Asad Shah Murder and the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya

The Murder of Asad Shah Sahib

Before ending my sermon today (Khutba Jumu’ah), I would like to say few words on Syead Asadul Islam Shah Sahib who was murdered March 24 last. He was born in Rabwah on 31 January 1976 (he just reached his 40 years) and he was the son of Syead Naeem Shah who was a Pakistani. Asad Shah Sahib did his FSc at the Nusrat Jahan Academy in Rabwah and his family went to establish in Glasgow, Scotland in 1998. He had a business which he ran and was regular in his financial contribution in the Jamaat (Ahmadiyya), and I have even learnt that he was in Wassiyat and that according to the Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, he was regular in Ijtema and Jummah.

Motive Behind the Murder

That imbecile who stabbed and killed him 30 times with a kitchen knife was 32 years old Tanveer Ahmad, an extremist who worked as Taxi driver. (Inset on the right: first pictures of the accused Tanveer, who made a public statement on his responsibility for the murder). He confessed to killing Asad Shah Sahib not because he wished the Christians Happy Easter, but he confessed during his private hearing that he killed Asad Shah Sahib because he proclaimed to be a prophet and thus did not show any respect to prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The newspapers (the media in general) have seized this opportunity to state that it was because of his wishing his fellow Christian citizens that a Muslim of another sect came to kill him. For the moment, Tanveer Ahmad has appeared twice in the High Court, the first at the end of March and the second time on 05 April 2016 wherein he confessed to killing Asad Shah Sahib. He moreover instructed his lawyer, John Rafferty to make an official statement on 06 April 2016 to clarify his real reasons behind the murder, the main cause being he declared himself to be a prophet. There are other details which have been mentioned in that statement to justify his crime.

Murder for 'Blasphemy' in Islam?

In other words, he targeted the Jamaat Ahmadiyya whereby according to his line of thoughts, as well as those of the other fanatical Mullahs of the group Khatme Nabuwwat’ and the others from the Anti-Ahmadiyya circles, prophets cannot come after the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh). And thus these people have published declarations that Asad Shah Sahib was a false prophet and they even posted videos online in November 2014 to denounce that he was a false prophet. And their websites also are filled with hatred against Islam Ahmadiyyat. For them, we Ahmadis are out of the pale of Islam.

God Forbid! Is that the teaching of Islam? Is that what Allah (swt) and His Messenger (pbuh) have taught you? If he has declared himself to be a prophet and if he is false (in his claim), then he is accountable for that claim/ proclamation to Allah alone. Is that the way of a good Muslim (to kill)? When have they receive the patent to judge the faith of others. Do you give the guarantee that you are yourselves on the right path and that your faith is firm, that your belief in the teachings of Islam is as solid as concrete? Is that barbarous deed committed truly Islamic?

Through their barbaric actions, they are depicting a very wrong image of the teachings of Islam. It is those kinds of extremists who are committing anti-Islam deeds, and are attacking and killing innocent people in various countries. Is that the teaching of Islam?

Are you taking yourselves as greater judge than Allah (swt)? Allah (swt) have put it clear in the Quran that it is He alone who knows the hearts of His creatures, His servants, and that the domain of faith and to judge faith belongs only to Him, not to others who are declaring and judging people as non-Muslims. Verily, through their twisted and wicked minds, they are trampling all the more the true teachings of Islam.

The Khalifatul Massih on the Murder

Now, let us analyse what the fifth Khalifatul-Massih Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad had said in his Friday Sermon dated 01 April 2016 (last Friday). He said that Syead Asadul Islam Shah Sahib of Glasgow had been martyred (Shaheed) because he was an Ahmadi. He attained to Shahadat (martyrdom) on that basis alone.

But what shall we qualify those who are dying at the hands of those kinds of extremists and terrorists? Are they not Shaheed

(Some months ago) Muslim brothers and sisters went to accomplish the fifth pillar of Islam (Hajj) for the cause of Allah and many of them died on the Holy land! Were they not Shaheed?

The fifth Khalifatul-Massih ventured further to state that Asad Shah Sahib went through various phases of mental health problems which caused him to shift somewhat. But his near and dear family members described Asad Shah Sahib as a brilliant and intelligent peace-loving man. Who is more trustworthy in that respect (in knowing closely Asad Shah Sahib)? The Khalifatul-Massih or his near family? Which is which? How can the Khalifatul-Massih issue such statements? Had he made Asad Shah Sahib underwent treatment or has he in his possession his mental certificate from the mental asylum? Can a mentally imbalanced man manage a business during which he meets people daily and give them the message of peace and unity?

The Duplicity of the Nizam-e-Jamaat on "Expulsion" Issues

Bear in mind brothers and sisters that the Jamaat Ahmadiyya has also closed the door to the advent of prophets and divine revelations after Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) and Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). On the lips there are sweet words, filled with peace, but in deeds there is brutality and hatred. They criticize the other Muslims when these days they are also manifesting themselves in an unislamic way, like the other Muslims who criticised and persecuted Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as).

Then how can Asad Shah Sahib was receiving revelations from Allah and claiming to be a prophet also and the fifth Khalifatul-Massih and his officials have not taken sanctions against him? There was no boycott or persecution? And the fifth Khalifatul-Massih stated that Asad Shah Sahib was attached to Khilafat, this statement being according to the report of his regional Amir in Glasgow. And he furthermore stated that some people thought that Asad Shah Sahib had left the Jamaat and Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib was giving them the guarantee that he did not leave the Jamaat and was an Ahmadi and he was regular in all programmes of the Jamaat.

The fifth Khalifa is doing some cover-ups in the matter of Syead Asadul Islam Shah Sahib. These days in the Jamaat of Hazrat Massih Ma’ud (as) there are double standards (different judgements).

'Social Boycott' in Mauritius & Protection for Pakistanis?

As for us (in Mauritius), because I receive revelations from Allah, we (I and those who have believed in me) were expelled from the Nizam-e-Jamaat and the revelations of Allah have been dubbed as “so-called revelations” and the Khalifatul-Massih at the time sent Laanat (curse) on us and told us to go and form our own separate Jamaat. Moreover, we have been the target of boycott. The Ahmadis were instructed not to bid us Salaam or invite us in familial gatherings. They mingle in our familial and private lives, and they even barred us from entering the mosques. If ever a family member (Ahmadi) invited us for example, for a wedding, the Amir and missionary-in-charge and the other Ahmadis received instructions to get up and leave the place, and moreover sanctions are taken against the one who invited us. How unfortunate for them to have dismantled the teachings of religion (Islam)?

Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) gave warnings on the subject in his farewell sermon; nobody is more superior to the other. But here we are seeing that Pakistani people are protecting Pakistani like themselves and they are covering lots of things to make believe that they are really very sad over the demise of Syead Asadul Islam Sahib and the fifth Khalifatul-Massih remained silent over the revelations and proclamations as prophet of Asad Shah Sahib and only stated that he had only mental health problems and even qualified him as Shaheed (martyr) because he was an Ahmadi!

Namaz-e-Janaza  and the Ahmadis

The fifth Khalifa led his absentee Namaz-e-Janaza (funeral prayers) on 01 April after Jumu’ah prayers, even before the funeral prayers done in Glasgow by his family members.
Here in Mauritius, those who believed in the divine revelations which I was receiving at the time and who died (in the Divine Manifestation), the Ahmadis applied boycott and stood at a distance and did not pray the Namaz-e-Janaza, even though the dead person was their own blood relative.
What I find astonishing again is that Syead Asad Shah Sahib was in Wassiyat. Then why not bury him in the Bahishti Maqbara (or will you put his name on a memorial plate there)? And his actual Namaz-e-Janaza (before the corpse) was done on 02 April 2016 at 1 pm local time and he was thereafter buried at the Cardonald Cemetery, Glasgow.

Anyway, we, the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam have no enmity with anyone. When I say this, I am not saying anything against Syead Asadul Islam Shah Sahib or the others.

I had to say these things today to better explain the ways of the Jamaat Ahmadiyya nowadays and verily Allah made a great trial with the fifth Khalifatul-Massih, for he had to deal with a similar case of revelations and claimant to prophethood, and thus each person has the opportunity of seeing all that and shall be able to ponder over that situation and come to their own conclusion.

For me personally, like I stated in my Friday Sermon last week, I had a good relation with Syead Asadul Islam Shah Sahib. And I can state that before anyone else, the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam was the first to conduct his (absentee) Namaz-e-Janaza. Allah (swt) decreed it that way. Alhamdulillah.

I again present my sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of Asad Shah Sahib. May Allah help them in their difficult moments and give them courage to face life and enable them to trust in Allah, for verily all that Allah does it is indeed the implementation of His will which is of utmost importance. Ameen.
