South Kerala Jalsa Salana 2014: A Report

Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam- South Kerala (India) organized its Fourth  Jalsa Salana at Noorul Islam Masjid, Mathra, 22-23 December 2014. Alhamdulillah.

Brothers from Kannur, Alappuzha and Malappuram, and also from Delhi, reached ahead of the commencement of the two-day programme that largely revolved around speeches and extended conversations, discussing the finer points of being a believer in these difficult times where the world around us is largely indifferent to Tawheed and all that it entails in our private lives and public conduct as a community of people with shared interests and concerns, common goals under the banner of Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam and the Imamat of the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius.  

On the first day, all brothers and sisters collectively offered the Tahajjud prayers and it was followed later by the Namaz-e-Fajr.  Mukarram Amir Jamaluddin Sahib of Mathra formally inaugurated the Jalsa Salana programme by conducting a Dars-e-Qur’an, immediately after the Fajr Namaz . In his speech, the Amir Sahib pointed to the subtle verities of spiritual wisdom contained in Surah Al Fatihah and the enduring promise of Divine guidance available to all true and sincere believers in every age till the Day of Judgement. 

At 12.00 noon, all members assembled for a new session. Based on the recent series of Friday Sermons delivered by the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba), the Amir Sahib explained at length the significance of purification of heart for spiritual life.  A Malayalm Translation of the booklet, “Heart: A Study”, being a Translation of the aforesaid series of Friday Sermons of Huzur (atba) was released on the occasion. Senior member Saleem Sahib recieved the first copy of the Book from the Mukarram Amir Sahib. After the Inaugural Session Namaz-e- Zuhar was followed by Lunch and rest. 

At 4.00 pm, the Second Session continued the theme of Heart purification, with the Amir Sahib explaining the Friday Sermons of the Khalifatullah (atba) on the subject. After the Namaz-e-Aser, every one joined in the cleaning drive in and around the Masjid premises. 

After Maghrib prayer  in the evening,  there was a special sesion devouted to discuss the many advices of the Huzur (atba) on spiritual and secular matters so as to improve the personal fortunes and spiritual progress of the Jamaat  memebers. After the Isha prayers, there was a discussion on various Deen-matters and later, dinner was served.

On 23rd December, Day-2 of the Jalsa, members performed the Tahajjud prayers, collectively,  at 4.30 am. Later, Namaz-e-Fajer was offered at 5.15 am. This was followed by the Dars-ul-Qur’an session with the Amir Sahib reciting and explaining the verses 21-23 of  Surah Al Mujadalah .  

At 12.00 noon, a special session explaining the significance of Divine guidance in every age for purposes of spiritual renewal was held. An Ahmad brother, O Muhammad Sahib of Tirur (Malappuram)  and Mr. AbdusSalam of the Sunni Jamaat were present on the occassion amongst our brothers. The significance of recognizing the Divine servant of our times, the Khalifatullah and Muhyi-ud-Din of our times- was highlighted by the Amir Sahib, quoting extensively from the Holy Qur’an, sacred Ahadith and also the explanations of the Promised Massih Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) of Qadian. In the same session after the Speech, a Meritorious Award and Cash Prize was offered to Master Zakariah Ibnu Zain, for his excellent performance in his school education, by the respected Amir Sahib, Masha Allah.   

In the evening, after the Maghrib prayers, the special message of the Khalifatullah (atba) for the Jalsa Salana was read out in English by Hazrat Mukarram Fazil Jamal Sahib and he also offered a simultaneous Malayalam Translation of the profound  message  to the gathering.

After the Isha prayers, the brother from Malappuram, Janab O. Muhammad Sahib, expressed the wish to join the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam after spending the previous two days among us, learning and observing the spirit of Islam that he said he missed in the Jamaat-e-Ahmadiyya (Qadian) with which he was associated for the last decade or so. Amir Sahib explained to him the conditions of Bai’at and the responsibilities it entails for him as a member of the Jamaat of Allah (swa), the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, and as a disciple of the Khalifatullah (atba). After, duly signing on the Bai’at form and approval by the Khalifatullah (atba), O Muhammad Sahib formally becomes a member of the Jamaat, Insha Allah.

On Deecember 24th,  after offering Tahajjud prayers and Namaz-e- Fajr, a  special Thanksgiving DUAH was offered by all for the success of the Programme and the members departed from the venue with renewed spiritual fervour and  verve, Alhamdulillah. Summa Alhamdulillah.
