translation was done by Saheb Al Faraj Zachariah Ibn Zain. Janab Sadiq Ali Saheb offered a welcome speech for all members present at the meeting. Zaki Mubarak Aziz Raother and Munir Ahmad Azim recited Nazms on the occasion. Mukarram Sulfikar Ali Saheb took a class on certain sacred traditions (Hadith) of the Holy Prophet (sa) on the importance of taking responsibility for widows in society. Amir Jamaluddin Saheb delivered a speech on the sanctity of family life and balancing of reciprocal obligations. The Chair offered some concluding observations, and the session ended with Duahs led by the Amir Saheb.
On 24th December,
Day-2 of the Jalsa, members performed collective Tahajjud prayers at 4:45 am.
Later, Namaz-e-Fajr was offered at 5.10 am. This was followed by Dars-ul-Qur’an session with the Amir Saheb.
Brothers did Waqar-e-Amal in the surroundings of the Masjid/Markaz complex in
the morning hours.
Soon after Zuhr Namaz, the second session of the
day commenced: all members listened to an explanation in Malayalam of the recent
Mauritius national Jalsa Address delivered by Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam
Hazrat Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba), Alhamdulillah,
Summa Alhamdulillah. Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba), in the special Jalsa
Message to the Jamaat, underscored the importance of being grateful to God for all
His blessings. Hazrat Saheb (aba) also called attention to the power of
patience and other deep spiritual resources of Islam: remembrance of Allah;
prayer; steadfastness without descending into despair or ill thinking; Trust in
the promise of Allah concerning the destiny of the believers; confidence and
self-surrender to Will and Mercy and Grace and Help of Allah; and in crossroads
of life, sticking to the advices and good counselling of the Elect of God (aba)
among you so as to remain in the Right Path.
In the evening after Maghrib-Isha Namaz, members assembled for the final meeting of the day. DA Zainul Abdeen Saheb chaired the session. Sadiq Ali Saheb recited the Holy Qur’an. Mukarram Sulfikar Ali Saheb recited a devotional song in Tamil language. Mukarram Amir Saheb led a conversation around the spirit of financial sacrifice in Islam. All members participated in the discussion, including the young members, Alhamdulillah. Everyone agreed that financial contributions for the sake of God and in service to humanity are among our foremost religious obligations and that we should persevere and expand our hearts in pursuit of our quest for salvation and Divine mercy, and that together we can construct the Jamaat of our dreams through individual and collective sacrifice, Insha Allah, Aameen.
On Sunday, the third day of the Jalsa, brothers
present offered Tahajjud Namaz. After
Fajr Namaz, Darsul Qur’an with Amir Saheb took place. Brothers spend time in
doing Waqar-e-Amal in the premises of
the Masjid complex. The Siraj Makin Djawaharatul Kamal members assembled at the Markaz. And Sadr Fauzia
Jamal-Zain Saheba and the team held their special Session of the Jalsa.
In the evening, after Maghrib-Isha’ prayers, members assembled for the final session.
Sadiq Ali Saheb was on Chair. Mukarram Sulfikar Ali Saheb recited the Holy
Qur’an. Fazil Jamal Saheb delivered a speech on the ‘Role of Taqwah in Spiritual Life’. The speech
sough to remind everyone that Islam’s spiritual message is one that is
inextricably intertwined with a call to being mindful of God in all our actions.
Janab Saleem Saheb of Alappuzha spoke briefly about the recent deaths of a couple of persons who made a unique and lasting contribution to the initial spreading of the message concerning the Divine mission of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) in the early days: the late Mr. Abu Baker of Alappuzha and the late Mr. Sharief of Karunagappally: May their souls rest in peace.
Saheb Al Faraj Zachariah Ibn Zain made a
heart-melting speech on the significance of belief in God and the beneficial
effects of Tahajjud prayers’. Illustrating
his points with reference to his own spiritual experiments and the acceptance
of his Duahs in real life, this young
man- all of 14 years, yet who was appointed by Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) to
the post of media-in charge for the Kerala Jamaat’s Malayalam productions- made
a moving impression on many senior members with the clarity of his beliefs and
sincerity of efforts in spreading the message of Allah (swt), Masha Allah, Alhamdulillah.
Sadiq Ali Saheb
recited a beautiful spiritual poem in Malayalam. The Sadr Siraj Makin also
offered a broad picture of the deliberations that took place earlier in the day
when the sisters all met for their special session. Munir Ahmad Azim recited
portions of Surah Ar-Rahman, and Zaki
Mubarak recited an Arabic poem in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa).
In his Jalsa closing speech, the Amir Saheb once again
reminded members about our obligations, tasks and duties ahead. For the
reconstruction of the broken world, he exhorted that we need to summon all our
inner reserves and energy and equip ourselves to rise up to the mighty
challenge of reforming and purifying our own evil-prone selves- first and
foremost. He hoped that gatherings like our Jalsa are meaningful, as it reminds
us of our grave duties and of the larger challenges in our spiritual journeys.
Members stayed at the Markaz for the night, and on 26th
December 2022, after Tahajjud, Fajr Namaz
and later breakfast in the morning, the brothers and their families returned to
their respective places with renewed spiritual energy, Alhamdulillah.
