2013- Jalsa Salana in Kerala: A Report

Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam Kerala observed its second Jalsa Salana at the historic Noorul Islam Masjid, Mathra, 22-23 December 2013. Brothers from Palakkad, Alappuzha and Kaliyikkavila, and also from Delhi, reached ahead of the scheduled formal commencement of the two-day programme.   Registration proceedings ended at 11.00 AM on December 22nd, and the Inaugural Session started with the Recitation of the Qur’an (Tilawat-ul Qur’an) by DA Zainul Abdeen Sahib. K. Salim Sahib offered a formal welcome note to everyone present on the occasion.

Fazil Jamal Sahib chaired the Inaugural Session. He observed that the Promised Massih (as) in the previous era and the Khalifatullah (atba) in our times, have attached  much imporatnce to the Jalsa Salana as an occassion to come, stay and pray together in an atmosphere of brotherly affection and friendly discussion about various spiritual matters and religious questions. Strengthening our faith and beliefs in solidarity with like-minded people becomes possible through our active and informed participation in the Jalsa proceedings, he noted.

Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Sahib inaugurated the Jalsa Salana programme. In his speech, the Amir Sahib pointed to the trials of faith that are around us, in each moment of our lives. Drawing on Qur’anic verses, the Amir Sahib stated that belivers are to stand tall amidst the chaos and crisis that their close relatives and family membvers may manufacture. As a consequence, angels will descend on them conveying inner contentment, peace and tranquility in this very world when they are otherwise engulfed by the enemies.

A Warning to an Ahmadi Amir in Kerala

As the 2013 Jalsa Salana of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Kerala was taking place at the Noor’ul Islam Masjid in Mathra on December 22-23, members of the Jamaat from outside the place were also present there. Some of them had a Tabligh encounter with Mr. Abdul Saleem, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Mathra, Kerala.

Mr. Saleem had so much confidence in his own theological positions that he invited our brothers to his house for a discussion on the Divine Manifestation in Mauritius. Once the discussion started and he realized that his blind faith in the Ahmadiyya Khilafat cannot withstand the critical scrutiny of Qur’anic guidance, he lost his original plot of “guiding the brothers”. As his nefarious plan to deviate the brothers collapsed like a pack of cards, the host came under satanic impulses and sobriety and civility vanished into thin air. He fumed with rage, started a virulent, verbal attack on the guests, abusing and vilifying the Divine Manifestation, the Divine Messenger and his humble disciples. Starkly reflecting the path travelled by one Muhammad Hussein of Batala, who infamously predicted the end of the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya with the death of the Promised Massih Hadhrat Ahmad (as) in the previous era, the fatally unfortunate Mr. Saleem expressed the same curses on the new Divine Manifestation of our times.

In his Friday Sermon of December 27, 2013 the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius took serious note of this development and warned this Amir and those like him who wishes to see a bad end for the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam in very profound words of advice:

‘The World will Testify to Miracles in My Favour’

In the course of his Friday Sermon of 27 December 2013, the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius mentioned parts of a larger Divine Revelation in French, which Allah (swa) inspired him while preparing the Sermon (on 25 December 2013; AN):

“You should know that in the creation of man God has initiated such a process which wills that man progresses from the animal state to a moral and spiritual state which will give him satisfaction in himself, in his environment and his Creator, God Almighty.

It should be noted here that the idolaters, the so-called scholars and religious people do not represent the law of God on earth. With the help of divine revelation, God raises His chosen servant to guide himself first of all, perfecting him into a creature subject to the will of God who will know how to lead the world tomorrow on the right path.

‘Man needs both Science and Faith’

In his Friday Sermon of 27 December 2013, the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius spoke profoundly on the instrumental role of science and the intrinsic merit of a moral compass offered by faith in the construction of true humanism and social order and the perils of rigidism so as to avoid the pitfalls of blind faith and value-neutral science.

Read the Extracts from the Friday Sermon:

"We have seen that science and faith, far from being contradictory, are perfectly complementary. Another question now arises: is it possible that science and faith can substitute each other whereby one takes the place of the other?

After defining the role of science and of faith, it will not be necessary either to ask this question or to answer it. It is clear that science cannot replace faith; faith which in addition to the light and power, gives us love and hope, enhances the level of our aspirations, and which moreover not only helps us in choosing goals and objectives and guide us in the way we have to go to reach, but moreover makes us change certain goals and aspirations, which instinctively and by nature, focus on individualism and self-centeredness to aspirations based on love and spiritual passion of goodness; it (faith) is an instrument at our disposal, it can transform our essence and our quiddity. Faith cannot also replace science which makes us have knowledge of nature and discover its laws, and allows us to know ourselves.

Muharram: Naya Saal Mubarak!

Imam- Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam International Hazrat Muhyiuddin Al Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius extends ‘Naya Saal Mubarak’ to all Muslims in his Friday Sermon of 08 November 2013:

'Today Friday is the 4th Muharram 1435 Hijri – the first Friday Sermon of the Islamic Calendar.  It is unfortunate that the Muslims have forgotten their teachings and the important month of their calendar year. Just think how many Muslims have welcomed the sacred month, and new Islamic year, Muharram! Monday the 4th November 2013the moon was visible and Allah graced us by His immense favour and made us witness the new Islamic year. But unfortunately, and I am sure of it, many Muslims did not take this into consideration, but on the other hand, in more than a month and a half, the New year 2014 shall come. Then just see how many of our Muslim brothers and sisters shall involve themselves to welcome the new year 2014 with festivities, and spending new year’s eve in lighting up firecrackers till midnight.

On the other hand, Allah (swt) has given us an Islamic new year where each of us (Muslims) can make a self-analysis from Muharram last till this Muharram to see which progress has been made in our everyday mundane and spiritual. Is it that when we saw these weaknesses in spirituality, be it for our obligatory prayers, Zikr, the reading of the Holy Quran and the other acts of worship, have we done those well? Have we read the Holy Quran with translation and commentary, and have all these practices had a spiritual effect on us during this past Islamic year or not? If not, do we think that with the start of Muharram 1435 Hijri can we take a resolution to ameliorate our lives, especially our spiritual lives?

“I have God as My Witness –Will You Believe?”

“A Fresh Sign, Shock of a Fresh Sign”.
Divine Message received on Thursday 24 October 2013 (After Zuhr prayer at 1.20 pm)
The prophecy apparently speaks of an earthquake but the description of this earthquake indicates that it was to be a worldwide calamity resembling an earthquake. Other revelations on the subject also indicated a calamity other than an earthquake. I first write the revelation which I am receiving today containing the prophecy:
“A fresh sign, Shock of a fresh sign”.  An earthquake resembling the Doomsday. Save your lives. I descended for your sake. We will show many signs for your sake. We will destroy whatever the world is building. We will destroy the Zalim of this era, whatever big, big plots making against My Khalifatullah. Say, “I have God as my witness –will you believe?”

JIHAD in Islam: Concept and Practice

Friday Sermon of 01 November 2013:

“O Prophet, fight against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them.” (9: 73).

This verse is a clear call to Jihad, but does not mention the taking of arms. The Holy Prophet (pbuh) indeed engaged in defensive wars against the non-believers of Makkah, but never took up arms against the hypocrites of Medina, even after their betrayal in the battle of Uhud. It is therefore clear that the above mentioned jihad is not the armed jihad. The term jihad is derived from Jahada which means making intense efforts to the ultimate limit (29: 6). Jihad is an important injunction for Muslims; it is mentioned in no less than 36 places in the Holy Quran.

Jihad, as it is apparent from reading the Holy Quran denotes three types of battles:

1) The battle against the self (nafs).
2) The battle against evil in all its forms.
3) The armed battle against the visible enemy.

We can differentiate between the three types of jihad by respectively calling them Jihad-i-Akbar (the supreme jihad), Jihad-i-Kabir (the greater jihad) and jihad-i-Saghir (the lesser jihad). The Holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh) believed that the Jihad-i-Akbar is the ultimate battle, the noblest and he said, to his troops upon returning from the campaign of Tabuk: “We have returned from the lesser Jihad to the greater Jihad”. In which sense did he say that?
