A Special Sign of Saintliness
Many members of the Jamaat experienced special Divine signs and manifestations all
through the time of Hazrat Khalifatullah (aba) in India, Alhamdulillah. While detailed reports from disciples and followers in Tamil Nadu and Kerala are expected shortly, Insha Allah; this writer wishes to humbly
share here a unique mystical experience that one personally and directly witnessed while travelling in the north of India along with the chosen Elect of Allah of our times.
After
completing the visit to meet with the members of the Jamaat and followers in the
south of India- Chennai, Tirichirappally, Sirajum Munir Masjid at VK Puram, and
Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu; Mathra Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Alappuzha, and Wayanad in Kerala- Hazrat
Khalifatullah (aba) and Team reached Delhi as part of the north India visit,
ahead of going to Chandigarh, and also to Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.
For
readers who may wish to be familiar, Hazrat Imam Rabbani (ra) [1564-1624] was the Mujaddid of the Islamic world during the
turn of the second millennium of the Hijri Calendar, a time when there were
eschatological expectations of the advent of a Grand Reformer in the world of
Islam. Despite the hyperbole and related exaggerations of the contemporary
Ahmadis concerning their own mundane [man-elected ‘Khilafat’ arrangement as the
re-establishment of Islamic Khilafat after 14 centuries (!); the fact remains
that the Muslim Ummah was always served by Mujaddidin: Divinely-inspired, special individuals
who renewed the days of the Holy Prophet (sa) through holding onto original and
pure Islamic teachings in their own respective times. Mujaddid Alif Sani (ra)
belonged to the holy lineage of Islamic Ulema as a Farooqui, and being a recipient of holy visions and Divine
communion and communications, he renewed the pure doctrines of Islam in his own
time- a fact that is established by the continuing work of different Sufi
orders in India, broader South Asia and elsewhere around the world, Alhamdulillah.
A Prayer and a Mystical Encounter
According
to the Holy Qur’an, Allah (swt) assigns a ‘grave’ to all dead souls, and there
is a ‘barrier’ that separates them from the living until the Day of
Resurrection and Judgement. ‘Then in due course He causes him to die and
assigns a grave to him.’ (80:22). ‘And behind them (the deceased ones) is a
barrier until the day when they shall be raised again.’ (23:10) Only under
the special will and command of Allah (swt) can anyone meet with the departed
souls, albeit in a visionary, mystical encounters such as recorded in the traditions
of the Holy Prophet (sa) and the great saints of Islam. Like the Promised
Messiah (as) recorded:
‘By
God I have seen with mine own corporal eyes the sublime beauty and excellence
of the Holy Prophet while sitting in my house. In my early youth I saw his
blessed face. Again, while fully awake, I was honoured again with a meeting of
the Holy Prophet.’ (Aina Kamalat-e-Islam)
‘I have met the Prophet Jesus (peace be
on him), many times in visions, and he had meals with me at the same table.’ (Nur'ul
Haq, part 1)
Mystical
experiences of the aforesaid nature are recorded in the books of other
great saints of Islam as well. Be that as it may, as a living servant of God
with a clear mission to revive the true spirit of Islamic teachings and to renew the
Days of the Holy Prophet (sa) among the people in our own times, Hazrat
Khalifatullah’s meeting with a long-departed Mujaddid at his Maqbarah, and
the conversations of a visionary nature that they have had in that transcendental
state is yet another testimonial to the deeper roots and foundational truthfulness
of this Divine Manifestation in Islamic spiritual tradition, and to the profound station of our Imam (aba) as
a ‘luminous moon’ [‘Qamaran Munira’] projecting the Light of Muhammad [‘Noor-e-Muhammadi’]
in this era, with Hazrat Saheb (aba) joining a league of
extraordinary men- a blissful chain of grand saintly stars in the spiritual heavens
of Islam, Alhamdulillah, Summa
Alhamdulillah.
As they return to their homeland after a visit that provided so much spiritual joy and happiness to so many souls and blazing a trail of good memories among them to cherish for a life time, we invoke God's grace and blessings upon them: may Allah (swt) grant Hazrat Saheb (aba) and Hazrat Ummul Mu’mineen, - and also the members of pious household who could not join them in this blessed visit-, good health and long life to steady the course of the Noah’s Ark of this era, and may all our pious wishes for the progress and welfare of the Jamaat find fulfillment in the best of ways in the times to come, Insha Allah, Aameen.
