Those who enjoy financial ease (be they at the top of the ladder or among the middle class) always wish to gain more; they aspire to become millionaires, even billionaires. Those who suffer in poverty dream of a comfortable home and sufficient means to meet the needs of their household and close family with dignity. Even those in the middle class long for a better life, especially to ensure a stable future for their families; so they aim not only for the immediate comfort of their household, but also make provision for their future.
The Vision of Allah in the Afterlife
“Glory be to Him (Allah)! His
greatness surpasses all that they (meaning the people – the disbelievers, the
idolaters) describe. He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth from
nothing. How then could He have a child when He does not have a spouse? He has
created everything and knows all. That is Allah, your Lord. There is no deity
besides Him. He is the Creator of all things; therefore, worship Him. He is in
charge of everything. The eyes cannot perceive Him, yet He perceives all eyes.
He is kind to us and fully aware of everything.”
(Al-Anam, 6: 102-105)
The human mind’s conception and perception of Allah are very limited. The intellect cannot fathom the true nature of His existence. Allah is Omniscient, and Omnipresent, meaning He is everywhere, and He hears and knows everything. Nothing escapes His knowledge. One may attempt to conceal oneself, but no one can ever hide from Allah.
The Duahs of the Holy Prophet (sa) & The Promise of Allah- Part 3
'O you who believe! Remember
Allah with much remembrance. And glorify Him morning and evening. It is He Who
blesses you, as do His angels, to get you out of darkness into light, and He
has always been Merciful to the believers. Their greeting on the Day they meet
Him will be, “Peace!” And He has prepared for them an honourable reward. O
Prophet, We have sent you as a Witness and a Bearer of glad tidings and a
Warner, as one who calls people to Allah by His leave, and as a light-giving
lamp. Give good news to the believers that they will have a great bounty from
Allah. Do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites. Overlook their
annoyances, and put your trust in Allah. For Allah is sufficient to take care
of all matters.' (Surah
Al-Ahzab 33: 42-49)
Alhamdulillah, Summa
Alhamdulillah, I am continuing
my Friday sermon today on the spiritual beauty of the Holy Prophet Hazrat
Muhammad (pbuh), and how his status, prayers, and the promises made by Allah to
him have been fulfilled and will continue to be fulfilled. I had also
highlighted how he was the greatest Caller to Allah (Dai-Illallah), and
how we too, starting with myself as the Khalifatullah of this era, must strive
to become excellent callers to Allah in the image of our beloved Prophet Hazrat
Muhammad (pbuh).
Like I was saying, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) is not the biological father who produced any surviving male child who came directly from him – he is not the father of any of you in this aspect, but he is certainly a prophet of Allah and a father who produces prophets, such [special] people and prophets who deserve Allah’s blessings.

These verses from Surah Al-Ahzab that I have just recited come right after the mention of Khataman Nabiyyin and it is well connected with the subject of Khataman Nabiyyin.
The Duahs of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) & The Promise of Allah- Part 1
That great personality
who is the most perfect of all law-bearing and non-law-bearing prophets is none
but Muhammad (pbuh). He was born in Arabia at a time when Arabia and the rest
of the world were plunged into the darkness of infidelity to Allah. Idolatry
was rampant and caused havoc everywhere. It was him, a very humble and weak
human who was moreover an orphan – of both mother and father – from his early
childhood, who enabled a great spiritual revolution in the world, not just in
Arabia.
Bear in mind that Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) did not let himself be attracted by gold and silver, by the superficial riches of this world. He preferred sacrificing for His Ummah so that they [i.e. all of us, his followers] may harvest the good of the hereafter as well as the pleasure of Allah when they [we, Muslims] follow in his footsteps.
'Truly,
We revealed this on a Night full of blessings...’
(44:4)
We revealed it on the ‘Laila-tul-Qadr’ [the Night of Destiny, the Blessed Night & filled with virtues] (97:2)
Such divine remembrance has many beneficial consequences for those who engage in such special supplications: the heart becomes sensitive, and the sensory organs become receptive to true values of life. When the God-gifted 'free will' is channelled to focus on abiding by holy prescriptions; when divine commands become the guiding code of conduct, such a believer triumphs over satanic temptations; peace and tranquillity of heart permeates the person and his surroundings; angels descent to witness and appreciate his spiritual practices in pursuit of Divine countenance, and the believer may gain a rank even above that of angels along with the approval and pleasure of God, notes Hazrat Saheb (aba).
Read the Friday Sermon Below:
“O you who believe, do not be distracted by your money and your children from remembering Allah.” (Al-Munaafiqun, 63:10)
For today’s Friday Sermon,
the penultimate Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, the theme I have chosen is
on the Laila-tul-Qadr, as well as the Duah that our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) has taught us
on this occasion.
He taught this Duah to his wife Aisha (ra) so that she
and the entire Ummah could take advantage of this illustrious night in divine
forgiveness, and thus imitate him in the accomplishment of this great Duah. The Duah is as follows: “Allahumma Innaka Afuwwun tuhibbul afwa fa’
fu anni.” The translation of this Duah is as follows: O Allah, You are Forgiving, You love to forgive,
so forgive me.
So, let us see the words that our beloved Prophet (pbuh) used to beg forgiveness from Allah, and that according to him is the greatest Duah that one can recite during the duration of this blessed night.
