The essence of 'Islam'

My dear disciples,

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakaatuhu.

I hope and pray that you have maximised your time in spiritual learning and reinforcing your ties of brotherhood and sisterhood during this blessed Jalsa Salana event. May Allah always maintain you on the way of rectitude and grant you relief from all burdens and difficulties of life, and encourage you in His way to promote His will in the world. Ameen.

You should know that one of the most essential qualities of a true believer is their Submission to the Will of Allah and having a firm belief in His Divine Plan.

Submission to the will of Allah is the very heart of faith and the essence of Islam. The word ‘Islam’ itself means submission and peace, and it refers to the surrender of one’s entire being to the Creator. Allah commands in the Holy Qur’an: “O you who believe! Enter into Islam completely and do not follow the footsteps of Satan; indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.” (Al-Baqara 2: 209)

This verse makes clear that submission is not partial or selective; it is complete, unconditional, and sincere. It is not only the outward act of obedience but also the inward surrender of the heart, mind, and soul to the Divine Will. To submit is to recognise that Allah alone is the Sovereign, and His decree governs all creation.

The Prophets of Allah were sent as examples of perfect submission. Each of them faced trials that tested their obedience and patience, yet they remained steadfast.

Hazrat Ibrahim (as) was commanded to sacrifice his beloved son Isma’il (as), and both father and son submitted to the will of Allah without hesitation.

Before this, he was commanded to place his wife Hazrat Hajra (ra) and his son Isma’il (as) in the desert of Pharan, known as Bakkah (and now: Makkah), near the Holy House (i.e. Ka’aba Shareef) which was then in ruins. He travelled long distances, and left his wife and child there, only on the command of Allah; a place where there was absolutely no one. Allah willed that through this sacrifice of separation from his wife and son, and a wife and son from their husband and father respectively, where distance made it difficult for Hazrat Ibrahim (as) to see them regularly or as often as he would have wished, but nevertheless, Hazrat Ibrahim (as) did make the effort to meet his wife and son in Bakkah, which by that time became lively after Allah manifested the miracle of the Zamzam water, attracting travellers to Makkah who sought permission from Hazrat Hajra (ra) to dwell in this place. Hazrat Hajra (ra) agreed but on the condition that they will have no rights of ownership to the Zamzam water. They agreed, and the people flourished (both in terms of numbers and blessings) and Hazrat Isma’il (as) grew up in such an environment, until Allah ordained Ibrahim (as) to reconstruct the Holy House of Allah along with Isma’il (as).

History does not recount it in details, but it was very difficult for Hazrat Ibrahim (as) in his old age to meet with his wife and son as frequently as he would have wished, but he was grateful for the few times Allah opened his way to visit them and staying with them for few days or weeks before heading back to his wife Sarah.

So, here, we find the plan of Allah being constructed and fulfilled. Sacrifice was necessary and Hazrat Hajra (ra) showed great resilience by being alone, by acting like a single mother caring for her child while Hazrat Ibrahim (as) was far away.

By His great wisdom, kindness, and knowledge, Allah shaped Hazrat Isma’il’s (as) future as a Prophet of Allah. When the time came for the fulfilment of the sacrifice which his father saw in his vision, Isma’il (as) did not hesitate to submit to the will of Allah like the obedient child that he was. The Holy Qur’an records Hazrat Isma’il (as) as saying: “O my father, do as you are commanded; you will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast” (As-Saffat 37: 103)

His willingness to surrender to Allah’s command became a great symbol of faith and sacrifice, so much so that Allah deemed it of paramount importance to inscribe it in His Holy Qur’an. Both father and son, and even mother displayed great levels of faith and trust in Allah. They were rewarded greatly with the advent of the greatest prophet of all times in their descent, i.e. Hazrat Muhammad Mustapha (pbuh).

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the Seal of all the Prophets, and during his lifetime, he also endured rejection, hardship, and persecution, yet his patience and reliance upon Allah never wavered. His life was a living testimony that submission brings strength, dignity, and ultimate success.

The Holy Qur’an also presents the contrasting example of Iblis, who refused to submit when Allah commanded the angels to prostrate before Adam. While the angels obeyed, Iblis arrogantly disobeyed, claiming superiority because he was created from fire while Adam was created from clay. Allah says:

“And when We said to the angels, ‘Prostrate to Adam,’ they all prostrated except Iblis. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers” (Al- Baqara 2: 35)

This refusal illustrates how pride and rebellion against Allah’s command lead to ruin. Submission is not optional; it is the very measure of faith. The angels, created without desire, submitted instantly, while Iblis – a Jinn – endowed with choice, chose arrogance and was cast out. This is a lesson for mankind: pride blinds the heart, while humility opens the way to Divine mercy.

Among the Prophets, there is also the story of Yunus (as), who momentarily turned away from his mission. He directed his attention to a specific people while Allah wanted him to go to another nation, and as a consequence, he was swallowed by a great fish. We now understand the fish to be a whale; even though it is a mammal, but it lives in the sea and was big enough to swallow someone where the latter could either remain alive for some time or ultimately die. Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:

In the darkness of the whale’s belly, Yunus (as) repented and supplicated: Laa Ilaaha Illah anta Subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-Zaalimeen “There is no god except You; glory be to You (Allah). Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers” (Al- Anbiya 21: 88)

Allah forgave him and returned him to the appointed people He initially planned for him to go to, where he fulfilled his mission. This incident shows that even Prophets of Allah are subject to Allah’s Will, and their success lies in repentance and renewed submission.

The Divine Will governs not only the lives of Prophets but also every aspect of human existence. Allah declares:

“And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Wise” (Al-Insan 76: 31).

Human beings may plan, but Allah decides what is best. Sometimes a person may desire something intensely, yet Allah withholds it, knowing that it would bring harm. At other times, trials are placed before a believer to test patience and faith. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Wondrous is the affair of the believer, for there is good for him in every matter; and this is not the case with anyone except the believer. If he is happy, then he thanks Allah, and thus there is good for him; if he is harmed, then he shows patience, and thus there is good for him.” (Muslim)

This Hadith explains in a most beautiful way that submission transforms both ease and hardship into blessings.

Ultimately, everything unfolds according to Allah’s Will. When blessings are granted, the believer says ‘Alhamdulillah’; when trials occur, the believer says ‘Allah knows best’. Trials purify the soul and strengthen faith. Submission is not passive resignation but active trust in the wisdom of the Creator. It is the path of peace, the way of the Prophets, and the key to success in this world and the Hereafter.

As Allah assures the believers in His Holy Qur’an:

“Indeed, those who have said, ‘Our Lord is Allah’ and then remained steadfast – the angels will descend upon them, (saying), ‘Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised’” (Ha Mim Al-Sajda 41: 31)

Submission to Allah’s Will is thus the highest honour, the greatest protection, and the surest way to eternal felicity. I pray that all my disciples and followers – now, and till the Day of Judgement – be true submitters to Allah, not only on the lips, but with their hearts and souls also. Those who live Islam with sincerity become part and parcel of Islam, and they are not separate from Islam. Today, you are blessed to be Muslims, and others through your Dawa will get the message also, and become Muslims, and those who are already born in Muslim families, they become true Muslims in every way – not just by merely being born into Islam and living life like a machine, without truly connecting to Allah as He deserves to be connected to.

Remember that your true identity is your connection to Allah. If you comply with Allah’s commands and submit to His will, He will take you to the peak of His mercy and kindness, and bless you with His presence, both in this world and the Hereafter. This is what I wish for all those who sincerely believe in me as the Khalifatullah of this age. I have come from Allah for a purpose, to warn you, to direct you, to issue you the right advices, so that you may accede to Allah in a most authentic way, as true – Sahih – Muslims, and that Allah may bless your generations also with true Islam, and continue to guide you and preserve you from both His wrath and hellfire. Insha-Allah, Ameen.

I wish you all in the Kerala Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, long lives and devoted hearts to the Cause of Allah. May this Jamaat flourish and be blessed with pure and

devoted souls till the Day of Judgement. May Allah remove all impurities from you and guide you to perfect your Islam in the best way. I wish and pray for the same fate for the rest of my sincere disciples.

Remember, today you are few, but if you trust in Allah’s plan, and make the necessary effort for the propagation of His truth in the world, Insha-Allah, the light which flicker and spread through your humble efforts shall cause massive spiritual revolution in the world. If you want a Tsunami of people to embrace the truth of Islam, and to recognise and accept the Divine Manifestation in the world, you should learn how to make the necessary endeavours in Allah’s path and trust in His plan and to never falter in your faith and spiritual resolution. You may ask yourselves: When will the help of Allah and victory come? – Remember, this victory begins with you. When you conquer your own universe; that very spiritual universe found within you, you will then be able to master the universe around you. When you submit to the Will of Allah, Allah will cause His living and even non-living things to manifest themselves through His command in your favour, in the favour of truth. When you are truthful, when truth irradiates from you, Allah will make the pure souls to see it, and they will come in large numbers to you. When that time comes, you should be the true representation of Islam in the world. While no one is perfect, but Allah sees your effort and will help you in your reform as teachers of Islam to those thirsty of truth.

Therefore, be firm in the Way of Allah and do not neglect your duties to Him. I call upon all Amirs and Branch Presidents and Sadrs of the Siraj Makin to monitor the works of the members of Amila and the rest of the Ashaab al Faraj and Suruj Makin closely. Keep up with the Dawa works, including the videos for social media in the several languages, as well as timely and regular attendance in the Al-Azim Tafsir’ul Quran classes everyday. Let your soul be alert to the words of Allah and His Khalifatullah, and make your everyday worthy to receive the blessings of Allah and His mercy.

May Allah help you and the future generations to carry out this sacred task with dedication and love, and most importantly, with Taqwa. Insha-Allah, Ameen Summa Ameen, Ya Rabbul Aalameen.

Now join me in Duah

Duah! ... Ameen, Summa Ameen, Ya Rabbul Aalameen.

Assalamoualaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakaatuhu.

Fi-Aman-Allah.
