Bibi Momin Azim Sahiba (1928-2012)

BIBI MOMIN AZIM SAHIBA, the respected and beloved mother of the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim (atba) of Mauritius, died on June 30, 2012. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiuun....She was 84 years old and the death came after a brief illness. Hailing from a spiritually distinguished family with a track record of great sacrifice and considerable service to Islam, Bibi Sahiba’s forefathers were among the earliest Ahmadis of the Island nation. Bibi Momin Azim Sahiba was an important and exceptional witness to the current Divine Manifestation in Mauritius from its very early days. May Allah grant the departed, pious soul a high and lofty place in the bliss of Jannat. Ameen, Summa Ameen.  In his Friday Sermon of July 06, 2012 Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim (atba) thanked all those who offered her Janaza prayers and briefly described the events of the last days of Bibi Momin Azim Sahiba’s earthly life. The shadow of Allah’s help and succour comes to the Party of Allah in myriad ways even in times of death and funeral.

“Before ending, by the grace of Allah, I would like to thank all my disciples and all those who have directly expressed or sent their sincerest condolences about the sad demise of my beloved mother Bibi Momin Azim Sahiba and who prayed her Janaza prayers. Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, it gives my heart tranquillity to find such love for Allah, His Rassool and the mother of Allah's Rassool in your heart.

She was really an exceptional lady, and despite that all her children except this humble self are found in the Jamaat Ahmadiyya (mainstream), but she never hesitated to stand firm along with her son, the Messenger of Allah, to such an extent that Allah gave this humble self the blessing to have my mother with me and my family members in our house in her last days. She even emitted signs that she would be going away, by telling this humble self that this was the last time that she would be coming to my place. Prior to taking her to the hospital, I and my family members gave away Sadqua and took her to a private doctor and made all the necessary tests and eco and we also prayed a lot. After 8 days of staying with me, we had to admit her to the hospital due to sudden deterioration in her health.

During her last visit (before this actual visit), she even expressed her last wishes that it is I, her beloved son and our Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam who have to take charge of her Janaza rites and prayers. She even told other members of the family that she wished that it is this humble self who prays her Janaza prayers. Alhamdulillah, Allah accepted her intention and wishes and Alhamdulillah, her Janaza rites went off with respect and amicably (with the cooperation of the family members found in the mainstream Jamaat Ahmadiyya), and all that she wished were realised and Alhamdulillah, it is I her son and our Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam members who first prayed her Janaza prayers at 13.20pm. And before her body was taken for burial at 15.00pm, the Jamaat Ahmadiyya prayed her Janaza prayers.

Allah manifested this situation in such a way that even though the Amir Jamaat of the mainstream Jamaat Ahmadiyya was present in the second Janaza congregation, yet he was unable to prevent this humble self from participating actively in my mother’s funeral. One question pops in the mind: Why then, after long years of severe boycott to create dissension among family members, have the family members accepted to let this humble self have my way with the Janaza rites and prayers, even in the presence of their Amir Jamaat?

The latter and his acolytes saw this humble self and panicked to such an extent that their Janaza prayer lasted less than two minutes! The congregation of Ahmadi Muslims were also astonished that the Janaza prayer was cut that short! But as per the will of Allah, they could do nothing, and Alhamdulillah, Summa Alhamdulillah, the last wishes of my dear mother were realised and her son, the Messenger of Allah led her first needed funeral prayer at 13.20 before the assembly of the Ahmadi Muslims. Verily, Laa Ghaliba Illallah – All victory belongs to Allah!

By the grace of Allah, the last days of my mother at my place meant also that she got the final spiritual food with the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam also. She attended her last Jummah (Friday 22 June 2012) with the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, she prayed her Tahajjud and all Farz prayers behind this humble self and the congregation of the believers, she assisted the sessions of Daras Quran and she enjoyed following the Zikr-i-Ilaahi and invocations to Allah made every night until Thursday night 28 June 2012, we admitted her in the hospital and it was at 03.45am on Saturday 30 June 2012 that she passed away. Innal Lillaahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raajeeoune.

By the grace of Allah, there were many signs and revelations which this humble self and my family members received and there are many signs also which my mother personally received before her demise.

Her dreams which she made at my place were forewarnings of her imminent death and her talks even went into that direction. The first thing she told this humble self in the car when I came to fetch her, was that it was the last time that she would be coming to my place. Moreover, during the week, at the dinner table she told us that she would be only staying with us for 8 days.

Even in the hospital there were many divine signs manifested, and during her last stay with me in my house, she even witnessed the descent of a divine revelation on this humble self, saying that there are two "heads" (meaning two great people or two elders) who shall passed away. Verily, this revelation came true. On the same day that she died, another old Ahmadi Muslim lady in the south of Mauritius also died, at an earlier time (near 02.00am approx.) Moreover Allah since long gave me a list of all people who shall die in 2012, and my mother also was on that list. What Allah decreed verily came true.

Manifestation of a Bee at the Funeral

All my family members who are also members of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam who were actively present at the time of her last bath reported that after the Ghusl (complete bath) there was the manifestation of a bee which went around the corpse of my dear mother and then came near them and then went away. Just after being informed about this manifestation of the bee, upon opening the Holy Quran, my hands through the will of Allah opened directly on the Chapter An-Nahl (The bee) and thereafter Allah gave me a series of revelations and explanations about the manifestation of this bee near my mother’s body. The following is a brief of the extensive explanations I received:

1.     The bee represents an angel who manifested its presence at that time, thus indicating that Allah is with us and her and that the blessings of Allah are upon us.

2.     Allah accepted the will of my mother and made her last rites a blessed one with her son as the Imam of her last prayers, despite the mountain of difficulties there were previously with the rest of her children found in the mainstream Jamaat Ahmadiyya.

3.     The bee receives divine revelations and thus all that happened, happened only with the blessing of Allah and manifested the truthfulness of the Divine Manifestation and my mother’s firm stand in the Divine Manifestation.

Moreover, Allah manifested a startling sign on my little grand-child (the grand-child of my late brother and disciple Azize Azim who also was a miracle child after duahs which this humble self made prior to his birth) whose name is also Azize. This child, aged 3 years old received divine revelations and woke up at 03.00 am one or two days prior to the death of my mother and reported that he saw himself eating pomegranate while “Kala Rubina” (whose other name is “Momin”) was drinking the juice of pomegranate in a beautiful garden. After telling his mother this vision he went to sleep and then afterwards woke up again and said that he saw that he was plucking Roses for “Kala Rubina” (Momin) and giving it to her in a beautiful garden.

By the grace of Allah, my beloved mother led a pious life (84 years), in excellent health condition despite her old age. It was only in her last days that she fell ill due to a mild cold and sadly left us for her eternal abode in, Insha-Allah the best of conditions and spiritual form. By the grace of Allah, she was buried in the same grave as her beloved son Azize Azim, my brother and firm disciple who died in the times of Jamaat Ahmadiyya Al Mouslemeen back in May 2006. This is also a manifestation of Allah which indicates clearly that the mother of the Messenger of Allah belongs in the soil of the Divine Manifestation.

May Allah bless her always, forgive her all her mistakes she may have done in her lifetime on earth and may Allah accept her graciously as His beloved and love her dearly in the loftiest of all Jannat. Ameen.

Jazak-Allah to all of you in Mauritius and also my dear ones in Kerala, India, Japan, Trinidad and Tobago and the islands for your expression of love, sympathy and prayers in these bereaved times. May Allah bless you all and reward you more than that, be it in this world and the hereafter. Insha-Allah, Ameen.
